Complete and utter disrespect. They cut down some large trees in my neighbors yard and decided that they could use my yard for 3 hours WITHOUT asking. Proceeded to destroy property, patches of grass, and other landscaping. Out of respect to my neighbor, I decided to not call the police and deal with him directly. I was given the owners name, Temis, and was told he would be calling. I am not sure if he even apologized for what went on. He thought it was out of line to ask for compensation and basically told me how I should be reacting to the situation. So destroying property is ok? It's my fault my lawn is there? Complete jerk. When our 100 year old stone pine died this summer, my wife and I were faced with a tough situation. The tree was enormous - I'm guessing 60 feet tall, 18 feet around the base, with limbs the size of ordinary tree trunks. And this wasn't in a forest somewhere. It was right next to our house (not to mention a neighbor's house). It also shaded a 20 foot schefflaria I planted years ago and wanted to save. We got bids from five contractors. After I talked to them all and checked out their licenses and work, we decided to go with Supreme. The price wasn't out of the ballpark, but it also wasn't the cheapest. So why did we pick them? First of all, the boss, Temis Gonzalez, was involved personally. And he simply knew more than the other people I talked to. He knew trees (he's an arborist as well as a former climber), and he'd done big jobs before. He was also the only one I spoke to who believed he could save the schefflaria -- and he was right. Temis knew the things that can go wrong. He put down plywood to protect an adjacent patio from falling sap. He tied up the schefflaria, laid down a bed of branches to help catch trunk slices as they came down, and created a log barrier to protect the studio from the larger slices before they were taken off. As for the crew, this was not a couple inexperienced helpers, it was a half dozen guys who knew exactly what they were supposed to do and did it. The job took a day and a half, and when they were done, they left the place immaculate. It was like the tree had never been there. A few years ago, when my neighbor across the street took out a tree like this one, it took a week. I thought they'd never finish. I don't ordinarily do reviews, but I can't say enough about these guys. They are professionals. read more

Supreme started tree removal in July 2023 and cut trees down to stumps. There were supposed to grind down all stumps. They did not show up a few days later, but called to reschedule. After a couple of hours late, one person arrived and removed most of the stumps, cleaned up well,, and told me that they would have to return with a smaller grinder to remove the final stumps by the wall. No one has ever come, and I have to call them several times a week for the past month. Marlene kept telling me she would check and get back to me "in ten minutes." She never did. I keep asking to speak with Temis, but he has never returned my calls. It's been over a month and they never return my calls. The stumps they were supposed to grind down are now growing new shoots. I didn't hire Supreme, but based on an interaction with them, I never would. When servicing my neighbors they pulled up in front of my house, ironically taking a branch off of my tree. Used these folks several years ago and to cut down a large tree and they service was acceptable. I can't even be bothered with sharing a full story right now, but I can assure that the poor Yelp ratings are accurate. They are unreliable and do not keep schedule appointments. Luckily for me I double booked with other tree service providers so I wouldn't waste my days waiting for their arrival. They do not return phone calls and I have zero patience for BS. Very prompt and professional from quote through to end of project. I had 2 very large trees near our house that needed to be removed. I called. Estimator came by same day. Next day a crew of 6 showed up, dressed in uniforms, and wearing masks! They were prepared and brought 3 trucks: one for wood chipper, one to reach tops of large trees and one to hold the tree cuttings for disposal. Their employees had a hierarchy from those doing heavy lifting, to arborists, to supervisor and to "Patron" - very efficient and effective. They showed respect for one another. They were all nice and worked extremely hard, cleaned everything up and finished the job within hours. I would have given them 5 stars but decided upon 4 as they are a bit pricey. They were happy to take my 10% deposit and schedule the service. I stayed home from work to meet them and let them know what we wanted. No one showed up. I double checked the contract we signed for the date and time, and I had it right. I emailed them and got no response for several days, at which point they offered no explanation and accused me of having a "communication error." We rescheduled and I again stayed home from work. We called this company based on a great review from a friend. Temis, the arborist, was fantastic. He was on time and gave us a no-nonsense assessment of two trees that needed help. His pricing was very fair so we decided to go with his company for our tree services. The reason I am only giving the company 4 stars is due to the tardiness of the work crew. They were supposed to arrive between 7 and 8 am. I contacted Temis when they didn't show and he told me they would be there by 11am. I happened to be working from home that day, but for any other given workday, this would have been problematic and likely having to be re-scheduled. I wrote the very first very positive review found here in 2015. I was one of Supreme's first customers and stayed with them for years as they grew and their prices increased. At one point their prices went up too high to be competitive for me. I have since replaced Supreme with another very competent, competitively priced and agreeable service. Several days ago the company representative called and asked if I would like to give them an opportunity to give me an estimate. I agreed and set an appointment. When they did not show up on time I called the office. The representative told me she would check it out and call me back. In a minute Timis called and said he didn't know the point of coming over to give me an estimate, as the last time I found their price too high, so what would be the point. And, anyway the price would be double now. I could not believe the arrogance. I reminded Timis his office called me to solicit my business. Horrible, the 2 men that showed up did not speak English and were unable to communicate with us. They cut the tree as they wanted and when pressed about it or asked to cut more off limbs against the house and over the pool, they refused and called their boss. He told us we would have to pay $50.00 more to cut off the little more we wanted. The cleanup was very poor. We actually had the neighbor from across the street cut the little extra off. (Now the crazy part!) The owner never showed up to collect the cash! I decided to post this because a person did show up at our house almost a year later, claiming that they had sent several bills which I swear we never got. We checked the credentials of the person at our door and wrote them a check. Since them they have actually called to trim our tree again, HAH! read more

Temis showed up quickly the same day about 30 minutes after my initial call. I was surprised because I had called about 10 companies and heard back from just a few to make appointments later in the week for just an estimate. I had five 20 ft Paperbark trees that had very invasive roots to be removed. We negotiated a fair price and Hernan showed up with his 3 man crew about an hour later. In about two hours, they had all five trees cut down. Another huge crew with about 8 guys showed up a few hours later to cut out and remove the stumps and roots. They were very thorough and cut out roots that were 4 to 5 feet from the base of the tree as Temis had promised. It was a messy business with paperbark flying all over, but they cleaned up the same night. They even came back the next morning to do a better clean up and fix a few irrigation lines that had been entangled in the roots. I couldn't be more happy with their service. Everyone was professional and treated me respectfully including Temis, Ellie in the office, and Hernan who ran the jobs.
