They also use this "appraiser" as an inspector to judge work done. Shady business practices, at best. We have done all repairs listed on the "Escrow Holdback Agreement" but NOW Shannon is demanding more repairs not listed. Supreme Lending and Shannon are now holding our excess funds (+$8000.00) hostage. Not to mention, the foundation repair company still has not been paid for their services rendered. A full 3 weeks post work. All paperwork signed on our side. $17,000.00+ is owed to this company. We know even "when" we complete their latest demands, we will NEVER see our monies. Supreme Lending and Shannon Lasater have a great scam going. They will lend you money but won't ACTUALLY release those funds to you. They will add barriers and do all they can to keep your money. Jason Lewis and Dana McGrath have an accountability problem. They demonstrated no urgency throughout the funding process. Their poor communication, lack of follow-through and inability to appropriately manage documentation led to severe delays in the timeline of our home purchase. As part of my decision to select Supreme Lending for my servicing needs, I asked that my loan not be transferred to another company. In fact, I essentially stated that to gain my business this had to be agreed to. During the process, I was promised by numerous people this would not occur. In fact, it was approved by John McClellan via email. 1 year later, my loan has been transferred to another company. After requesting to speak with John, I was given an office phone number. So, I found his cell phone number online and called him. The conversation went poorly and, in my opinion, there was a general lack of compassion and accountability from him. Basically, it was explained that what happened (read: error in transferring my loan) occurred outside of his department - even though the lead from that department also promised my loan would not be transferred - so there was nothing he could do about it. Additionally, during my home search process, my credit score was erroneously checked because my lendor had to transfer my information to a new system. This resulted in my credit score unnecessarily dropping as I approached the time to lock in a rate. Lastly, after my contract with the Seller had been finalized and the processes kicked off (background checks, document gathering, appraisals, etc.), it felt like I was hand holding individuals to the finish line. From my perspective, there were numerous tiny errors (mathematical, communication gaps) resulting in me being more hands on than I should have been. If you would like your loan to remain with the company you are working with, I suggest you do one of two things: 1. Don't use Supreme Lending 2. Get this agreement in writing and placed within the Mortgage Note My overall experience was rather poor and I would not recommend them. read more

Gross incompetence, unethical (if not illegal) disclosure of private financial data, and wasted months and money. This sums up my experience with Supreme Lending when I made the mistake of contacting Chandra Carthae for a simple refinance. She talked a good game but ended up being wrong about practically everything she told me. Early on she said that an appraisal should not be needed. This was not true. In fact, I caught and prevented Supreme Lending from overcharging me $200 when I was required to pay for an appraisal. Then Supreme Lending negligently emailed our sensitive financial data to a former client - not just a stranger but one of our neighbors! After spending hours and hours of my time and effort composing and compiling documentation, there was no visible progress from Supreme Lending week after week after week. I was given four, different closing dates - none of which came to pass. After each failed commitment, I was given a different, suspect explanation of some issue not previously disclosed. Finally, I left a voice message for Regional Manager John McClellan when at my wit's end and no one at Supreme Lending would return my calls or emails. He did not have the decency or professionalism to respond to a customer desperate for communication. Two and half months later and $585 spent, I have nothing to show for it after Supreme Lending was unable to obtain loan approval for my specific condo building - the very first commitment that Supreme Lending made to me before I even applied for refinancing. Every step of the way Supreme Lending failed. My better nature chooses to believe, however, that Supreme Lending is simply grossly incompetent instead of grossly dishonest. read more

My wife and I worked with Andrea Keith for our FHA home loan. I will attempt to document our experience as objectively as possible. The Good: Andrea Keith is stunningly effective at her job. Whether it's her knowledge of the system, or just willingness to go the extra mile for every client, we were shocked at the options she was able to make available to us for our first home loan. We had contacted and provided information to several other lenders before trying Andrea, and none of them came even remotely close to the loan she was able to get approved for us. So in that sense, we were overjoyed with Andrea. The Bad: Andrea left something to be desired for us in terms of approachability and availability. This was our first home, and before that all we knew was apartment leases. So, our knowledge of the ins and outs of the home buying process was sadly lacking. Adding to our intimidation was the fact that it was often times difficult to get a hold of Andrea by phone. Email seemed to be a little better, and we would get responses within a day or two. Andrea rarely answered the phone if my wife or I called, but mysteriously our real estate agent would get an answer every single time. Maybe that's partly on us for having so many questions, but for the amount of money that Supreme Lending will walk away with once our house is paid off, one would imagine that their lenders could be a little more patient and understanding. All in all, I would say that we're pleased that we were able to get a loan with Supreme Lending, as they managed to secure terms more favorable than any other company we worked with. Despite the lack of some soft skills, I believe I would look at Supreme Lending for another loan in the future, but it wouldn't be my sole go-to. read more

