Peppers and ham omelette

Great little diner in downtown palm beach. Omelette was fresh and perfect. Gluten free bread which is always nice to have. Home fries were hot and grilled well Service was slow which is why I rated them his place a 4 stars

Power Start (breakie) with French fries

I was today years old when I discovered this diner on the island. I've been a patron of another diner on the island for years that I enjoy very much. This particular diner offers a wider variety of options to include many healthy choices. Although, it doesn't possess the same old school charm as the other diner I make reference to. The diner was very busy when we arrived with limited table options so we opted for seats at the center bar. This proved to be a great choice as our service was superb. Mateo was our server. My friend ordered a hot dog and French fries with a Coke. I ordered the Power Start with an iced tea. Typically, I enjoy a half cut tea but they only offer unsweetened iced tea. However, they were able to provide me with simple syrup on the side to sweeten my tea which is perfect because mixing sugar in iced tea is an absolute fail. The Power Start consisted of scrambled egg whites with chicken breast, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese. Essentially, it's a scrambled omelette. This was paired with multigrain toast and the patron's choice of an arugula salad or home fries. I paid an up charge for French fries. The portion was generous and provided me with leftovers. I enjoyed my initial experience at Surfside Diner very much and will definitely return. I'm a huge fan of breakie and love that they offer breakfast all day.

Yes, they do have diners in Palm Beach. I felt right at home. The oatmeal was nice and hot. They have it through out the week. Two thumbs up here. The portion size was plenty. I added blueberries to top off the oatmeal. It has a warm cozy atmosphere with a glass front so plenty of light. What a way to treat myself on a visit to Palm Beach

Wonderful breakfast in PB. Walking distance to beach. Eggs Benedict was great. Also has gluten free toast.

Great diner. I walked in on a Saturday morning and was immediately seated. The service was quick and the food was great. The prices are extremely reasonable. The Chicken Quesadilla was very large and delicious.

In the middle of Palm beach on a corner sits a diner that is both quaint and flavorful and will transport you back to what a beach diner is all about. Good Prices, great atmosphere and good people. The food choices reminds us all why we like a diner and what they have to offer.. Coffee, eggs Benedict and side of potatoes and ready for the day. The waitresses were so nice and accommodating. Don't miss this place, worth a stop for Bkfst, lunch or whenever. Good food. Good people and at the beach where else...

Greeted as I walked through the door and seated immediately. Not many visitors this morning but it is supposed to rain all day in the sunshine State, not exactly beach weather. The place is retro model and plays great music from the golden era....70s and 80s. Table, booth and bar seats are available. Order was taken immediately and the the food was out in under 10 minutes!! Waitress was very friendly and pleasant. Place was very clean and the food was delicious. Only thing preventing a 5-star is you pay for everything. Omelet ingredients to substitute muffin for toast. But they do have Heinz ketchup! Overall good experience and would certainly visit again if in the area. Chances are slim because if you are not a beach person or golfer, why visit WPB? Haha.

Mid. Definitely not all it's cracked up to be in reviews and how busy it is! Pros- - very cute bright atmosphere with vintage diner ambiance with breakfast bar stools and booths - looks very clean - food can be decent depending what you order Cons - - I paid $10 for this "bowl" of soup in a cup that wasn't even filled up. Prices are ridiculous and they can get away with it because it's palm beach. - I ordered a side salad and she wouldn't let me pick a dressing, I had to get the balsamic it comes with - service is SO slow, waited at the bar forever before being asked beverages, then again waited forever for food, then no one came to see how everything was or if we needed anything -- mind you we're at the bar so they could have literally taken 3 seconds to turn around and ask Probably wouldn't come here again but the ambiance is nice and relaxing even tho it's busy so they get an extra star for that

We dined in on a busy Sunday afternoon for a brunch for party of 10 plus a child. The place was nice and staff was welcoming. Wait time was about 10 mins before we were seated. Food was served in 20 mins fresh made. We had omelette, French toast, pancakes and egg Benedict. The great service, nice ambience and plenty to choose from menu makes it a five star in my list of breakfast options in Palm beach area.

