Really enjoyed our experience here. Came at 5:30 on a Friday evening without a reservation. There was plenty of seating in the lounge area and we were seated quickly. The lounge was really trendy and perfect for enjoying happy hour which is M-F, ending at 6pm. Food came out incredibly fast. Pisco sours were $9 and cebiches and other apps were $15-20ish which is a deal compared to their normal menu and would recommend if you're hoping to try this place. We also ordered a few items off the normal menu. All the food was delicious, but I will say the portions are quite small. Service and ambiance were both great. Did not give five stars only because I'm not sure the strep price is justified but we did enjoy our time here.

First time here on a whim looking for something different. Sunday night it wasn't too busy and we were able to get reservations booked on the drive into Bellevue. We weren't sure if the prices are aligned with what we ordered. But don't get me wrong, we the food was full of flavor and the presentation beautiful. Would consider this place to bring out of town guests or clients. Very nice, hip, vibe with nice decor. Service was friendly and they checked in on us often. We had the cebiche tasting menu, side of yuca fries, and split the arroz con mariscos. Cocktails were beautiful: pisco and fresa del sol. The stand out was by far the dessert! I would come back again and again just for the tres leches. One of the best desserts we've had in a while... I will probably be dreaming about it over the next few days.

La Mar is such a cute and fun spot! My brother and I took our mom there for Mother's Day and got the $79/person tasting menu for all three of us. Each course was bursting with flavor and our server thoroughly explained each course. They had a card on the table for my mom signed by the staff wishing her a happy Mother's Day. And she got sent home with a cute little box of house made chocolates as well! Such a memorable meal and can't wait to come back and try the rest of their menu.

Beautiful decoration with fresh seafood display up front. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch. The ceviche was refreshing and delicious! I would come back just for that. The lunch set was good and ended with a leche dessert that has just the right amount of sweetness and coconut flavor.

Been here a few times now. First the food and service is always top notch! The staff is friendly and attentive to anything you need. The flavor of the food is exotic and fresh. It's really worth trying. It's pricey for what you get so we don't come often but we have been here 3 times and the bill is the only challenge.

Amazing Peruvian restaurant in the Bellevue area. Everything we ate was excellently prepared. The cocktails were great. Our server was very kind, the seating area is large - I ended up ordering the executive lunch. The stars of the show were the arroz con mariscos and the tees leches. Presentation was beautiful and all the seafood was bursting with flavor. Cannot recommend enough for a special occasion or just want a great meal.

The food popped with flavor. As each dish came out, the latest dish became our favorite. The server was helpful and explained the menu and kept our water glasses full. The place was on Main street but not the downtown area. Parking in the garage was plentiful and free with validation. Our favorite was the fish and the dessert.

La Mar easily because one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. The quality and craftsmanship of each dish to the cocktails are top tier. The team was very open and excited to share their thoughts on menu items that made it difficult to not order the whole menu. The location itself was beautiful. Featuring low lit dinner lighting, various dining areas all while leaning into an elevated experience. I'll be back ASAP!

The food we ordered was tasty. We cleaned out every dish we ordered. My husband likes their spirit drinks he ordered. However, the chef's last bite (not pictured) which was two small pieces of chocolate was not good. Definitely not the last taste I wanted after the meal. It was bitter and sour...it needed some sweetness to tie the two strong flavors together. All the servers in the dinning area were friendly and attentive. However the hostess (young lady) working that night (6/6/26) at the front desk was not very friendly. No friendly greeting...not even a smile. As we waited to be seated (about 10 minutes past our reservation time for 7:30) I kept observing her and she just doesn't look happy to be working. She didn't greet anyone with a smile. I was tempted to go ask her why she looks so unhappy. Ambiance was nice with thoughtful decor and spacious seating.

Mi novio made reservations here for my birthday in April (I know I know it's a lateee review) and we had an amazing time! So happy to have a Peruvian restaurant on the Eastside! The restaurant is sooo beautiful. When we arrived it was for dinner and upon entering there was no host present. We waited a few minutes but no one came over so my man decided to walk up the stairs to find someone but a server saw him and asked him if we checked in with a host but we told the server there was no one there. The friendly server helped us and found the host to return to their desk at the entrance. Once sat we admired the beautiful decor and beautiful large menu. My man is Peruvian and was raised in Peru so trying a Seattle Peruvian restaurant is always fun and on the list for us. We always order a Pisco Sour and this one here was beautifully presented and tasty! Veal heart is necessary for me to order and wow was it delicious. The main entree we shared was the Achupado which also was super tasty. Food was presented nicely and was satisfying. Definitely a pricier restaurant so don't know if we'll return but super happy we tried it and marked it off the want to go list! Thank you la mar for a wonderful birthday dinner. All the servers were extremely kind, soft spoken, and helpful. We enjoyed a special occasion here and would recommend it for that :)

