Wow. I've been a couple of times and keep ordering the rib sandwich. It's is so good and delicious. I want to try all their super well thought out and prepared masterpieces! Super nice too! read more

Just came back from having a "Cuban" sandwich and I wanted to give a review more as a contribution to the owner's "Cuban" than a critique of the restaurant. First off, the french fries (which come with every sandwich) were awesome and abundant enough to share. The servers (order takers) were great. The food came out relatively quickly and was hot. All, a Cuban sandwich is not what you made for me. A Cuban has the same ingredients and more pickles and mustard. And grilled on the outside. This could be a great Cuban, please go read up on this wonderful cultural contribution to gastronomy and do better. The filling tasted mushy and lacked flavor. read more

Love their steak sandwich! Fast service too. Quality has stayed steady so far. It nice have it as a go to choice at Ballston Quarter.

Full disclaimer I was hosted here but WOW was the food good! Even better was the company - Arris and Kate are both gems and truly care about customer experiences and service. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the BLT-ish, which were both phenomenal. I also was impressed that the pulled pork required NO sauce. I'm so used to it being doused in bbq sauce - this isn't that kind of sandwich. And the BREAD PUDDING WOW. The star of the show. I'm salivating typing this. Definitely a great place to grab a quick meal or even to sit at the bar for drinks! read more

Everyone keeps hyping up this spot but it was so mediocre when I went. The Steak and Cheese lacked flavor and didn't have hardly any meat on it. I've seen other people's pictures on here and their Steak and Cheese from Superette doesn't look anything like the one they gave me. Not sure if maybe I just came on a bad day or what. The only reason they didn't get a One Star on this rating is due to the fact that the food was at least hot when I received my order. But hot and flavorless only takes you so far. read more

Great place to grab a quick bite to eat! They have a pretty wide variety of sandwiches available, we ordered the steak and cheese and Californian sandwich (their brioche bread is so good) We ordered our sandwiches with a side of fries, but they have house made chips with different flavors which I definitely want to try next time! They also have fun alcoholic (frozen!) drinks available too which is worth a try. read more

I went to Superette because it was on Yelp's top places in Northern VA to eat. I wasn't as impressed as I'd hope. Their menu had a good variety from Korean short rib to a Cuban to a Ruben sandwich. I got the pulled pork BLT. It was pretty good but I wish the pulled pork had more flavor. I had a side salad with Italian dressing. It was a simple salad. The place is in a nice food hall and the atmosphere is nice. It a good place to go with friends because everyone can pretty much get what they want. read more

Every time I've been to Superette has been a great experience! Hot, fresh sandwiches every time. The ladies I usually see behind the counter are always nice. Food comes out fast. Located in the basement of Ballston Quarter / food court area and is a top choice among the other restaurants. Californian is my go-to! read more

Amazing short rib sandwich and the salad it came with was good too. Great service and friendly staff. Will definitely go back.

I keep giving this place multiple chances, and it is always disappointing. The prices are fine, but the portions have gotten way smaller in recent months. I got the blackened chicken, the chicken was paper thin, virtually non existent. The fries are good, a bit cold, but not bad. However, it came with 7 fries. Overall, I feel like the prices / quality / portion sizes are a very mediocre deal. At other visits I've had the Italian (average) and short rib (lacking in flavor). read more

Friendly cashier and got our food pretty quick. The Cubano was solid and the fries were great

I didn't even know this place existed until today, but I'm so glad I found it! I really enjoyed my meal. I got the short rib sandwich and thought the short rib had amazing flavor. My only complaint is that the sandwich was a little dry and I wish I had some more sauce. My husband got the steak and cheese and that was incredible! The fries are also my favorite fries - crunchy, crispy, and delicious! Next time I'm craving a sandwich I will definitely come back here. read more

This place is the real deal. I have tried 2 of their sandwiches, The Short Rib, and the burger. Keep in mind this reviewed is based on eating the food 40 minutes after picking it up as I ordered to go. Lets start with the burger, you may want to avoid ordering this as it might be the worse thing they offer on their menu. That being said, the burger was okay, but nothing great. For me it was the American cheese that kept me from really enjoying it. I also opted out their special sauce, and maybe it really needs it? Maybe this is something you have to eat right then and there? Either way don't waste your money on this, order something else, you'll be happier. The short rib is really the sandwich to try here. It tasted like it came from a different kitchen compared to the burger. Everything about it was the exact opposite, the roll was perfect, the Gruyere cheese was perfect, the meat ratio was generous... perfect, perfect, perfect. I mean this thing comes with freaking AVOCADOS! I ordered this with out their chipotle aioli and it did not taste like it was missing anything. Try this if you're not sure what to get, you won't regret it. Because of the short rib, I will be back to try everything else, except for the burger. read more

Good sandwiches and waffle fries in the food court. . Friendly service, worth stopping in if sandwiches are your jam. They're mine!

