Windshield fluid was not working. Checked under hood and discovered all fluid reservoirs were empty. Reached out to dealership and was told only windshield washer fluid is topped off at scheduled maintenance visits. I have my receipt which states " checked and filled any other vehicle fluids as needed"! I am now stuck in limbo terrified to even start my car fearful of any engine damage if not already. My son leased A Kia EV9, he recently had new born baby and they also have a toddler, so he leased this UV9 to support his family. He only had this new car for maybe 3 weeks. The night his wife went into labor and was about 3 weeks after receiving this EV9. Which the car was hardly driven because she was 8 months pregnant About 4 hours after his second child was born, he went home to pick up his 2-year-old and take him to the hospital to meet his little brother. On the way back to the hospital the KIA EV9 just stopped running, it was fully charged. My son pulled over to the right on the busy Freeway with no power to the car, it just stopped running, could not make it to an exit. He called the police, they sent a tow truck, it took around one hour. He was sitting on the busy freeway with a 2-year-old in the car waiting for a tow, car could not move at all. Very scary night. Cost him $300 for the tow He reported this to KIA, and they did not even show any concern. About two days later he received a letter for a call back saying on this model that the engine has problems, just stopping for no reason. Kia knew about this dangerous problem and never told my son. What the heck, they knew about this issue and Kia still lease him a car knowing about this this problem. KIA put my family in danger and when he called them to report what happen they said yes there is an issue with the engine. Kia said bring it in and we will fix it. It took 2 weeks and they still charge full month lease. My son could have gotten hurt; my 2-year-old grandchild could have been killed if they were hit by oncoming traffic while sitting there on the freeway for one hour. I'm so upset. KIA finally serviced the car and supposedly fixed the engine due to a recall after the fact. But when asked to refund the $300 for the tow we heard nothing. To this day there has been no response from KIA. I am writing this review because my son felt no one got hurt that night, but I am really pissed off because KIA knew about the problem and never let him know. KIA did not care but it could have been a lot worst. If they only told people about the engine problem when they knew, he would have never taken EV9 out. I saw a few other reviews claiming they also received the bait and switch after seeing the advertised offer then in person received a price $6k higher! I am a former customer of Superior Kia and moved to another city. I brought my Kia Optima there and all my car maintenance was done there. After I moved from the city, my Kia was included in a class action suit against Kia and subsequently I needed copies of maintenance records especially regarding all the oil changes for 2018-2019. I requested the records and they were sent in a timely manner, however there were no records for 2018-2019. When I called back to request the records I was told that they were not able to help me and what they sent was all they had. Impossible! Don't trust this place! Everything you ever thought about a car salesman/dealership is exactly true. Don't believe anything they tell you! Absolutely the worst car buying experience I've ever had and I've probably bought 15 cars in my life. My wife drives out to this place on Wednesday to look at a 2022 Corolla for my son. She liked it. Talked and text with sales guy, Stew. Tell him I will run out on Wednesday if we can work it out. He says they are slammed. He tells me "he (the manager) said he will work the deal out but it would be earliest tomorrow morning to finalize. He is only Manager on duty tonight. I will text over purchase order 1st thing in the morning." We still go out. Get there at 7:15 (they close at 8:00PM). They are not absolutely slammed, there is one customer in the entire dealership and sales people sitting on their phones. We test drive the car. Send Stew another text that we want the car. Next morning he sends over order for full asking price (not what we discussed). We go back and forth and at 3:56 yesterday he says "Ok, got the $250 off and car going back to service now should be ready by tomorrow noon". "Sending over new numbers". Great we had a deal. Again, would have went right out but were told the car wasn't ready. At 8:45AM on Friday, two days after I've been trying to buy this car, I get a text that says the car sold. My wife drove to this dealership Wednesday afternoon, we both drove back while they were still open the same day but were told they were too busy to do a deal. Thursday we supposedly have a deal but can't pick up until Friday. Then the cars sold. We don't even get a common courtesy of phone call to say sorry the car sold that we told you was yours at noon today. I get a three- word text. The unprofessionalism of this whole situation is staggering. Left a message for a manager Jason Mersch (was told he was the manager but who knows). As of this post, I haven't gotten a call back and I'm sure I won't. These people don't deserve your business! As of 4 hours later, still no call from a manager. UPDATE: I was