Salmon Benedict
Tijah M.

The outdoor seating here is beautiful and open, and going on a cooler day makes the whole place feel like the perfect weekend vibe. My friends and I spent a few hours enjoying brunch, mimosas, wine, oysters, laughter, and great service. I had the salmon Benedict this time and it was amazing -- super flavorful, fresh, and definitely something I'd order again. We've also met the owner a few times while visiting and she's always so pleasant. You can tell she's passionate about what she's created here. This is definitely one of my Gainesville favorites and honestly a hidden gem in the city.

OMG! Cherry pancakes and a mocktail. Life IS good!

Someone just messaged me that Superette has Take Out. Good to know, but I enjoy my visits there thoroughly! Quiet ambiance and lovely people make dining out such a pleasure.

Update: I went again with a smaller group of ppl this time (5 ppl). I really enjoyed my time. I wasn't eaten by mosquitos bc it was the day time. It was beautiful outside so we sat outside. We moved tables quite a bit do to our size and the server didn't mind it (probably bc it had just opened). The food was great and the service is great. I truly recommend anyone come here, especially for brunch/lunch. Again, I would avoid sitting outside at night if you're someone like me that the mosquitos love.

Happy hour is the happiest of all hours starts at Superette. I did a solo outing here Friday night. I believe happy hour is from 4 - 7pm daily. Thankfully, the weather was good enough to sit outside in the garden area. Sitting the garden area subjects you to ordering at the counter, so if you prefer a waiter - sit inside. I ordered the Mediterranean Mule and for my snack I ordered the shoestring French fries. The Mediterranean Mule has the traditional elements of a Moscow Mule but has fig vodka which gave it more of a sweeter profile that was surprisingly delicious. It still had an earthy/herbal taste more than a traditional mule but was very good and strong. I enjoyed two of these! For the snack, the shoestring French fries are coated in a Lebanese seasoning that was savory with a hint a spice. These fries were addicting! The sauce which was a garlic aioli - elevated the fries even more, and I love a good garlic aioli as well. It was creamy and had the perfect balance of garlic. Overall, a great happy hour spot and atmosphere. Also, the service was very good as well from the hostess to the counter service.

Patio area

I visited this location several times during its first few months of business, in-fact, I actually booked the very first event hosted there! Back then, I really loved the wine, the vibe, and the patio. However, I didn't love having to order at the counter, fill my own water, or clear my own table. Those self-serve elements didn't match the price point or the potential the space clearly had. Fast forward to yesterday, years later, when I was pleasantly surprised by an elevated experience. A friendly hostess greeted us outside and walked us to a table. We were immediately given menus and water. Within minutes, all my previous concerns about customer service were out the window. I found myself genuinely impressed by the attentive service. The decor is as cute as I remembered, the patio remains a gem, and the wine was just as delicious. I was also happy to see they now offer a full food menu, which I'm excited to try on future visits. This place is a perfect spot for a girls' night, brunch, or a date. Highly recommend!

Decided to check this place out to celebrate an occasion. It happened to be wine tasting Thursdays- you get to try 4 different wines for $15/person. All the wines paired well with what we ordered coincidentally and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Will come back again to enjoy more next time!

Whipped feta

All the food was very good and fairly flavorful. My favorite plate was the whipped feta! The whipped feta is buttery, fruity from the olive oil, and nutty from the pistachios. The plates felt like they were missing a special something to round out the meal, like an extra topping or side. I wish the portions of some of the dishes were a little bigger. The breakfast plate with 2 eggs, bacon, biscuit, and potatoes came out to $20 after tip and tax and I felt it wan't worth the price. I'm taking another star off for the wait. From being seated to getting our cards back, it took almost 2 hours. Our entrees took around 40 minutes to arrive. Our waiter was very nice, though. The ambience is BEAUTIFUL! Such an adorable place to come for brunch. It feels really unique and such a little gem.