I'm not the type to normally go and write reviews however in this instance I think it would be beneficial to others. I actually have heard great things about Supreme Lending. I was a first time home buyer and I was extremely nervous about finding a fair company with good lines of communication. My most important goal was to take advantage of interest rates before they went up. After a weird start, I made contact with one of their agents. I made sure to stay in close contact with him throughout the process. He did great at getting monthly quotes for each property we were looking at and returned my calls in a reasonable amount of time. When I finally found the house I wanted, I received my letter of approval extremely fast so that I could make an offer. The problem was that my payment was significantly different then what I was quoted when the final numbers came around. I can give credit where credit is due because they made up for it and worked with me to get it close to what I was quoted. My only issue was that I wasn't able to get a one time drop on my interest rate like I was told on paper I would be. And the reason was because the deal would be too good for me. While I realize I was done a favor, it was not I who messed up and the interest rate will stay on the life of the loan unless you refinance through them or someone else. Perhaps I want to have my cake and eat it too. But I stuck with them because I didn't want to lose the house over their mistake despite my frustration. I will most likely refinance through someone else. My advice though if you're reading this is to get your quotes in writing and keep your emails. They weren't bad but I'm not %100 pleased with having a higher interest rate then I feel I should or at how it all played out. read more

While I had a great experience with their Loan Officer, Supreme Lending was a complete disaster in terms of helping us get our loan approved. We were clear to close and at the 11th hour they decide that there was a technicality issue with the property we were buying and decided not to approve our loan the day of closing. Needless to say thank God the seller was understanding and we moved our already filed paperwork somewhere else and they approved the loan with no problem. I do not recommend Supreme Lending at all and I will always take my business elsewhere. I hope my Realtor really follows through and stops sending business to them. read more

Supreme Lending and more specifically Wendy Dabrusin are awesome. Closed on time with no hassle, were on time and under budget as they say. My wife and I struggled bad and needed to move. We were originally in Illinois and It was our dream to move to Austin for years and thought we needed a couple more years to make it happen. Then a crisis struck and we had to move from the home we rented from family and were given only a couple of months time. We have too many pets to rent and thought: "if we can buy -which is a long shot, why not try to get down to Austin now?" and the dream started to materialize in our minds. It is unfortunate to see that others have had issues with Supreme Lending. I can whole heatedly recommend Josh Flores at Supreme Lending. In fact he is the only reason my loan ended up on track and was ultimately approved I found Josh through my realtor (check my other reviews for her review, Yelp rules). Josh saved the day at the last minute after the other loan guy nearly killed my home deal (again see my other reviews). There was an issue with my tax transcripts matching due to complete boneheaded, but logically traceable, errors on my part. Josh had no problem manually reviewing my loan and getting it approved based on all of my other information. If it were not for Josh's expertise in navigating the new loan minefields I would have lost the home and many thousands of dollars. Also, there was not a single person on Josh's team that I came into contact w/ that was not fantastic! I wish I could remember all of their names and give each one props here, but there were numerous people and I was so stressed I could not see straight at the time. She was always available to any questions irrespective how silly it would be. She has a brilliant and very patient team working with her. She was always straight forward. My experience with Supreme Lending was satisfactory, but I must warn anyone using this lender that they may sell your loan to CENLAR. While you'll be working with Supreme for the month or so before your closing, you could potentially be working with CENLAR for the next 30 years. You don't need to do more than a quick Google search to figure out whether or not it's worth the risk. Unfortunately, I've become just another horror story result of that company. I'd recommend anyone seeking a loan to ask their lender whether or not they currently sell their loans to this company and highly advise you stay away from them. It may be unfair to Supreme Lending to put this on them, but as a consumer you have every right to make an informed decision, and this is very much a reality of lending. read more