contacted by Gerald Green from Superior the day after i posted this review. He apologized for the confusion since he was not there that day and stated that was ready to make a deal on the vehicle. In short, he was willing to beat the internet price by a small amount and come within $10 of my targeted monthly payment goal. He was able to get me a lower interest rate than the salesman before him and increased the trade-in amount by $600. So all in all he did what shouldve been done during the first visit. I still didnt end up purchasing the vehicle simply because Jake Sweeney in Florence is willing to give the full payoff for my vehicle $11,600 while dropping the price of their vehicle to $20,300. Granted the interest rate is 1% higher over there, its still the better deal and i didnt have to go there twice or write a nasty review to get the right deal the first time. Even though a deal was not landed on i have edited this review to reflect the efforts made to remedy the issues in play. First we asked for a cash price before running me through the credit bureaus. They told us that a cash price was unavailable without searching up our credit history. We pressured the salesman into disclosing a cash price before checking our credit, they declined. It was at this point that i realized that something wasnt right. I went against my gut and went through the credit application anyway. After nearly an hour, the salesman returns with some numbers. He stated that the MSRP of the vehicle was $26,080 and that would be the amount that i would need to finance PLUS carrying over $2,000 of negative equity from my seriously undervalued trade which NADA values at over $10,000 in average shape. I can take the hit of my vehicle being undervalued. Its not uncommon for a dealer to low ball you on a trade to greaten their sales margins later, after all, thats what keeps the lights on. So for this review, we are going to let that slide. But lets touch base on the $3,315 price difference from the internet. I brought it up to the salesman who said that the manager refused to honor the internet price and that the internet price was essentially intended to 'get me in the door'. So in short, this particular dealer wants to capitalize on those that dont fully understand the car buying process and that doesnt sit well with me in the slightest. Thats a VERY shady way to operate. Although my experience with the salesman who understood my concerns very well was good. My overall outlook on this dealer is about as good as dirt. When i go to a dealership after seeing an internet price, thats the price im expecting. No BS. Many other dealers are offering this same vehicle with the same option between $20,000 and $23,000 so if i were you, i would avoid this place at all costs because if you dont, youll quickly understand what paying too much for a vehicle feels like. As a side note, i called kia directly (not superior kia). They told me that the price of this vehicle retails brand new for $26,080 if i ordered it straight from them. So thats likely where those numbers came from. But advertising it at $22,765 and expecting the consumer not to have a heart attack when they see that they are paying $26,000 is a little bit of a stretch. Kia also disclosed that the dealer was failing to implement a $1,750 incentive that is supposed to be factored into the price of every 2021 Forte. This wouldve brought the price of the vehicle down to $24,330. They stated that with this incentive, the dealer would recieve a credit which would allow them to honor the internet price of $22,765 without taking a significant loss. They promptly apologized on behalf of superior kia for the poor sales tactics and intend to investigate the matter. Nonetheless, i accepted the apology, but Superior Kia has lost my business and i certainly hope this helps others make that decision aswell. read more

A salesman named "Eddie Williams" sold a defective 2013 Kia Optima to my older sister Joanna Proud back in December 2020 and the thing burns oil like a BP oil rig blowout. The dealer and the service department WON'T do anything about it "until the engine blows". After doing some research we found out that the same dealership had sold the car to someone in November of 2020 and then bought it back from them and then turned around and sold it to my sister less than a month later. VERY disappointed in our experience. We drove 4.5 hours from Nashville, TN to look at a used Honda only to find out one of their employees TOOK THE KEY HOME and we couldn't even test drive it. We gave them a heads up before we headed to the dealership that we were coming, so they should've prepared better. We had to wait around for an hour for them to make a key, but upon inspecting the outside of the vehicle, there was a massive dent in the roof that the pictures online convenient failed to show. To make matters worse, they advertise the vehicle, is coming with factory, standard alloy wheels, but they were still with plastic hubcaps...unreal. On Sunday September 25th 2016 we purchased a new 2015 Optima LX 4CYL Automatic that had 50 miles bought from Superior Kia at 260 West Mitchell Ave Cincinnati, Ohio 45232. My wife and I really like the incentives and warranty that Kia offers. We didn't want to buy an American car and knew a foreign car will be our next auto purchase. Regretfully, our purchase turned out to be a