This place has a super cute vibe and a very unique menu! I sat in the garden and there was plenty of seating with pretty good service. Just be aware that if you sit in the garden you have to go up to the bar and order as opposed to being waited on, but they will still bring your meal out to you. I ordered the phyllo French toast, and the presentation was beautiful, but unfortunately it looked better than it tasted. It wasn't bad by any means, but it lacked a little in flavor and seemed slightly undercooked. The concept was very good but I wish the execution was a little better. Overall a cute place but a little overpriced, especially since the food (at least what I ordered) was just alright.

Super cute place (it doesn't even feel like you're in Gainesville haha). We only stopped by for late night happy hour, but there was plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, as well as live music outside. The staff was friendly and I hope to come back one day. The only complaint I have was that we were overcharged for our drinks on our tab and had to double check and get them fixed by the staff before leaving.

There is an incredible selection of wine and cocktails here for starters. We ordered much more food than we needed to because everything on the menu looked so tasty. Each item we tried was excellent! The dining/bar area is open and airy with a vaulted ceiling. They use mismatched china which is charming. The service was outstanding too. Can't wait to go again!

I thought the ambiance was serene and the food was delicious. I loved how peaceful it was to sit there surrounded by greenery, butterflies, and birds chirping as I ate. However, the discontent I have with the establishment lies more with the service. It would've been fine that we had to serve ourselves if we had not automatically received an automatic 20% tip tacked onto each of our bills for being a large party. Not only did we have to grab glasses and refill them ourselves at a station nearby, we also had to grab our own utensils and napkins. My friend also had a very minor customization, this being to remove bacon off her sandwich and they somehow ended up taking the longest on her order to the point she had to ask the waiter about it. She had also ordered first in our group. In addition, they forgot a side she had and when she asked them to get it, it took quite long for it to come out. Other than that, the food was great and we still enjoyed our eating experience at the restaurant.

We went to Superette to celebrate a birthday, and right off the bat, the restaurant was beautiful. We chose to sit outside and the lighting, set up and atmosphere was very nice. I'd recommend this place more for a small get together, than a restaurant per se. The food however, was a bit of a hit or miss. I ordered the short rib, which I enjoyed, and the green beans and grits accompanied it well. However, the salmon and shawarma plate were not flavorful. The house smoked salmon, tried by 4 of our guests, wasn't very tasty. The shawarma chicken was very dry and had little to no taste, unfortunately. Overall, I enjoyed the friendly staff and ambiance of Superette, but would come for the drinks, charcuterie, or atmosphere rather than a dinner.

Such a laid back and lovely environment for drinks or dinner. Definitely want to return for brunch sometime soon. Lots of options on the happy hour menu (4-7 everyday). The outdoor area is counter service and they bring your items directly to the table.

Delicious dinner and well priced. Fee to open bottle purchased from their own inventory was excessive.

My boyfriend got a cappuccino with strawberry syrup but we didn't really taste the strawberry in his. Regardless, it was delicious. We also got one of their biscotti which seemed like they made in house but I'm not sure. It was yummy, but definitely was not a very traditional recipe. It tasted more like a short bread than a biscotti but still very yummy. We walked out to the food truck to get some vegan bites and they definitely met expectations. The crabby patty was delicious with a great texture, and my boyfriends patty melt was also super good. We shared a mac and cheese and honestly I was full before we even got to that. The Mac and cheese was great but did taste a lot like coconut so if you're not into that then maybe veer away. The ambience was a mixed bag. The initial shop that you order the coffee in had a very cozy vibe with great decor. If you walk past the patio into the overflow seating the vibe changes a ton. The decor felt very uncanny valley, back rooms, like very odd. I think they need to work on that side of the property a little bit and make it more cozy. Maybe it's a work in progress or maybe they like it that way, I'm not sure, but it wasn't the sort of vibe that made me want to stick around. Overall great experience though! Will be coming back & hopefully I can get seating in the main shop ;)

Prices seem standard at first glance, but considering the quality, I'd say they're a steal. The plants are all in the right soil mixtures, clearly well-cared for, and just thriving--it shows they really know what they're doing.
