Was craving fries and ended up at Superstars. Oh my goodness, I can't believe I haven't been here sooner. Such a great place for vegetarian and vegan options! Fries were exactly what I was looking for, thick cut, well seasoned and tasty. All of the bao buns were good and in different ways. They are flavorful and fresh. The cauliflower bao was my favorite hands down. I hadn't read the description of the cinnamon bites so I wasn't sure what to expect but they too are delicious. They are made from fried bao dough. Ordered ahead and picked up which was quick and easy. Definitely recommend this Westside food truck. read more

I really wanted to love this place. I am vegetarian and was so excited to be able to order anything off the menu. The fillings of the bao were covered in a really strong sauce that overpowered everything else. The bao lacked balance and all I could taste was sauce. It was a disappointment unfortunately. As a giant meat eater I wasn't overly excited to try this place with my friends - but am so happy I did. This is probably some of the best food on island. I had the tofu rice bowl, incredible. But my favorite thing was the eggplant bao. The buns were soft and pillowy and the eggplant was melt in your mouth. Don't even get me started on the slushies. The woman working the window was patient and kind and helped me be brave as I navigated the menu. read more

Found this place popped up on Yelp when i was searching Vegan nearby....I didn't really even read the reviews just figure I'd go by there and see what they have to offer..... Baos and Bowls! Interesting so I thought why not....I got two baos and an order of fries....one cauliflower and one...char siu tofu bao...they were pretty good....and I'm not sure what they did with the fries but they tasted really good!!!!! This is more like a permanent food truck location the owner was really cool and nice...definitely would come by here again my next trip! read more

YUM!....we were at the Napili Farmers market and were getting a bit peckish and spied Superstars so decided to give it a try. Boy were we glad we did. We chose 3 for $18 - 1. smoky mushroom (pickles, cucumber, chili oil and fried shallots, cilantro), 2. cauliflower (fried ginger cauli, cucumber and aioli), 3. Char sui tofu (with sriracha aioli, pickles and herbs). All were delicious but we really liked the mushroom with a mix of spicy, smoky, crunchy and cool all in one bite, mouthwatering delight :) They are all veggie and there are also drinks, dessert and sides available, such as mango slushy, iced matcha, rice n fries and cinnamon bites. Tasty!!! So many good flavors but not overwhelming or too heavy. Everything was so fresh. Very creative with the combinations. Didn't miss the meat at all. I had their matcha with kinako cream which is amazing (I tried to savor it but couldn't help but finish it)!! Was able to explore the little market while waiting for our order too. We got here for the first time! We were so happy to find this amazing food truck as they are vegetarian friendly shop! We loved the vibe they were providing and the workers (perhaps owners); May and Braden, were very nice and hard workers! We ordered quite few items since we were hungry and it was definitely a bingo experience! Love I personally loved the mushroom ‍ and chashu tofu ones! That chilly oil and fried crispy garlic definitely hit the spot! Eggplant one was also juicy and good as well! If you are around here or far, this place is a must stop place for sure, you won't be disappointed but just love it! They gave us matcha mochi at the end as well, what a great service spirit! On vacation on Maui and the vegan options are seriously limited. Just found the Superstars Vegan Food Truck today and OMG it is freaking amazing. I tried 3 different bao buns, each one was so delicious. Great flavors and so fresh. Can't say enough. Even my non vegan mom was raving about the rice bowl she got. Definitely will be back!! Was so worth it! It was on the way to kapalua beach, and every single one was great. We got the tofu, the potato, the soy, and the eggplant. The mushroom was sold out but I'm sure it would be great too. Favorites were the tofu and eggplant!! There's a few tables out by here too. read more

sooooo good! one of my favorite things about hawaii are the amazing food trucks and superstars was definitely our favorite stop during this last trip. we went back twice! highly recommend the tofu bunch, shoyu protein one, and their dessert which is like cinnamon bites with a caramel sauce. Super yummy! Service was pretty quick considering and the food was fresh. The surrounding area is like a shaded area with some trees and picnic tables so pretty casual but perfect to enjoy your bao buns there or take them down the road to enjoy seaside at Nāpili Bay! read more

Awesome vegan food. I am not a vegan or vegetarian but I frequent this food truck for it's delicious food. The menu is short and to the point. Bao buns and rice bowls. There are several topping choices, all good. The deep fried cauliflower is excellent and one of my favorite snacks to eat. The food is prepared quickly. There are several places to sit including benches and some small tables. A bit pricey for what it is but worth it. read more

The Food is so delicious, I'm here at least once a week! My favorites are the eggplant bao and the new cauliflower bao. So much flavor!! I also love the frozen latte. May, the owner is so rad and friendly and provides great customer service. She always remembers to give me chilli oil, even when I forget to ask. Shopping at the Farmers market & stumbled upon this food truck as we were leaving. Despite pouring rain, our efforts to support Lahaina Strong, we decided to grab a few Bao. Eggplant, ChaSui Tofu & Mushroom. ALL delicious in their own savory sauces & fresh ingredients served on pillowy Bao buns. Friendly service & very grateful. There were picnic tables under pine trees that offered a great canopy from the rain that stopped just as our food was ready. Timing! Always nice to be outdoors in Maui. We'll be back. read more

We stumbled upon this food truck after visiting the farmers market a few steps away. The Bao's were AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! We also had a rice bowl with Tofu and Eggplant that was yummy and excellent for lunch. The food is all vegetarian but an awesome culinary situation ... so my fellow carnivores don't let that stop you from enjoying an awesome meal here! The roast duck was really good actually. The general tsao's chicken and chicken lettuce was good, I've definitely been to other spots that were better but I don't have anything bad to say about it. What I really disliked about this place was the Seafood Bird's Nest. Initially, they thought I ordered a Seafood Delight, but my order was missing the noodles. But they basically just fried up some noodles real quick and threw it under. And that part wouldn't have been a problem for me, but it was honestly waaaay too salty (and I like really salty! so that says a lot to me) It was difficult to eat to be honest, but I of course didn't want to waste it. The seafood included 3 pieces of shrimp, about a stick of imitation crab meat, a couple small pieces of scallop, and A LOT of calamari pieces that were soooo tough to chew, we couldn't even really eat them! For the chicken lettuce, they gave us about 3 full pieces of lettuce that was cut up and then charged us $4.00 for more pieces of lettuce which is pretty pricey lol. The siu mai was mid.. but you get what you pay for. There was also a 3% additional kitchen surcharge which was weird...? Still not sure what that was for lol. And then on top of that there's another 3% charge if you use credit card, so just be aware of that. The service was fine, because there was basically no one else in the restaurant anyway. Also - my boyfriend told me they had no soap in the restroom at all which was inconvenient. Overall, the price of their food does not make sense for the level of quality. I wouldn't recommend to my peers to come here, except maybe just grab their roast duck to go.

My companion ordered the curry chicken with vegetables with her side of chow mein. The curry was ok and so was the chicken but the Bell pepper needed to be cooked a little longer. The chow mein noodles were more like spaghetti noodles with seasoning. The restaurant doors were wide open and the fans were spinning and the air conditioning was turned off. I wanted to give this place a good review as I selected the place based on existing Yelp reviews but sorry can't do it. I forgot to mention that they charged a 3% fee for the kitchen AND if you use a credit card another 3% on top of the previous subtotal. Nope. Not a repeat in the future for me

We ordered creme brulee for dessert. They brought us a complimentary lava cake like dessert for our anniversary trip. So nice!

It had a good, well-rounded taste with the tuna and salmon. This was my husband's favorite roll. If you're feeling like you need some good Asian-American sushi, check out Smash Maui!