nightmare. After waiting three hours to get to negotiating a price with sales manager Gerald, it took another hour and thirty minutes to come to an agreement. Keith Malone Business Manager was very rude kept looking at his watch while he was waiting for us to read and sign documents. He laughed at my wife and I and made us feel like we were some idiots just because we didn't buy anything extra to add to our purchase. Needless to say we regret even dealing with them, this dealership, and in the end we didn't get a fair deal. Monday we called to let the salesmen Gerald know that they didn't' give us our second key. Gerald said he would try and locate the key. As of today (Oct.5th 2016), we were told a key was ordered through Kia, and waiting for it to arrive at dealership. On Tuesday September 27th 2016 while cleaning the car we noticed there were rust spots all over the chrome areas of the car. Later on having a passenger ride in the back right side of car, the door wouldn't open due to faulty door latch. I went to lock the car and the security horn wasn't working properly, it put out a very muffled sound. Keep in mind this was bought, as "New" the problem is a new car wouldn't have these issues wrong with it. Wednesday September 28th 2016 brought car back to dealership, and told them of the issues we were having. We let them know that we never received a second key and then got the run around from sales mgr. Gerald. He said the key man wasn't in and we would have to come back when he's there. For our car issues we were told service department will have to take a look at it and they will be dealing with us about the car from this point on. We brought the car back to get it fixed and the service department manager told us that the spots on the chrome was just rail dust coming off the train tracks that sit adjacent to the dealership. So I had him show me another car on the lot that had the same thing and turned out that ALL their cars have the rust spots on them. He couldn't get us in for service that day and had to bring back the car on Friday September 30th. They said they would take care of the car issues. As for the "rail dust"(RUST) they would put Value Guard treatment on it (acid wash). Friday September 30th 2016 morning we brought the Optima to service department. He gave us a rental car to use while the car is in the shop. He told us that car should be done by the end of the day. We received a phone call later that evening stating that they had to order parts for the car and wont be in till next week. We left the car at the service center with them because they said it could come in Monday they don't know. Later on when my wife went to move the loner car to let daughter pull her car into the garage the loner car didn't start. We had someone come by and try to jump start the car and it didn't work. The man said it was probably the starter. Saturday October 1st 2016, wife called to have loner car removed from driveway. Monday October 3rd 2016 wife had called to see if car was ready and wanted to pick up the car. She was told the car parts should be in the follow day so we left the car in their possession again. Received a phone call on Tuesday October 4th 2016, and said parts didn't come in and would be looking at Thursday October 6th 2016 for our car to be repaired. My wife made it clear that the car is not to sit on the lot exposed to the air because we don't want to same issue with rust spots to arise in the future due to train tracks nearby. We have not seen the car after the Value Guard treatment. We live a little over thirty minutes away, and as you can see we have made trips back to and fro, and not to mention since purchasing this brand "new" 2015 Optima LX 4CYL Automatic we have only had it in our possession for four days total. This is supposedly a brand new car? A brand new car doesn't have these kinds of issues! I sure hope all that we have went through, that this car doesn't have major issues as reported on many car review websites. I was referred to this location by a dear friend. She had nothing but great compliments. I however, was very disappointed when I took my Kia Soul to be serviced. When I set up the appointment I explained I had already purchased my headlight bulbs. He said "no problem" we'll install them. Showed up for my appointment after about 15 min the gentleman approached and stated "you purchased the wrong bulbs." ( which I knew I didn't) okay install yours please! He then returns to say "sorry but you'll have to come in and pay for a diagnostic test. Not sure why your lights won't come on". My appointment was Friday at 7 am. Called my friend He came over, we changed both headlights with the bulbs I purchased and get what, EXACTLY headlights are working fine. Overhead the sale manager and some employees in the office. They were very disrespectful and talking poorly about their customers and other employees. Waited in the lobby for over an hour waiting to be helped after making an appointment. They misplaced the keys and their manager was "Busy." Many employees sitting around not helping with the situation. Very poor customer service. Got to test drive the car and it has signs of them hidings problems, like hot glued plastic parts, new badges, shaky parts, etc. It's like putting make up on a pig. STAY AWAY!!! I bought an 09 Kia Rio from here in or around August of 2013. Everything was fine with