Great quick bite. Ordered the Steak and Cheese with chips. Quality meat and the house made chips were a great alternative to typical bag chips. Daughter ordered the Caprese. Also very good. read more

I think this place was a victim to all the hype I have heard about it. My family tried it a couple days ago and, though my daughter loved the burger and especially the bun, we thought the California sandwich we tried was pretty good, but nothing special for the price. We'll give it another shot (as maybe it was an off experience) and update this review, but, as of now, I'll probably stick with Earl's or Lee's Sandwiches when I'm craving a sandwich. read more

Superette is ~super~ underrated. The breakfast sandwich and the hashbrown was insanely good. The sandwich was packed with flavor with chipolte aioli and avocado while the hashbrown was perfectly crispy. It was filling but didn't feel too heavy. I can't wait to try the other sandwiches and come back to Ballston quarter. read more

Yum! Suprisingly we were behind the trend of visiting here, even though we only live several stone throws away. Their steak and cheese is awesome and I was impressed with the few bites that the wife allowed me, it is easily in the top 2-3 that you can get in Arlington. My cuban was also right up there on the versions that I have tried. Considering their reasonable prices we will be back again! Pro tip, while their fries are solid, their potato chips were the clear winner.. Get the chips! read more

Today I ate at this place for the first time, and it was amazing. First of all the decor is beautiful and classy. I got the portobello melt sandwich with waffle fries. The sandwich was delicious and had so much flavor. The waffle fries were normal, but they were still delicious. I would definitely return for this vegetarian sandwich. read more

This is the only review you will need to read. There are the two things you need to know. 1) The food is amazing. I've had the Californian and the Shirt Rib sandwich with sour cream and onion chips. Don't skip out on the drinks either! The quality is superb and you are getting above and beyond the "bang for your buck". 2) The service is impeccable. Arris and Christain will take care of you. They are warm people and incredibly welcoming. You can't find a better place to spend you money and time!! read more

This review is a long time coming but I just wanted to say that they have excellent sandwiches and drinks! I'm a fan of their cubano. The sandwiches come with a side of chips or a salad and the chips are homemade. I like the spicy barbecue ones the best. Alex served us and he was very helpful and kind, amazing service. Will definitely be back. read more

Chicken Philly sandwich was on point. The fries are great too. I am actually craving one now. I usually have a hunch if a restaurant/food establishment will be in business in the next year or two. This one, I am confident to say, it will. Only thing they need to work on, is getting delivery companies to deliver to my home. But yes, this place will definitely stay in my rotation. read more

I got the Cubano sandwich which was decent. I actually went for the homemade chips but they were too greasy to eat. Very disappointing. So obsessed with Ballston Quarter tho. read more

Went in expecting too much since I saw the 5-star review on Yelp. Ordered the Steak and Cheese Sandwich with BBQ chips. Flavor was good, but this is not a philly cheese steak at all. Size of the sandwich is on the smaller side, nowhere near the size it should be tbh. I'm sure this place is a cool drink & vibes kinda place, but the food by itself is just okay.. read more

They have incredible customer service. My daughter made a mistake on her order and they replaced it for free, no questions asked. They even brought it to her on the other side of the building. The fresh chips are addictive. The sandwich bread is very tasty and soft. I'm picky when it comes to the bread used in sandwiches. read more

This place is so unassuming, but their food is just straight up delicious! I've been here twice and received stellar service each time. Best sandwiches around! So glad this place opened up. They have high quality sandwiches at affordable prices. Sandwiches Come with fries or house chips. I want to try them ALL! Normally not a huge sandwich guy, the bread usually kills it for me and reminds me of how bland the food is and how much empty calories they have, but this right here is different. My friend brought me here and told me to try the Californian cuz I love me some avocado and bacon (very good combo imo) and this sandwich did it for me. Unlike most sandwich places the bread wasn't the focus of the sandwich, it was packed with lettuce, avocado, tomato, mayo and bacon. I finished the whole thing before my friend even got halwa through his. The fresh made chips were also something that stood out to me, chips from a bag just aren't the same. Tried Superette before a movie in Ballston and it was excellent. Had the Cuban sandwich and cheesesteak, and the fried Oreos for dessert and all were delicious. The cheesesteak was the best in terms of sandwiches, with a proper amount of cheese, steak, and bread. Also had the waffle fries which were on point. The Cuban was not the best I've ever had, but worthy of eating again. And the fried Oreos were exactly as expected - sweet , melty, and decadent. Overall, a great place to grab a bite! read more

Superette opened a few months ago in Ballston Quarter (lower level food court) and I NEED more people to know this is an option! Their whole vibe is gourmet sandwiches + good craft cocktails, and they deliver JUST THAT The sandwiches are out of this world and are loooaded with the meatzz I genuinely can't pick a favorite but my top two were the Short Rib and the Italian. I also tried all four cocktails and they were each so tasty (frosé was my fav ) read more

Great food with great prices. Would have gotten a second sandwich if I wasn't so full, so I just came back the next day. The Reuben and Short rib are both amazing. The fries and chips are also amazing and from what they say made in-house. Relief to have a place like this in the Ballston mall. Like an oasis in the desert. read more

Ballston Quarter needed a good sandwich spot and Superette doesn't disappoint. We tried burgers and the short rib sandwich and both were delicious. The burgers were the "old fashioned" kind with no nonsense fixings. Juicy and yummy. The short rib sandwich was unique and delicious with plenty of unctuous rib meat. House made chips are superb - thick, warm and nicely seasoned (not too much - the potato flavor shines through). We tried fries with one order and will skip them next time. They are OK, but the chips are so much better. read more

Came during the day for a late lunch. Food came out quickly. I ordered the short rib with fries. My friend had the portabello mushroom sandwich with fries. We both enjoyed our meals. My short rib was a tad dry but tasty. I'm not a condiments person so I didn't add any sauces. I also ordered the fried Oreos to go and they were soooo good. There's other things on the menu I want to try. I would definitely come back. read more
