Contacted Sure Lock and Key when I lost my key fob at work on Wednesday November 19th so they ordered the replacement key and told me that they will contact me when they put the order in. They told me they would contact me to let me know that they ordered the key but they never did. They told me that it would take 2-5 days for the key to arrive and stated it should come Sunday Nov 23rd. It didn't come Sunday and still no communication from the company. I called Sunday and they told me the key should come Monday. I called Monday and was told it should come Tuesday. I called Tuesday and they told me it should come Wednesday. I don't know if this is a trend or bad luck but in situations like this I would hope companies would reach out to customers to inform them. Hopefully the company reads this and works on the communication between the customer. Please do better. read more

Called for estimate to add lock to indoor credenza. First call with answering service LM, second call from same answering service saying tech couldn't get thru to me so he would connect me to him. He does this and tech mailbox is not set up. Third call Tech who didn't listen or receive my two immediate sent text to him of the indoor furniture. He then quotes me $189 for outdoor door lock! He also says he didn't receive my two text. Terrible communication, told him no thanks. I never mentioned an outside door. Today received a call from somebody wanting to connect me to Tech again. I hate leaving bad reviews but I'm trying to save people from the horrible experience I had. Please do not use this company. My key worked but my fob broke so it was jenky. I called to fix that. I ended up having my whole dash taken apart and he said exactly "this is a waste of time" and left my car like that and my prior working key was bent. Me and my sister called 9x over a 24 hour period without me having a working car to get this addressed. Corey sent someone. They needed another part to fix the prior guys damage. Another 24 hours without a car. Eli was the tech. He was nice. It worked but the ingnition still didn't turn right. I took it to Honda and the new issue was the key they made. Report attached. So this whole thing without a car. Money for Ubers and the key was bad. I've yet to receive a response from Corey and Sure Lock Key and am pending attorney involvement. Please don't use. read more

I can't help but laugh. We call numerous locksmiths to see how they orchestrate and scam people. This one was definitely a scam. The kid called me and said he couldn't give a quote because he had to see "what kind of locks I have" on my Tacoma. Shows up, air jacked the door and pulled the handle from inside. $210. NOTHING to do with the locks. Anybody with a Tacoma, in Arizona, should never pay more than $125-135. (within a reasonable distance) J and J locksmiths quoted $115. read more

On Sunday I had Sure Lock & Key help my friend with her car. She needed 2 car doors rekeyed. We were quoted $850 but settled on $700. He starts on the passenger side instead of the most important side first. Then, after he tore down the passenger door, he worked on the driver side. Two hours into the job, he said his manager said he is taking too long. His solution was to finish the driver side, disconnect the locking mechanism on the passenger side, and charge $500. He also received a generous tip for his time. Oh, and when he was finished, we noticed two parts on the ground and asked if those were for the door, and he said those weren't important and she didn't need them. If parts came out, parts should go back in! I don't understand. The next morning, my friend realized she could pull on the passenger door handle and open it with ease! It would no longer lock at al! To make matters worse, the driver side door WON'T OPEN! I immediately called the technician, and he said he would fix it and call her. She never heard from him. Since then, every time i dial that same number, it automatically forwards to the office. I relayed my concerns, and they assured me they would handle it and call us back. I have spoken with them 9 other times between yesterday and today, along with my friend calling with no resolution. I did get empty promises that a supervisor or the technician or the in-house mechanic would call us back, but nothing! Not one call back. My friend did get a call from the technician stating she would have to have a mechanic look at it, but the mechanic hasn't called. We are frustrated! We tried to fix a problem to keep her property safe but instead she is more exposed with a door that won't lock! When a company says they will call, they should, regardless if there is no new information. I felt ignored and that our business wasn't worth the effort to fix even though $500 was given for a service that wasn't finished! read more

It was a Friday afternoon and after a long day with grocery shopping 3 of us were locked outdoors, out of our apartment with a lock that would not open and a key broken inside it. It was over 100 degrees. We called Sure Lock and Key. They showed up 45 minutes late and not answering their phone. The woman, proceeded to try to unlock or get the key out with a hand tool, which even I knew would not work. She then got a drill out and informed us that it was $150 to try the hand tool (for all of 5 minutes) and an extra $189 to use the drill. It was very hot outside, and our frozen food and meat was going bad. We felt we had no choice She added a $30 service fee for a total of $369 for thirty minutes work. When we finished we proceeded inside out of the heat as she bullied us saying she needed to be paid right now and we could not go inside or sit down . She did not repair the lock for that fee. What a horrible business and person. Never call secure lock for help. read more
