Superkim Crab House opened its doors at the former Lot No. 3 location during the holiday season, just in time for the Snowflake Lane crowds. The signage is hidden, but you'll spot it if you walk around 106th Street, like I did, to see the lunch menu. I visited Superkim Crab House on a Sunday afternoon earlier this month. Upon walking in, there weren't a lot of diners, but at most, two tables total about 12 people within the two tables. We were greeted by Zack, who allowed us to pick where to sit. He was a very welcoming and kind server. Zack allowed us to look at the menu but provided us with some of his favorite dishes to help us narrow down what we wanted to dine on. He mentioned the clam chowder and crab croquettes as being a few of his favorite dishes, and we were very intrigued by them, so we ordered them to start with. We were not disappointed with either of the items! The crab croquette and clam chowder were so flavorful, and the crab croquette was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. For drinks, we decided to order from the mocktails menu: Lychee Lemonade, which had a strong taste of the cucumber, was an okay drink, but if you love cucumbers, you'll like it; Prickly Mint, was more my liking, as it had more of the fruity cranberry taste; and then the Mango Spritz, which my friend wasn't a big fan of the taste. In terms of food, we were thinking about the boil, but in the end, we decided on two entree dishes: The Holy Crab and the Dungeness Crab Fried Rice. The menu clearly shows three pepper icons next to The Holy Crab, and they were not kidding about the spice! It was spicy! The spiciness gradually kicked in after consuming it, but don't get me wrong, it was still a delicious dish! The Crab Fried Rice was also very flavorful, and we used that to cool down our palettes after a spoonful of The Holy Crab. The restaurant's atmosphere was pleasant. It wasn't too loud or quiet, and ample space between the tables. The bathrooms were interesting. I believe they kept the Lot No.3 bathroom layout with the industrial look, and there were gender-neutral individual bathroom stalls. There are two levels for seating, so if you choose to, you can also sit upstairs for a more private dining experience. Within about 10 minutes of us being seated at our table, Mr. Kim, the head chef, came to visit and chatted with us for a bit. He was very kind and welcoming, ensuring we enjoyed our time at his restaurant. Overall, our experience dining at Superkim Crab House was superb! Everything was terrific in terms of service and hospitality. We interacted with the great waitstaff, including Zach and Trish, who made us feel like we were chatting with friends. The food was delicious, but the price was somewhat on the high side for the portion size. However, the quality of the food was worth it. We heard that their Happy Hour menu is a good value, so I will try it out when it is available, M - F, 3PM - 6PM. TL:DR Get the crab croquette and clam chowder for sure! The Holy Crab is a very spicy dish, so get it if you like a lot of spice! The staff is friendly and helpful! Happy Hour is M - F, 3PM - 6PM. The best chowder in town! I have had it several times and just keep ordering bigger and bigger bowls of it. Audrey was my server and was awesome! Gave me a thorough idea of the options, helped me with identifying gluten free (the menu also has great symbols) and was very prompt and attentive. She is amazing! I ordered the chowder, which is my fave around. Super creamy with just the right amount of flavor and chunks. I also got the fresh rolls with shrimp for some veggies, and the texture is crunchy. You can tell a lot about a place by the peanut sauce, and theirs slaps. My boyfriend said that the thai basil wings were some of the best wings he's had. They smelled great! Can't wait to go back to try the seafood boil. If you are lucky, you will get to meet Kim himself! For drinks, we tried the espresso martini and sangria. The martini was amazing, but the sangria had a super strong star anise flavor so I ended up sending it back. Interested to try other drinks. The rumor is true! They have amazing clam chowder. It has a bit more onion and garlic profile than typical chowder I have had but it really is great. I also have to add that the bread they serve here is excellent. I am not sure if they bake their own or source locally but man! For this reason, I recommend going for the bread bowl instead of the normal cup. We also ordered the Crab Croquettes which was amazing. The lobster and crab rolls were solid as well (they could have been slightly saltier though but no major complaints). The portions weren't big since it was off the lunch menu but I thought it was decent value for under 20 dollars (especially in downtown Bellevue!). Cajun vs normal fries - we could not tell the difference much. Maybe they should put more seasoning. Our server was very nice. The venue was clean and spacious. It's where Lot#3 (RIP) used to be. I haven't checked upstairs but I hope they are using it as like a hidden secluded seating area. I always thought it would be great for groups/parties when visiting Lot#3. Definitely recommended. They do not validate parking but there is a retail parking garage available (10 dollars an hour but the first 30 minutes is free). Some street parking spots are available but I couldn't find any that were open. read more

I attended a Yelp Elite event here recently and I was excited to try their foods I kept hearing about. While at the event I bought an espresso martini and a Shocktop draft beer. The espresso martini was delicious and hit the spot! During the meal, I ordered a Shocktop draft beer that seemed fitting for the food I was enjoying. I really found this SuperKim restaurant to be a good place with great staff! I didn't realize this restaurant location was next to the shuttered Purple Cafe which is sad as I've eaten there before and didn't realize it had closed. I hope the addition of SuperKim will reinvigorate this area of Bellevue and spark more businesses to open. read more

I called in an order of cod fish tacos and some peanut wings to go. When I arrived, I waited a few minutes before someone was around to flag down to get the food. I tried the fish tacos within a minute or two, and they were okay. Didn't have a lot of flavor, fish wasnt that crispy but it was meaty and the size was good. Wings were a good portion size, but I wasn't a fan of the sauce and the chicken was a bit dry. I am curious about the other seafood options though and hope to try it in a group one day since I read such good reviews about it. read more

