I have two Queen Palms on the patio of my condo that I needed trimmed. I suspect that the fronds hanging over the roof have been sweeping the rooftop gravel onto my patio which has been driving me nuts! I hadn't maintained these trees in the two years I've lived here and figured it was time. I called around for some quotes and Steve's was the only reasonable one. I would give 5 stars but the communication in the beginning was a little off. When he sent a guy to come look at my trees (same day I called), they called me 3 times and texted that if I give the go ahead right then, they'd trim them for $95. However, I was at work unable to pick up the call and they had already left when I called back. So, we scheduled for Saturday and he upped the quote to $100 to have to drive back. I thought that was a little silly, considering I wasn't looking for same day service. He showed up on time, did a wonderful job, answered my questions and went above and beyond for me, cleaning my whole patio up from the gravel mess. They look wonderful and now I don't have to worry about how icky they look- my neighbors are also probably relieved to not have to look at dead trees :) I will be using AAA's services for maintenance and possibly future landscaping. read more

I have never, ever left a negative review. But if I could give zero stars, I would. It started out fine. Contacted through Yelp, called on the phone, left a message. A nice guy called back and took my information, but couldn't really give me any details on services available (he said he just collected the leads and that the project manager would call me back). Same day, Robert calls me back, comes to our home, and quotes me on what I'm looking for -- four small palm trees, one small dead tree, and two hibiscus bushes removed. Says his guys can come back the next morning, Thursday, at 7:30 AM to handle the work. It's early, especially with a baby and a full-time job, but I'm excited to get this done. 7:30 Thursday rolls around, then 8:30, then 9:30. I give Robert a call wondering where the guys are, and his voice mail box is full. He calls back quickly, no big deal, and apologizes and mentions a morning emergency, then promises the guys will be there between 4 and 5 PM to handle the job. 4 PM passed by, 5, 6, 7, and it's clear they're not coming. Friday morning I call Robert back. He apologizes again. Promises, again, that his guys will be there by 5 PM and will handle the work. Says I don't even have to be home and that he'll call back later for the check payment. This is great, because I already spent all day on Thursday waiting for them. I returned home at 8 PM on Friday evening, and surprise surprise, no one had been there. It's now been over 48 hours since my original appointment. It's been almost 24 hours since I was last promised service. AAA, even if you do call me back, at this point, I'm uninterested in supporting your business. It's a shame. You not only lost a customer by treating me very, very poorly, but you also jerked around a working mother who adjusted her entire schedule around you, twice. Rude. read more

HONEST! Steve is first and foremost HONEST. I am still in a little shock about how fantastic Steve and his crew were. If you don't call him - you are doing yourself a disservice. I called Steve on Saturday to get a quote, he was at our house 30 minutes later. He called Sunday to see if Monday would work. Then, bright and early...Monday his crew is at my door ready to go. They were completed by lunchtime and the work was impeccable. The crew was timely, courteous, friendly, incredibly hardworking and you can't beat the price --nor the honesty factor (I'll get to that.) Two of the trees that were removed, we opted to have them cut the stump at the ground level instead of grinding it -- which they did perfectly. One of the trees that was removed needed to be pulled out by hand. This crew had that 'beast of a root ball' pulled up and out of the hill within just a few hours-- and due to the slope, they cut it, dug it and pulled it all out by hand. One of our trees is on death's door -- branches are dead and the tree is seriously on life support. But with Steve's direction, this tree is most likely going to bounce back this spring. Seriously if his expertise doesn't do it...nothing could. Lastly, Steve is 100% an honest man (such a great quality). I had misunderstood the initial quote by $100 in his favor and when I went to pay him, he told me so. He has a customer and referral for life. We hired Steve to remove a large tree in our backyard. After getting in touch with him, he came out the next morning (on a Sunday) to give us a quote. This is after getting a referral from a friend whose guy was late to an appointment with us after I rearranged my schedule to meet with him. When we met with Steve, we immediately got a good vibe that he knew what he was doing. It helped that he owns OC Sprinkler so if there was an issue with removing the roots of the tree, he would fix it. Pricing was as we expected - fair and reasonable. I contacted AAA Tree care after I had a poor experience trying to get another tree contractor to do the work. The very next day after calling them to get a quote, Robert showed up in the morning and we walked around my property as I showed him what needed to be done, six trees cut down with stumps grinded down and 1 avocado tree trimmed back. Robert gave me a quote right there on the spot which was very reasonable and I agreed to have him do the work. He said he would be here by 7:30am on Nov 6th. The 6th rolls around and Robert and his crew were here at 7:20am SHARP. Immediately they go to work. During the entire time, the workers were diligent in thier work, puntual, respectful and were constantly working hard. Robert, who I assume is thier coordinator/supervisor would drop in from time to time to make sure things were going smoothly and answered any questions or concerns I had. I asked the workers if they could set aside some of the chopped up logs so I could make some backyard benches and they happily did so. They even pulled some logs out for my neighbor and carried them over to her house when she asked for some also, that was really nice of them. After the work, they cleaned up everything. All the branches, leaves, including ones that were there before they came, were cleaned up to a T. They made sure they cleaned up all the branches and leaves that fell on my next door neighbors property as well. Within a day, Im already getting compliments about how much more open and cleaner my backyard and front yard look with the trees removed. This was professional, outstanding work and I am very happy to have chosen AAA Tree care. Steve then called the next day wanting to come out and see the tree, a palm, for himself before giving an estimate. Steve came out and gave me a price which seemed fair so I told him I was good and asked when could he come out. Steve said he would call me back and schedule a time. Steve had also apparently dropped his phone in his coffee and spilled in his new truck. There were several opportunities where he could have "upsold", but instead recommended servicing and replacement of parts that was much less expensive than replacing an entire unit and system. Called Steve for a quote to remove 4 ficus tree stomp on a slope in my backyard. Steve and his guys came out the very next morning and had all of them removed by digging them out after a couple hours. Excellent job and very reasonable price. I highly recommend their service. I used another company few months ago to remove other trees and I even had to call that crew to back to fix the sprinklers they broke and clean the mess they created.
