Two stars for the cool room with nice feel, and the very friendly and efficient service, but the food doesn't get stars from me. Wife and I visited early evening on a Saturday (we had plans later), and picked inside table because it was humid. Outside tables look great though. We asked the waitress what was good and she took us through the menu, noting that she considers many entrees appetizers for she and her friends. We started splitting the Waldorf salad. It's a twist, in that the dressing was stiffly sitting on one side of the plate and the cukes were cut lengthwise, which seemed strange to me because now they had noodle texture instead of crunch. Still, not bad. I had the steak for dinner, and I ordered it medium rare. When it arrived, it was underwhelming (did not look like the advertised 10 ounces) and it was uniformly grey throughout... well done. I decided not to send it back, but as I ate, the piece of meat was a gristly mess. The "mille-feuille" potatoes that came with it were awesome though. My wife got the double cheeseburger, which she was warned was smash style and couldn't be made to order, which was fine. She didn't eat much of it and she asked me to taste it, and something with was definitely off with the meat. The atomic fries were nice. Wow! What a disappointing experience. We decided to host a group dinner here with our VIPs. There were numerous issues (incorrect orders, forgotten orders, food not prepared properly, slow/no service, etc. etc. etc). When we attempted to provide feedback to the manager, she argued point- by-point, rather than at least listen to the feedback. No acknowledgement was given and no accommodations were made. Went here with my brother after helping him move into a new apartment in this area. They are featured in Guide to Imbibe so we were able to get buy one get one free drinks of either the Surreal Mojito or Caribbean Heritage so we did one of each! We also did the Oyster appetizer and the pepperoni pizza. The vinegar that came with the oysters was good but neither of us were crazy about their signature spicy sauce. The pizza was so good, the crust was soft and fluffy and I wish I got a photo of the cheese pull when we tried to pull out the first piece! We sat outside because it was a nice day but the interior of the restaurant was so cool and well designed. They also have a little take away area with what looked like coffee and pastries! i've been to this restaurant at least half a dozen times and they never disappoint. the food is exceptional and is award winning. i really enjoy the ethnic fusion recipes they have on rotation but also their classics like the double cheeseburger with organic meat/cheese. their beer and wine selection is phenomenal too. you can get a peroni from italy, a sapporo from japan, a guinness from ireland, and etc. highly recommend. if you have room in your stomach try their lava cake. read more

BLUF: Terrible service, unimpressive food, but great space. The ambiance was great! The food was tolerable...but the wait staff is what warrants a 2 star review. The waiter spent half the time visually flirting with my date and the other half pushing for drinks. Given that this place presented itself as a more elevated dinning establishment, I presumed basic wait manners (ie removing unneeded plates or menus, stopping and checking in on the food, or simply asking if we're ready for the check) would be observed. The staff appeared to be operating on a bare minimum effort...when my card was swiped, it automatically declined because of the strip being worn out--instead of trying to charge like other establishments would, my waiter opted to ask for another card. After being instructed to run it properly, it went through...at which point the waiter left my card and receipt on the table next to me vice handing it back for signature. read more

So, with a depth of knowledge on the BBQ circuit from competing and catering, I'd never heard of a Nashville style of brisket so I thought I'd give it a whirl. We went here for our anniversary and actually really enjoyed it. Place is situated between a bunch of offices, but I don't think this is a bite after work sort of place. It's a sit down long dinner kind of place. Started with cocktails and salad. Salad was very good. Fresh produce, good dressing, unique use of capers and fried angel hair. Lady got the Saigon sandwich and it was super flavorful, I got the veal Mac parm and it was a great mix of marinara sauce and a Mac n cheese like parm. They comped us dessert and bubbly for anniversary which was nice. The desert was a cheesecake with a tangerine topping and it was delicious. I think they lowered prices a bit because about everything was between $15 and $20. Whole bill was under $150. Prices online when we booked reservation were higher I'm pretty sure. Service was good. For a place with a fun menu and good cocktails it was 5 stars. Not going to win any Michelin stars, but I don't need a 7 course tasting menu and it was a good time. The menu was underwhelming and food is very over priced I ordered the Halloween Gnocchi - which was very tasty and quite good but for $30.00 I would have expected a full bowl of pasta not such a small portion of food. My husband ordered the white pizza and added chicken to it per the recommendation of our server. The pizza was quite good but when we got the bill and saw they charged $12.00!! Extra for the chicken..that is crazy! Most places charge $5-$8 Extra for chicken. 12 00 is highway robbery! And...get this..they charged $4.00 for ice!! Ice! This is water that is free! The ambiance is great, but I wouldn't counter-argue someone for preferring Chili's, which there's nothing wrong with, over this restaurant. The pizza came out extremely hard. My colleague's salmon looked like something I could cook at home, which she agreed; the french fries were soggy and embedded in a bed of sauce, and the poke rice felt old, with a texture of next-day, microwaved rice. The only aspect that saved the restaurant at its current state from a one-star review was the desserts. The pastry chef kills it. You know how some tables have a thing you can scan to pay your bill without waiting: There wasn't one on my table. I'm a huge fan of the seven reasons restaurant group (specifically imperfecto ). I love the concept of surreal the inside is very posh and Instagram worthy, the service is very good and attentive. The drink menu is incredible as well. Everything I had was good. There are a few tweaks I would suggest. Our host sat us with drink menus only and we had to ask for dinner menus even tho it was right around dinner time (6 PM) and the menu was large like a placemat that took up a lot of table space so I think there's some room for improvement there. The food was all really good but the wings were underwhelming, very small and they were similar to what you could get at a typical wing spot (but these are all flats) . However the mac and cheese bites that came with them were unbelievable and so was the guac.. all in all I will definitely be back. read more

My other friend ordered the Branzino fish and indicated it tasted very 'fishy' and did not like it. The food was not good and did not meet expectations for the price. Also, draft beers come in a small water-type glass and only offer three or four sips.