This place was conveniently located across from my hotel. I was intrigued by the sign outside and the title of "Best wings in town." I had filled up on seafood from visiting Pikes Place market earlier in the day and wasn't in the mood for more seafood. The decor is nautical which is fitting. We ordered the crab Parmesan fries, calamari, and chicken wings. Bryson was our waiter and was fantastic. Unfortunately, the chicken wings were the saltiest I have ever had. I love Thai chili flavor but these wings missed the mark tremendously. Paying $19 dollars for 8 wings, I was determined to get it right. I discussed my concerns with Bryson and he recommended the Tom Yum flavor which he described as being sweeter. I couldn't eat that either due to the salt and over powering flavor. It was too much. Respectfully, I am confused on how they label themselves as the best wings in town. It is disappointing that I was still charged full price and left 7 out of 8 wings on the plate. The Best Seafood Experience in Seattle! I visited this place on Friday, and I'm still thinking about the incredible meal I had! I ordered the Crab Bites, Spicy Basil, Clam Chowder, Oyster Chicken Wings, and Lobster--each dish was absolutely phenomenal. The freshness and quality of the crab meat were out of this world. I've never had so much delicious, fresh crab in my life! The Chicken Wings deserve a perfect 10/10--hands down the best wings I've ever had. We also tried their veggie fresh rolls and wings. While good, the fresh rolls weren't anything out of the ordinary. The thai basil wings, however, were incredible!! The chef, and I believe owner, came out personally to check in on our group's favorite items, which was awesome and very appreciated. Made a 7:15 reservation for Valentines Day. Arrived at 7:15 to 15-20 people waiting just inside the door. No host/hostess to be seen. After standing around for 40 minutes we talked to the hostess. 7 groups ahead of us. No idea when we would be seated. Monkeys throwing feces at the zoo are more organized. We had reservations but no one checked us in. I asked others waiting with us, same thing. We left disappointed and coat smelling like fries. This restaurant is simply greedy and has no manners or rules. If you have reservations then don't let people with no reservations in. If we are late then you can cancel us. We were there 15 min before our reserved time. Is it difficult to avoid this? Yes if you don't have the table or servers just don't accept the reservation in the first place. It was 7:30 pm and many people were standing there, hungry. I am pretty sure the couple next to us will get a divorce because the husband made a reservation here. We parked at the parking lot next to the restaurant and it costed us 6 dollars. It starts to look like a scam. I demand my parking money back. Well I don't want to interact with this restaurant even to receive money. If the management is reading this, please donate 6 bucks to a charity of your choice and post the receipt here. I have mixed feelings writing this review, should it be 2 or 3? Food is good, service is horrendous. Great food means nothing if bad service makes it nearly impossible to get. That being said, hope this restaurant can listen to its customers and turn it around soon. Here are the details, starting with food. The "famous" chowder is so so, creamy indeed, but light on substance. Too little clam, trace of seafood. It is actually the worst dish we have. On the other hand, gumbolaya is super good. A little spicy, but bold and flavorful. Peanut sauce fried chicken wing is done just right: skin is crispy, sauce is spot on. Holy crab is a gem. Lots of chunky crab meat, deep fried basil leaves. A little spicy for me, but really like the easy way of eating crabs. Lastly is the crab seafood boil in special Cajun sauce (spicy). A big bowl of crab, shrimp, mussels and crayfish. Quantity and quality are both on the mark. If only judged by food quality, I would give it a solid 4, maybe even higher. Except for the service. The service was so bad, we saw multiple parties walk out. Their Valentine's dinner completely ruined. I was tempted to join them, but patience prevailed. We walked in 5 minutes before our reservation time, there were about 15 people standing by the entrance, a small foyer that is connected to the bar. There was no sign of the hostess as she was helping out everything and giving orders to the staff. We waited 30 minutes to get our table. (There was this couple pleading for an early seating as the wife was pregnant, to no avail). Another 20 minutes sitting there and nobody came. I had to go to the bar myself to get a glass of water. Soup arrived 45 minutes after seating and we repeatedly asked the waitress to check. By the time the last dish made it to the table, it was 1 hour 23 minute after we sat down. A few suggestions for the front staff. (Your kitchen staff rocks, it is the front line that is failing miserably). 1. Please do not over book that much. Your waiting staff is green and this restaurant needs time to mature. Once a customer gets a bad taste in mouth, it will take a long time to win back the trust. 2. Ms Mitchell, please say at the reception. Any customer needs your guidance. 3. Hire more seasoned waitress, you are severely under-staffed. read more

EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING you could taste how fresh the vegetables were as well as the seafood. Espresso martinis (with condensed milk) were 10/10. Thai peanut wings - 10/10. Crab Jalepeno rangoons (real crab) were 10/10. Crab garlic parmesan fries, TO DIE FOR!! Clam chowder - BEST IN WA!! Holy Crab - 10/10. This lunch was a delight and is now going to be our GO TO!! I never write reviews, but this restaurant is an utter hot mess. We arrived for our reservation at 7:30 pm on Valentine's Day and there was nobody at the front and all the staff were running around avoiding eye contact with the absolutely massive crowd just standing at the front. I went and talked to a staff member and she told me that everybody who was waiting had a reservation but they couldn't seat anybody. They were overbooked (and actually still had kept open reservation slots online despite being clearly like an hour or more behind). We left after some time because some people around us had been waiting since much earlier. This restaurant is irresponsible and greedy (overbooks) and fails to honor reservations. Furthermore, their phone line by mysterious coincidence did not work on this night - I wonder if they unplugged it to block out complaints.
