A Seriously Unethical and Unprofessional Experience with H&S Locksmith Working with H&S Locksmith--specifically Philip the owner--was one of the most disappointing and frustrating service experiences I've had which compels me to warn others. What began as a simple request to replace two screen door locks on March 10, 2025, stretched into an outrageous 49-day ordeal, only being completed on April 28, 2025. I was repeatedly told he was trying to locate the right lock cylinders, but at this point, I'm left questioning whether that was ever true or simply a cover for inexcusable delays. With over 600 glowing reviews on Thumbtack, I expected competence and professionalism. What I encountered instead was disorganization, lack of basic communication, and behavior that borders on unethical. Since the locks were finally installed, the interior handles have malfunctioned--locking from the inside and creating a genuine safety risk. I paid $550 for this project in good faith, expecting not only a competent installation and functional results but also some level of responsibility and post-service support/warranty. Since installation, I've made multiple attempts to reach out--calls, text messaging, and follow-ups over the past 5 days--only to be completely ignored and not acknowledged. This kind of disregard after full payment has been received speaks volumes about the company's priorities. It seems he has decided his obligation is over. That's not just poor service--it's unprofessional and deeply unethical. There has been zero post-installation support, no acknowledgment of my concerns, no accountability, no warranty support and no sense of responsibility from H&S Locksmith. There has been no attempt to make things right. This business demonstrated no integrity throughout this process. I strongly urge others to think twice before hiring this company. HIRE THEM!! Seriously, don't try to do it yourself. I know what you're thinking, you can just figure out how to pick the lock. I thought the same after my toddler played with the locks on our interior doors before shutting them. I too watched all the YouTube videos, found some tools, and convinced myself I'd save some money by doing it myself. Instead we ended up with a broken door handle, pretty decent injury, and still needed a locksmith to get the door open. We spent more money on treating the injury than if we would have just called Phillip and his team to begin with. Called h$s locksmith for a estimate to rekey a 1995 Buick century, need the ignition key and door key, no fob no chip, no security system on my car, simple basic keys,the person told me it would be between $400 to $600 for him to get the job done, I knew he was scamming me,I've done a little lock work myself,so I called the dealer,and they said it would be around $38 to do the job, ,so people don't be scammed by these locksmiths,your key code information is contained within the last 8 digits of your vin number. read more

Do not use!! I recently requested a front door lock to be changed (front handle and deadbolt) on a standard door that had a lock already. This is a pretty simple task 20-30 minutes at most. Phillip quoted us $65 dollars for the kwikset lock and dead bolt and $85 for labor. Perfectly fine paying this for the lock install. It turns out Phillip is an internet aggregator who then had someone else come by and do the work. After the estimate the guy Phillip sent then charged us $345 dollars for one lockset ! NOTE: We called Phillip to work on this issue and he said he would take care of it. He never called back to remedy the issue. I'm looking at all the 5 star reviews and find it hard to believe, I feel like I was scammed out of alot of money for a simple job. I'm willing to pay for a quality install and some profit, but come on guys $345 for a simple lock change thats a flat out ripoff. I'll be calling the Arizona Attorney Generals office for this bait and switch pricing scam. Everyone beware of H &S Locksmith for this "Bait and Switch" pricing. My garage door wouldn't open due to outlet being flooded so could not get in my house. Called H and S locksmith and asked for a quote and was told about $80.00 but technician would let me know when he got to my house. He charged me $165.00 to open my garage door by pulling handle with coat hanger about 15 minutes work. Needless to say I was upset but would not reduce the cost. Don't use this company , the quote was a lie. More than double the price. I am a 74 year old senior in a retirement community so will certainly spread the word in this area. read more