We closed on a house today 30 July! Like anything financial, lenders are sometimes hard to deal with. This is not the case with Supreme Lending. They called me regularly and updated me as things happened. The numbers they originally gave us actually turned out much better after closing ($1000 plus back in our pockets). If I asked a questions, Andrea answered it or found the answer. I have very high expectations for most things, and Supreme Lending worked to make things happen. They extended our percent hold date and got the builder to pay the cost. They offered 2k towards closing costs and then offered another $500 to pay for more points on the loan to keep us under 4% (locked in to 3.75%). We are both full time workers that have perfect credit, so they may have had a pretty easy job dealing with us. I also provide things immediately because we wanted things to get rolling. I have a feeling that some of the negative reviews may be from people with sub par credit or they may not have disclosed everything to the lender. We had absolutely no problems working with them. Professional and polite... use them for your lending needs. read more

We were under a limited time frame as well as had a unique situation and not only were they able to help us when other companies were not able to, but they got us a lower interest rate then the other companies as well. Several members of Jason's team worked long hours to ensure our closing would happen before the holidays, even up to Christmas eve. Someone even went in on Christmas eve to transfer our funds so that we could move before Christmas. No other company even compares to them. I noticed that I only have complaints on my Yelp. Well, to change this I am going to write a review about Supreme Lending and Blair Hogue. We sold a house in CA and began a 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange to bring the equity to Texas. There is a strict 180 day time line to finalize the disposal of the equity. With the goal to diversify the equity, we identified six properties. This meant we had to close one loan per month for 6 months. I underestimated the complexity of this as opposed to only exchanging for one property. I went into Supreme Lending with no appointment and met Blair. Since I had already placed 2 of the 6 loans, I knew I needed help with the rest. Blair was the reason we succeeded instead of failed. Due to Supreme policies, he could not push more than one loan at a time through the pipeline at Supreme but he found other agents to take two of the escrows and even guided the people to stay on track. I've closed millions of dollars in all kinds of real estate lending scenarios and I have never been this impressed with a mortgage broker or company. I see that other agents at Supreme are doing well and I say, "keep up the good work". read more

We were extremely disappointed with Supreme Lending closing on our home. We locked in a rate with buy down points for the mortgage payment we could live with for 30 years. The night before closing at 5 pm we were informed of a "systems error" by the secondary marketing team that we could not buy down as much points as agreed resulting in our payment being higher by $150 dollars over 30 years. It would have taken an additional $16,000 down to reduce the cost of the monthly mortgage. I reached out to the owner, never heard back, then found out at the closing table the next morning (after I carefully reviewed the documents) that the closing costs had been reduced. We were not given time to reapply the monies not used for the buy down points to apply to the principle by 9 am the next day. Later we got back some $2000 from another error discovered by the audit team. All in all, a terrible experience and incompetence. Do not think the rate, costs and mortgage quoted are going to be something you can trust. Everything changed at 5 pm before closing at 10 am the next day. Disgraceful. Nothing you can do as the loan is funded at closing and no opportunity to add to principal to correct the error they made as it requires an entirely new loan. It essentially added 8 years of mortgage principal payments to our loan and eradicated the amount we would have had to add to principal each month. read more

DO NOT USE SUPREME LENDING!!! I wish they could get ZERO stars. They do not follow through on what is written down on paper. One instance, my name was on the paperwork for the new house and when it got sold (which took 1 year 3 months) my name was taken off the loan. My husband's name is the only name on the paperwork. We were promised a certain percent because they goofed on our paperwork and guess what that never went through. Here is the real kicker for us; after we signed our loan and put money down we were told we would miss 2 payments before making a payment. Guess what the company LIED again. We had to pay one back to them and never got to miss our payments. We are told by the new lender oh well that is not our problem you are considered late if you don't make up that payment. I have one say THANKS Supreme for all your lies and not following through. Thanks to the big wig who never returned our phone calls. I will let all my friends, relatives and people off the street know not to use this company. They will give anybody a loan so watch out!!!!! read more
