I had an electrical short in the upper floors of my house. Wasn't sure what the cause was but could smell something had burned. Called Supernova - they happened to be in the area and came 2 hrs later. Fixed the issue (loose wiring and defective outlet) and were on their way. We were told by HVAC repairman that we had a faulty breaker in our panel. We contacted Super Nova via yelp and were able to get a quote, set up an appointment and have the appointment within 4 hours. These guys are responsive, courteous (wore shoe covers to keep our floors clean), and honest. They told us that the wire to the breaker was not properly attached which is likely why it kept tripping. They said we probably did not need to replace it and they could fix the wire. We choose to replace the breaker anyway since it was only an extra $20 and we wanted to make sure the problem was solved. I will be calling SuperNova again when we have other electrical work. read more

These guys are the best! Got home tonight (Friday) tired from a long week, and my refrigerator and microwave were non-functional. More concerning was a faint crackling sound from the ancient looking circuit breaker box. This is not what you want heading into the weekend. I called 2 companies, but Daniel with SuperNova answered right away and said he'd try his best to show tonight, or first thing in the AM at the latest. I texted him a picture of my breaker box so he wouldn't waste a trip without having the right part. He texted back that he was on his way! 25 minutes and barely $100 later, my breaker and circuit were repaired properly and professionally, and more significantly my major appliances were back online for the weekend! I called SuperNova Electric because my ceiling fans kept tripping their dedicated breaker. On their initial visit they were unable to resolve the issue because, as luck would have it, the breaker wouldn't trip...until right when they had put everything away and were about to leave. At that point I had to make another appointment as it was late in the afternoon. Long story short - Dan and his team were able to find the source of the problem and fix it properly. It's been about 3 weeks and we have had no issues. Dan and his team are all professional, cordial and overall nice guys. As a result of a DIY mistake my electric box needed to be relocated to be in code. I sought out several electricians and Dan was the only one that explored a number of options in order to try to save me from a pricey mistake. He also noticed several other items that were wrong from previous additions to the electrical work that the other electricians missed and said he would take care of as well. I was really impressed with his professionalism along with his friendliness and asked him to also quote out a rough in wiring for my addition and finally adding in a whole house surge protector. All of this was under what others were quoting for just the relocation of the box let alone the other work I added on. Dan and his crew showed up the day they were scheduled and worked hard the entire day and well into the night. There was a hiccup when it came to the inspection and it turned out the inspector was wrong in how he was interpreting the code and Dan was able to demonstrate to the supervisor why the work met the code which the supervisor agreed with. Dan remained calm during this, communicated options with me, and assured me that the work was fine. Talking to Dan he is a master electrician and runs his small business alongside his two employees. I think he can keep his costs low because he focuses on the work and takes care of the administrative stuff at nights and on the weekends. It's disappointing to leave this review, especially after so many wonderful ones below. We called last week on Thursday to make an appointment for a short circuit on our breaker. They have come out before for something similar and we had a great experience. I spoke to Daniel on the phone who said they'd be out the next day between 3-4 pm, so my husband took the afternoon off work to wait for them. They never showed up. I sent a text message, called several times, sent an email and a message on yelp in an attempt to contact them since we had no power in our upstairs and we were entering a holiday weekend with guests coming. Their voicemail was full, so I was unable to leave a voice message. It's been 6 days and I never heard from them again. Very disappointing experience and would NOT recommend this company. read more

Fantastic Service!! Saturday night at 6:00 pm and I have a small fire in my breaker box. Yikes! My first thought was that I would never find someone to come out at that day and hour. After seeing several very positive reviews and noting that they were open until 7:00 pm on Saturday, I called Daniel at SuperNova. He said he could come within the hour and HE DID. With what he had in his truck Daniel was able to restore power to most of the house and show me what the problem was. $$$ were dancing around in my head and when Daniel charged me only $95 I was positively surprised at his more than reasonable rate. Daniel agreed to come back on Monday and replace the bus in the back of my fuse box that had been damaged by a loose breaker. Come Monday, Daniel showed up on time, with the parts, and got everything fixed, replaced and working for about 1/3 of what I was afraid I would have to pay. He even took the time to diagnose and fix a light switch problem I had for no extra charge. This is a young, hard working and honest guy who really knows his trade.