What a beautiful space with even better food and a phenomenal team! Food & drink: (5/5) My partner surprised me with a dinner here for Valentine's Day since it has been on both of our lists to try. Only he has had Peruvian food before so we opted for the prefix V-Day menu to make decision making a little easier. I wish I noted the exact items, but I believe we got a nori cone with fresh fish on top, hamachi crudo, crab ravioli, braised beef with mashed potatoes and veggies, chocolate mousse, and chocolate covered strawberries. Every single item was DELICIOUS with absolutely zero notes from either of us. Our favorite had to be the crudo with the vibrant orange, tangy sauce. Their seafood is all incredibly fresh. For drinks, we got the maracuya sour and hanami whisper. Both drinks were a bit stronger than we expected but we enjoyed them nonetheless. They also had inca kola, though our server did have to check to see if they even carried it. It's a Peruvian soda that tastes exactly like bubblegum. Worth a try! Service: (5/5) Given we were there are such a busy night, the team was absolutely incredible. They were so attentive without being overbearing. More conversational but not in a creepy way haha. Other notes: There's a parking garage below the restaurant. You may have to walk around the building to get back up to the restaurant entrance but it's not too hard to find. Definitely make a reservation if you can.

I have dined at La Mar a couple of times - it is consistently a good (but not quite great) meal. Service is unfailingly excellent, but the food is where the details go awry a bit. We have ordered the fish as our main entree on both occasions - it's always delicious, but it tends to be a very bony affair (as is to be somewhat expected with a whole fish for sure, but the micro-sized bones will be in every bite, which makes it not quite as enjoyable - some effort could be made to select different varieties of fish to feature/remove some of the pin bones). The ceviches are pretty good - sometimes a bit one-note (sour). The tiraditos are more flavorful, but they tend to be skimpy on the actual fish (we could barely pick out 4-5 tiny pieces of hamachi in the criollo). The entrees were hit or miss for us; we ordered the whole fish (tasty but see my comment above), the arroz con mariscos (delicious/well prepared), the lomo saltado (the beef portion was minuscule and VERY dry/tough), and the steak (a nice cut/tender, but undercooked through out - and I love a bloody steak). At this price point, I do expect more consistency in the food. The service saves the day, here, and the atmosphere is lively and fun.

Pulpo Crocante

Definitely recommend venturing out of Seattle for a tasty meal at La Mar! Came here as part of a group of 7 which allowed us to try a lot of dishes. While all the dishes were good, the highlights of the meal for me were the Planchaza and the Pulpo Crocante. Service was just as good as the food. Parking is on the street or in the structure (validated by restaurant).

Lol. If you're an empanada lover, this little hidden gem is a must-visit. It's tucked inside Pike Place Market and doubles as a small Latin grocery, stocked with sauces, spices, and other goodies from all over Latin America. Service is fast and friendly, and everything feels super authentic and homey. Just a little FYI: the yellow sauce isn't free, they charge $2 for it, so plan accordingly if you love dipping like I do! Perfect for a quick bite while exploring the market or grabbing a few specialty ingredients to take home.

It was a busy Thanksgiving weekend. They are located across the Farmers Market. Got two each of the beef and chicken empanadas. They are both tasty and delicious with lots of flavors but they are unreasonably priced at $8 a piece which wasn't stated anywhere on their menu board and only got the shock when I paid for them but the beef is made with lean ground organic beef and the chicken with organic shredded chicken breasts. Maybe that's why? I dunno, organic tends to be more expensive. Each beef or chicken empanada was garnished with onions, garlic, olives, pimientos, raisins, eggs, red & green bell peppers, some yummy spices and sauteed in olive oil and butter... that's a lot of stuff crammed in those empanadas. They also have salmon empanadas and ham and cheese empanadas. I'd probably get my empanadas elsewhere but this was the touristy Pike Place after all. Review #3615

The indoor space is really cute, but I was confused as to why everything was blocked off and restricted to takeout only. I ordered the famous Caribbean Roast sandwich and a side of rice and beans, which came to a little less than $30. While it's a good sandwich, it felt a bit heavy; I really found myself looking for more acid to cut through the fat and grease. I'm glad I was sharing with Jenny because it's quite a lot for one person. I also noticed toward the end that the bread was burnt. Overall, it's a solid sandwich, but between the stomach issues and the char, I'm not sure I'd go back.
