We had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Kristin Bailey and her team at LoanPeople…read more From start to finish, they were professional, transparent, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. Buying a home can be stressful, but Kristin and her team made the entire loan process feel smooth and manageable. They worked extremely hard on our loan, followed through on everything they said they would do, and kept us informed every step of the way. What stood out most was their honesty and integrity-qualities that can be hard to find these days. Kristin truly went above and beyond to maximize our seller credits and delivered exactly what they promised. We always felt like we were in good hands and that they genuinely cared about helping us get the best outcome possible. We are so thankful for all of their hard work and dedication. I would 100% work with Kristin and her team again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a lender they can truly trust.

She quickly reached out, got me preapproved right away and was incredibly responsive to all my questions throughout the process. We placed our offer on November 22 and closed on December 19. The team was able to get my loan approved and closed in under 27 calendar days, which included weekends and the Thanksgiving holiday so really around 17 business days when you think about it! These guys definitely have their process down. That said, the origination charges (processing/underwriting) were higher than some of the other lenders and when I requested a reduction in these charges, they didn't budge and instead referenced the points buy down, which, while in the origination category, is a seperate line item than the processing/underwriting line items. A younger version of me would have pushed harder on this to save a few hundred bucks, but I chose not to but definitely getting a mention in the review though so... *shrugs* Overall though, I would definitely recommend them, and especially Amanda, due to her expertise, communication, and efficiency.

Due to a non-response, I have stopped use of this credit card and will take my business elsewhere. Basically, in May my monthly payment was processed a few weeks late and I received a late fee notification. I called, went through the menu and long hold time, verified myself 8 different ways, and was told the late payment fee was revoked since my payment was now showing. In June I sent a substantial monthly payment which was never processed. I called again, and said my July payment would be larger to cover both months. In July I sent a large payment, which again was not processed and I received a reminder to make at least a minimum payment. I called again. I was told it was not possible to discuss this in person at any branch, nor could I discuss it over the phone, due to Covid. I asked if maybe there was a skeleton staff due to the pandemic, but was told no. I asked to speak to a supervisor. He took my name and number and said it would be placed in a que and I would receive a callback sometime in 48 hours at their convenience. No callback. I was going to ask if perhaps my monthly interest could be adjusted to reflect the payments I made in good faith which were never applied to my card. I can see now that's just a waste of breath. If you are a TruWest employee and you would like to respond to my review with a patronizing feel-good canned response....don't bother. That'll just upset me more. I have taken my banking needs elsewhere. Maybe I'll check back in a year and see if things have improved, but I have better things to do than waste my time with an institution that apparently doesn't concern itself with member problems that are actually created by the banking institution itself. Good luck with that.

The latter part of this statement is untrue. As one TruWest rep who spoke with me on the phone after I paid as much as I could - admittedly I couldn't make the full payment at the time, but I was doing my best to show good faith and to get back on track - "we are in this business to make money." Sure, we know that. Why not work with quality clients and make temporary adjustments, and earn influential friends for a lifetime. Small business has no friends here. If you enjoy being treated like a child (or a criminal), then this is the place for you. They also love to talk with you on the phone (where they can record it), and not to communicate via email or in print. Caution advised. I document everything, even conversations with companies like this. Read this: https://www.truwest.org/billioninassets/. Then why ...