They were pretty busy the whole time we were there. You can tell they get a lot of "regulars". The menu is large: lots of breakfast and lunch options. With a huge blackboard on the wall with daily specials listed. Service was wonderful, also. Attentive and caring. My husband ordered the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and broccoli. He got gravy on the side. I'm guessing he liked it as there was not a crumb left on his plate when done. I ordered the chicken pot pie from the daily specials board. It wasn't as expected, but quite good. The top "crust" of the "pie" (served in a long oval dish) was a few layers of filo dough. Underneath were a lot of nice chunks of white meat chicken, peas, and other veggies. All in a cream of chicken like sauce that was very good. Forgot to mention that the pot pie came with a cup of soup. There were three choices and I got the Greek lemon soup. It needed an extra squeeze of lemon and a dash of salt, but it was decent. For dessert, we wanted to try their coconut cake, but they were out. (They close at 3). We settled for sharing a slice of some warm apple pie with whipped cream on the side. The pie was good. Breakfast specials look great. And there are a lot of other lunch items I'd like to try here as well. This is a keeper.

With Greek influenced menu items this place was a hit! I…read morealways look for my standard Meatloaf on diner menus and they had it! Delicious and generous portion of meatloaf and mashed potatoes! Great stop in this bright and cheerful diner with great Coconut Cake for dessert!

I ordered the two eggs scrambled all the way with cheese grits, which came out hot and fresh and so much flavor. I barely needed to add butter, salt or pepper. The pancakes were good. I suggest eat those first, stirred grits, and eggs sent them to the side and let them cool because it's gonna be hot all the way through. I also got a side of biscuit to go with my grits and eggs, which I added jam to. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy with cheese, grits, and eggs as well. The biscuits and gravy was massive. The biscuits are huge and warm. The gravy was so savory and they had chunks of sausage. Including tip for all of this, the only the less than $60. Without tip it was $42. And essentially, we both got two meals a piece. The service was quick. Our tables were constantly being clean or service and the atmosphere is so clean nice and fine. Holy Howley's... what did I just eat?!…read more I stumbled into this funky little hidden gem in West Palm Beach and was not prepared for how damn good this place was. Started with the deviled eggs, and right away I knew something was different. Absolutely delicious. Then came the shepherd's pie and this is where Howley's completely threw me. Normally you're expecting that classic shepherd's pie with mashed potatoes over the filling. Nope. These people decided to cover theirs with the creamiest, cheesiest mac & cheese, bake the top until it's golden and crispy, and somehow make the whole thing work PERFECTLY. That combination with the savory filling underneath was absolutely insane. I'm sitting there looking at it like, who the hell thought of this?! But what really makes Howley's special is that it isn't just the food. The atmosphere, the people, the service, the personality of the place everything just works. It's funky, different, creative, unpretentious and feels like one of those places you accidentally discover and immediately want to tell everybody about. Amazing service. Amazing people. Amazing atmosphere. And food that actually surprised the hell out of me. Howley's, you got me. I'll absolutely be back.

We were in the neighborhood for an appointment at a dental lab and had about an hour to wait…read morebetween procedures. Not having had lunch we figured let's check a few local eateries. When I checked Howley's on yelp I was surprised that there were so many negative reviews. Howley's is managed by the Sub-Culture Group, and we dine regularly at Kapow in East Boca and Dada in Delray Beach, also managed by Sub-Culture. And while this is an entirely different type of food, I still wanted to take a chance and check them out. And we did and were pleased and more than satisfied. First, the decor is truly funky. I'm not sure if everything is from the 50's when they first opened, but it sure looked like it was. The restaurant was spotless, and the toilet was as well. The AC was strong which was appreciated. Artwork on the walls was not our style but must have been from a local artist. Ceiling fixtures were similar to what my parent's had in the late 60's. Jessica was our server and she was professional and positive in her attitude. Could not have asked for anything more. Decided to order a turkey club on rye bread ($15) with fries which were included and share it. Some of the reviews addressed how large their portions were and photos confirmed it. Jessica brought out the sandwich which was split in the kitchen with an ample amount of fries on each plate. The fries were delicious. Obviously freshly made and not sitting around, they were crisp without being overcooked. The turkey was described as fresh roasted sliced turkey and it sure was. Bacon was plentiful and crispy along with fresh lettuce and tomato. Mayo served on the side as requested. The sandwich was so large that I was only able to eat a half of my half, taking the rest home for the following day. Ordered a corn muffin and chocolate chip muffin to take home and each was fresh and delicious. ($5-$6) Howley's certainly warrants a visit if you are in the area and not seeking a trendy looking place which exists all over West Palm where the food may not be as good but the vibe is what is being sold with mediocre food. There was an on-site manager who visited our table to make sure all was good. I neglected to ask her name and apologize - she was welcoming and clearly on top of her managerial duties. Would I return? Sure would. And endorse fellow helpers to check them out.
