This pizza joint is my favorite by far! I always order delivery because I live in San Juan . They never disappoint. Staff is so friendly and my pizza actually arrives on time:) it's always hot when I receive it. My absolute favorite is the Pete's special!! OMG! They also have killer buffalo wings. I order them extra crispy. Tonight I ordered the Pete's special with the stuffed crust because I'm currently not on a diet and pizza makes me happy:) I can't believe I've never ordered they're stuffed crust! We're starting the New Year 2019 off right with eating dinner at Surfside Pizza, in San Clemente. They're located across the street from the DMV. If you buy any medium - sized pizza, you get another medium sized pizza for FREE - as long as it isn't more expensive than the one you started off with. I usually order the works and the Hawaiian pizza combo. You get both for 20 Bucks, out the door - such a deal!!!! YEAH - that's right!!! It's two for Tuesday, and we've been making a habit of doing this at least once a month, on Tuesday. Make a fresh green salad at home, cut up some orange slices to put on the side, and order your two pizzas on the phone. They will cook it and have it ready for pick-up usually within the hour. Never have I wanted to give an establishment such high praises. The food was nothing short of excellent and was brought to another level. The staff was so understanding and helpful when working with my order and cautious due to my families food allergies. The shop had such a welcoming environment and coziness to it. This restaurant had a cozy homey walking in. We ordered pizza in the store and waited 20 minutes for the order to come out. When it did the pizza was extremely hot and so cheesy, just like what you see in the movies. We got pineapple, mushroom, with half chicken, and half Canadian bacon (ham). All the toppings were delicious. The crust was also pretty thin but we didn't order thin crust. I didn't mind. X-large was enough to fill up two hungry people, size was good. read more

A friend recommended this Pizza place as he knew I would be at the DMV across the street for a while. I ordered a Stromboli and expected it to be the 8 inch size I see at other places. I was happily wrong. It was enough to feed 3 people! Im used to having a Stromboli where the meat and cheese just sits in the bottom of it with empty space above making it look stuffed, this was completely stuffed, no Air inside at all. As for the taste. It is honestly the best Stromboli I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The fresh olive oil baked into the crust wasnt overpowering but the perfect amount of flavor. The whole inside was completely stuffed with Sausage, pepperoni, cheese, and peppers but not too spicy. I'm looking forward to the next time I get to head down to San Clemente for lunch. I love this place! It has the best pizza, bone in chicken wings, and salads. My favorite is the Greek salad. The staff is so friendly and will deliver even down to my favorite beach spot while friends are surfing. There's nothing like getting a hot pizza delivered to you right in your beach chair. Have had great pizzas and sandwiches as well as customer service. Unfortunately in the last year or so the food has been incredibly inconsistent. Pizza crusts and toppings had been disappointing in more than half the orders. They have always made it right by offering comps, but the food order does not seem to be getting any more consistent. 50 minutes wait for food & 8-9 minutes on hold before that! Wondered what was in my order? Two 8 piece wings. That's it! My mom loves wings so I thought I would surprise her with a new place. The reason it's one star as I hurt my tooth biting into the wrong order. Mine was supposed to be bone out and I didn't realize that they took my order down wrong until about 30-40 mins in I was checking on it by asking if I got sauce in it and realized it. I had to come and question some of the hater posts here. I know for a fact that if someone isn't happy about their food with Surfside the management goes above and beyond to make it right. All it takes is a call, negative reviews aren't the way to go. With that being said, I had my go to favorite pizza, pepperoni and sausage which didn't disappoint. I know they make their own in-house sauce and dough. And I understand they use Winsconsin cheese, albeit a lot if it. Oh, I should mention the new gluten free cauliflower crust. They are friendly, up-beat and full of local beach community folks. They seem to do a LOT of local delivery. We've tried the supreme pizza (yeah, it really was) and the thin crust. It's good, Really good. If you're in the area, or just passing thru, it's worth finding. I have read a few negative reviews here, they are either disillusioned haters or they are confusing Surfside with somewhere else. This place is as good as pizza gets. There are a lot of great pizza places around San Clemente, and Surfside Pizza is up there with the best! Friendly staff, quick service, and fantastic food. They offer plenty of different styles, including Chicago Deep Dish. It's hard to find a decent place in Southern California that makes such a cheesy, saucy, amazing pie- and they knock it out of the park. Rib tips, wings, and plenty of sandwiches- not just Pizza here! My favorite has to be their rib tips: tender, sweet, and perfect for a party. I've gotten all of my friends addicted to this place (even my mother who only eats veggie pizzas- which their's is one of the best). Do yourself a favor- check this place out. If you're golfing, call ahead around the 8th hole and you can pick up a slice behind the store (the 10th hole is right behind) and you can pick it up as you come by. The inside is cozy (probably too small for a baseball or youth team), but they do deliver. Everyone is fantastic and really understand the community. I'll stop gushing, just go try it! read more

Hubby and i decided to find a spot to eat on our way home to San Diego and we found this pizza place by the beach area on yelp. It's a cute little establishment that looks like it will be undergoing some new renovations as plans were up on the wall. And from the sign on the wall it said it was under new management since 2017 so I guess change is definitely coming. None the less we tried mozzarella sticks and Pete's special pizza which was sausage, pepperoni, olive oil, fresh garlic, ricotta cheese deep dish style. The mozzarella sticks were like any other. Nothing to exciting but still good. The pizza was delicious and worth the 20min wait since it was a deep dish. Super cheesy and the sauce was delicious. So worth a cheat day on my diet!! This is exactly what my friends and I look for in a PIZZA. Excellent toppings and sauce/cheese. Their cappuccino's are on target, too. Their Calzones are the size of a bicycle seat. They DO offer pasta...marinara and Alfredo. Another reviewer said they didn't have pasta except for specials. Ken is so very nice and funny. He's very accommodating. They offer 5 styles of crust...love that, plus meatball pizza topping. Love that, too. The two new owners have "story boards" to show how they plan to update their restaurant to make it more spacious and hip. Let's patronize them so they can redecorate!! read more

My husband and I were staying in the area and since it was raining we chose to stay indoors. We ordered an antipasto salad and supreme pizza. Both exceeded our expectation.