the vehicle until shortly after the "FREE" service job that was performed in Dec 2013. We started noticing a pull to the right, about the second week of January, and were thinking it was primarily from the wonderful roads around Cincinnati, but that was not the case. Luckily we took our vehicle to the Sears Auto down the road from us, just in time to find out that there was a significant bulge on the TREAD wear, not the sidewall, which is typical of hitting a curb or hard object with a tire. The technicians said I was lucky that it didn't progress and blow out on me. So needless to say, I am having to replace the tire and the Sears rep informed me that a problem like this should have been caught when they rotated my tires in Dec. So I called Superior and talked with Kim in the Service Dept and she explained it was a warranty issue and not something that would have be caught. She made it quite clear that the service was performed 2 months ago and that I should have came in the day after, the performed service, with the problem. Well, I wish the car started showing the problem that soon, but then again that is confirming that their technicians don't do a thorough check and they expect people to return the vehicle if there is a problem. OK, that to me sounds totally wrong, if I, the customer, have to find out was is wrong with THEIR "FREE" service work. Also when I was initially purchasing my car I had initially been looking at a Hyundai which was about $3k less and had talked with the sales rep 30 min prior and then when I got there it was SOLD. Which, now looking back on it, I should have demanded to see the bill of sale on that vehicle and make sure that it wasn't a classic bait and switch. So needless to say, even though I have a "FREE SERVICE FOR LIFE" from their lovely service department, that doesn't want to acknowledge their mistake. I emailed on a car I saw on AutoTrader asking if it was still available. I was told it was. The salesperson called me and asked if I wanted to go look at it. Told him I would talk with my husband and then call him back. My husband liked the price and the looks of the car, so I called him back and told him my husband would be driving 30 minutes (in the pouring rain) to test drive the car. "Great. We'll have it ready for you when you get here.". My husband gets there, and they sold the car YESTERDAY. He never talks to the sales person, Zach, who I spoke to. I call him back and relay what my husband was told thinking maybe they made a mistake. Nope, Zach asks me if we're interested in another car there. If it was possible to pick 0 stars for this place I would pick it. I arrived there one evening after work and walked through the front doors of Superior Kia and not a single person greeted me. It actually took 15-20 minutes and I had to approach someone myself for help. I found a car I liked and test drove it and told the guy I wouldn't be long. He said he'd be waiting for me to get back. They force you to purchase the 1999.oo paint protection and etching or they won't sell you the car. Salesman was very good, dealership not good! Paid exactly MSRP. Won't move 1 dollar off of the vehicle and with the extras they force you to buy, you will pay 2500 over MSRP. Also they put a really bad dent with a scratch on the vehicle while cleaning during the buying process. Now we have to go out of our way to take it to their body shop on a vehicle with 14 miles on it. who knows how it will turn out with the service there. Before we went to the dealership, I called and spoke to a lady named Penny. Asked her if they will come 500 off the price and won't waste our time. She assured me that they would give the best price and would work on the 500 off. Went to the dealership and waited. She never showed her face and then they told us that we had to pay the 2500 over msrp for the extras that we did NOT want. The salesman, Anthony, was very courteous and appologised for them making us pay for the extras. The manager Gerald, not so courteous and said that if we didn't buy the extras, he couldn't sell us the car. NOT even an apology for them damaging the vehicle before we left and now we are the ones who are inconvenient for the damages on a vehicle that we overpaid for! Would of been nice not to be lied to about the price before we came to the dealership. Also, if you are requiring us to buy the extras, maybe you should disclose that in the vehicle details or your website! read more

I had to go to Superior Kia for my 6 month oil change in November. The dealership sends an email reminder. These oil changes are necessary to maintain the service and parts warranty on my Kia Rio. I scheduled an appointment for a weekday morning before going to work. The service area is located behind the dealership. When I pulled into the service bay an associate opened the office door and greeted me. Once inside they checked me in and after a quick inspection of my vehicle I was told that the tires should be rotated. The waiting room is down the hall. The Property Brothers show was on the television so I chose to sit in the work alcove instead. Here I charged my phone and checked my emails. The car was ready in about 55 minutes. They were having computer problems so it took a few extra minutes to check out and pay. The oil change was discounted. I requested my free car wash. Several minutes later my car was clean and waiting. The