8/12024 My vehicle started shaking when it reached 40 mph. I brought it into Glenway auto. They said I needed new tires. More specifically they said tire was cupping. Some of the wires broke apparently in the tire. I did not believe that at first and I did not see any indication of any thing wrong with my tires, but I went along with what they said because they are the professionals. I picked my car up after the new tires were installed.. driving down harrison It had the same rattling at 40 mph. I called them irritated and said did you test drive this vehicle? They said they did which I dont believe. . long story short they said the problem is my drive train is worn out and I need a new one. they claim that two different problems were causing the vibration. the likelihood in my opinion of having two different issues causing the same problem is pretty much unbelievable the reality is they either misdiagnosed the problem or they are crooked. either way I don't want anything to do with them again. The very best - and sincere - complement I can give this place is 'I believe them'. I'm just not a car guy. Never been interested in that world, so my proficiency at maintenance is limited to changing a flat tire. If something goes wrong, I take it here. On more than one occasion the fine folks working here have diagnosed my problem as something super minor and charged a very nominal fee (if anything) to fix it. They don't take advantage of my relative ignorance, which you can't say for a lot of places in this line of work. What work we have had to get done has always been quick and professional, but more than anything else I always believe them when they explain what is going on. Always good service occasional hiccup but, definitely a great shop. Paint shop did a1 job on my car. They always stand behind their work and super to work with. I give 4 stars which is great, but always believe there is room for constant improvement. read more

The Glenway Auto Center has been great both times I went. Now I am pretty picky when it comes to vehicle maintenance since it was my first job in the AF. I have a bit of experience overseeing and running a shop and always walk into a garage with a critical eye. Glenway's shop is clean, well organized and the personnel are both friendly, up front and do a great job. They were willing to work with me on my first visit when I botched a job at home and they have found, fixed and stood behind everything they have done. Anyway, as a career transportation & logistics guy, I give this shop my highest recommendation and will be happy to go back to them when I need help. Stopped by the shop on our way from Chicago to Asheville because our brakes were acting funny. They were about to close, but said they would take a look and ended up adjusting the brakes that night and checking and filling all our fluids. Great work and extremely reasonable price. Went in for a deflating tire. They patched it up for free without trying sell me any other services. Great service, highly recommend.

As a woman, you can't trust them. It cost me over $1000.00 for an a/c and it still doesn't work, they want an additional $500. What a shame. Small claims court here I come. read more

brought my van into this garage , they looked at it for free, that is the best I can say about them. had a wine in the starter when I started it up, first thing they said even though I told them it had a new ac delco starter on it, they said it might be the wrong starter. there fix was a new three hundred dollar starter, all I needed was my starter adjusted, I got the feeling that wasn't making enough money for them. They got it up on the lift and said here is the problem its got shims on it , this year doesn't take shims. my thinking not being a mechanic was if it wined that meant the gears are to close together and more shims would fix it. I took it down the street the man there put more shims on it and it sounded normal again when I started the thing. he charged me forty dollars. Now see ill go back to this man who put the shims on it again and again cause he just did what I needed . If you make a lot of money and you have it to give im sure glenway chevy would do the job just fine also. but with the economy the way it is and me coming in with my 16 year old van, this isn't the place for me.
