Surf city squeeze great place to get a smoothie. We've been going there for a few years. They're plenty of smoothies to try my favorite strawberry banana. My sons is strawberry, banana, blueberry, and so far so you can add protein you can add different powders to your smoothie. However, recently, I traveled to the mall in El Cajon and noticed that the Walmart had closed down. With that being said, obviously foot traffic is going to be gone. Who knows what kind of business will come after that will replace the amount of people going to surf city. it would be a shame to lose a business like this one. Definitely try and make your way into the mall just at least for the smoothies so we can continue having them I'm going around. It would be a shame to lose them. read more

super unprofessional and rude, this was my favorite smoothie place for years and that quickly changed with one visit. I ordered a new drink just because I always get the same one, and realized quickly I want the other drink (I didn't even finish it so it's not like I was trying to get a free drink), I said politely that I changed my mind and asked for a different drink and Dunya made me explain myself, took it personally, looked behind to her friend that had nothing to do with this situation as if I said anything rude, and said "the drink is good but ok". Immediately an unpleasant experience, PLEASE stop letting people like this be managers! in the same mall at a different drink place i had the same request and an employee just did it, no back and forth, if you're spending ur money on something and you simply don't like it request something else, you're not wasting 1000 ingredients and certainly not degrading the person making ur drink or the drink itself. read more

The staff is a bunch of bratty teenaged girls who don't want to work a second past closing. I came in at 5:50 on a Sunday (they close at 6) there is 1 person waiting for a drink and one of the girls told me "sorry we're closed" i said "you close at 6" she pretended to check the time then said "well we have to take out the trash and stuff" I've been a barista myself and we took orders up until the second we closed and we can still take the trash out in 2 minutes or less. It doesn't take 10 minutes to take out the trash. The world won't end if these brats stay 2 seconds over time and make 1 more drink. I drove all the way from Alpine to get my drink on time, there were 4 girls on the floor, you're telling me someone can't make 1 drink 10 minutes before closing because you have to "take out the trash and stuff?" Fucking brats will never make it in the real world, good luck ever promoting from making smoothies. read more

The storefront is fun and exciting, and it's been at this mall since I can remember which is less than I can say for all the other food/drink stores at that entrance to the mall. To be fair I don't buy this a lot. I usually grab a sample and keep walking. But the samples slap. It's a great product that has a delicious well rounded flavor I can't replicate at home. read more

Located inside the Parkway Plaza Mall right across from Walmart, this little place is serving up some delicious smoothies. I was in the Holiday spirit so I ordered the Pumpkin Pie Smoothie. It was a good smoothie and definitely tasted of pumpkin and spice. I don't think actual fresh or canned pumpkin is used in the making of this smoothie, but it still tasted good. It was well blended and offered a smooth a creamy texture with a bit of a brain freeze as well. They added a garnish of a Christmas spice blend right on top of the whipped cream which was a nice touch. All the young ladies working at the Squeeze were all in high spirits and friendly. When we first arrived, the line was quite long as it was early and this smoothie shop was one of the few that were actually open. We were surprised that the line moved quickly and we didn't even have enough time to figure what we wanted before we were at the front. The customer service was exceptional, the woman who took out order was very helpful and gave sugestions. She even offered to customize it to our liking, we waited less than five minutes and our order was ready. The smoothie is a bit thick at first, so we had trouble with the straw. It was pretty crowded which gave me the opportunity to review their large beverage lineup. They also had a whiteboard with vegetable (Kale) forward smoothies. My go-tos are: Power Pump Peach Mango Strawberry Banana Mango Banana The smoothies are super smooth and creamy. They might be a bit sweet for some people but I prefer my smoothies sweet so I love it! Anytime I stop by the mall I usually come by here. The smoothies are really good, some are a little too sweet though. I don't know what they add but sometimes it tastes like it's just sugar. They are always up for friendly conversation (when they aren't too busy). My absolutely favorite smoothie is the popeye but I have yet to try one I didn't like. Been a fan of Pineapple Peach for years, but love the new fruit & veggie blends, especially the Popeye: spinach, kale, shredded carrots, bananas, orange, pineapple. I like to sub peach for oranges, so it's cool that they are accommodating. Although they won't go easy on the ice because they have strict proportion guidelines when preparing smoothies. The creamy non-dairy base is addictive. Just wish they'd give a little more information about the ingredients. They will only tell me that it contains soy & is sweetened. Also, they claim to use half the regular amount for the veggie blend smoothies. I feel like a lot of their smoothies taste the same. Which is fine, I suppose, since I haven't been able to recreate them. Just wondering how potent that blending base is. Overpowers a lot of flavors and can be a little heavy. Very tasty and refreshing overall. Plus, I like to think I'm doing my body a little good by adding the veggies. I drive to this mall all the way from my coastal community simply for the smoothies...Yes I know there is a Surf City Squeeze in the Plaza Bonita shopping mall but it doesn't even compare flavor wise or customer service wise...I wish the Mission Valley location had never closed down...This place is just as good...Just a little more out of the way...But totally worth the drive! The staff is awesome and super efficient....I always go for the Stripper Squeeze or the Queens Delight...Then do some major shopping in the mall to work off those calories...It is all about balance right?!