staff provided friendly and professional service. Next time you need service on a Kia consider giving them a call. SCAM ALERT - NEVER BUY VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They took order in July 2021. I kept waiting to get my car. I made multipe attempts to get an update on vehicle. As per Benjamin dealership was sold to new owner with same set of employees. They had no way to track old orders and all old orders were canceled. No one bothered to contact and update me. I myself went online and tracked vehicle was delivered to dealership. When I contacted delearship and gave last 4 of VIN, I was told that the car was sold yesterday. I counter questioned them about why no one contacted me when car was at your place and Benjamin said they had no way to track. A day before that I called salesperson Amos and talked with him about my order. He said Mr.Patel it should be there any day soon. This dealership is not worth anyone's business as they do not care about customer service. Beware of them. I am forced to write this review as 7 month waiting to get an answer like this is just unacceptable. DO NOT GIVE BUSINESS to this dealership. read more

I hate leaving negative reviews for businesses, but my experience at this dealership was so bad that I have to share it. This is the shortened version to satisfy the character limit on this site - see my full review on Dealer Rater. We found a Kia Rio S for $14,460 at Superior. The best priced we could find was at Coughlin Kia in Newark for $13,500, but they had just sold their last one. Both dealers are 2 hours away, and Superior was the next best price, so away we drove. We test drove and liked a Rio, and were told that there was a $1999 charge for an undercoating that was already applied. We came to pay $14,460. We know there are processing fees (up to $250 in the state of Ohio) plus tax and title, but an extra $2000?!? We said we were not paying that - we came to pay the advertised price. There's a ton more to the story (like how they tried to sneak in an extended warranty without telling us) but, suffice it to say that we ended up stupidly agreeing to pay $500 for this undercoating assuming we'd get info on it. We did not. We also ended up getting charged $299 for Etch, which we knew nothing about until the next day when I looked over our paperwork hoping to find something that would remedy my major buyer's remorse. I had no info on Etch that with our paperwork either. The car (brand new, mind you) came with no floor mats, no handshake (even though there was a handshake at the beginning of the process), no congratulations, no pictures, and no excitement. Just an extra $799 on the top for basically nothing, or at least nothing that was explained to us. If you're going to charge extra for something, you need to make the customer see the value in it. All we see is a scam. We gave this dealership a lot of money, and I have communicated with them how our experience was. Oh, and just so you all know, Etch is just silver stickers put on your car windows. And, without explanation or a contract, you probably wouldn't know that you're supposed to get $2500 for the car should it be stolen and not recovered. I thought that was covered by insurance, right? But, yep, $299 for stickers (but no info). What a rip off. The car is great. But, I will always have a bad taste in my mouth from the experience. Never again. I suggest you drive to Coughlin. You will be much happier and it will be totally worth the drive. Had I purchased my first Kia at Superior, I may have written off Kia for life. Everyone knows the pain of buying a car at a dealership. Bought a vehicle here 5 weeks ago. It was probably the most pain free buying process I have experienced. I have not bought many cars but Superior Kia now known as Jeff Wyler Kia was great. My salesmen were Thatcher Johnson and Warren Mitchell. They took care of everything and answered all of my questions. There was not much haggling on price. Sales manager, Gerald Greene, seemed motivated on working out a good price. Extras that were presented to me originally in the price that I asked to be removed were removed without issues. I was not pressured to buy anything whatsoever. I just declined the extras and moved on. The only knock I have has nothing to do with the dealership but more of the process of tax, title, and registration. KY has a weird process so instead of the dealer doing everything for you, you have to wait for the title, registration and check from the dealer to come in through the mail. I waited 5 weeks before it arrived and went to the transportation cabinet and took care of it. It took an hour out of my day. I have read the negative reviews but which dealership doesn't? I can't speak for others experiences but mine was a positive one. I always recommend you to do your research before purchasing any vehicle. read more

Walked in at 3:30 on a Sunday. Dealership closes at 5. Girl at the "receptionist" desk never looked up from her phone. Saw a salesman in a corner, also busy staring at his phone. I knew which model I wanted to check out, but it wasn't in the showroom. I'd seen some outside, so I figured a salesperson would speak to me, grab a key, and allow me to sit in a car. Too much to ask, it seems. I wasn't going to approach someone and ask permission to see a $25,000 car. At least greet your customers. read more
