Summer always does a Great Job on my haircuts! Customer for at least 10 years and she is the best so far!

Worst barber we've been too. The lady cutting hair said it was extra $$ to spray water in the hair to help cut better!?? Then she said it's was $10 extra to cut the hair a little shorter. We had the older lady cut hair and would not recommend at all ! read more

This Supercuts is awful. I made an appointment for 6:10 when they were closing at 7:00pm. I made the appointment at 6:05 after I was able to get off work early and made it in time. I called the store as I was running 3-4 minutes late the hairdresser only one in the store by the way refused to help me and condescendingly told me to check into the iPad and after I tried re checking in at 6:15 it said the appointments were full today and she said sorry and acted like it was not her problem. I know stylist are exhausted but a man's haircut does not take a ton of time and I have come consistently to this Supercuts and was hoping I could get my haircut with my limited time I have available but because I was 4-5 minutes late this employee couldn't be bothered. Very discouraging I won't be going to Supercuts again. The whole experience made me feel that I was a number and not a person and it was really discouraging that 3-4 minutes is not something the hairdresser could have accommodated instead I was laugh at and talked down to. Just moved to a new home and went here for first time. This supercut store is in best location of neighborhood. Checked in online and got appointment for 1.5 hour further. Seems to be busy always. Assistants were super good on arrival. My hair stylist Britney was super nice. She knew how and what to do even without any notes. read more

I have gone to this location a couple of times as it's the closest to my house. With each haircut I've gotten, I've never really been 100% happy with it. So in that case, I guess it's my fault that I keep going back. I guess I was trying to give the other stylist a chance since the location is so convenient. Each time I have gone, I come home and have to fix it myself which I shouldn't have to do. I rarely complain about my hair because it grows back really fast and I'm not one to say anything or complain to the stylist as I'm too nice to even say anything. It makes me feel uncomfortable when I have to complain about your craftsmanship when you're supposed to be a professional at it. So I just suck it up and say nothing...hoping that the next haircut or stylist will be better next visit. But this recent visit has got to be the worst haircut from here. Don't get me wrong the lady (name starts with Ser...) who cut my hair was very nice and lovely. But the cut was just unbelievable! I paid $34, a $10 tip included. She went so short on my double Cowlicks on the back corner of my head. So now the hair won't lay flat which will take time to grow out and has a huge dip that isn't blended well. Other things seemed off like spraying my head with so much water that the water was running down my face...but anyway I don't want to get nitpicky with the other stuff. You can see how messy, uneven, and chopped up my hair looked including both sides. Look at the pictures I provided. It looked worse in person! Mind you, she told me to come back to her for a future haircut because now she knows how to cut my hair and to give her a good review. I feel bad writing this review but if this will help any guy who is looking for a decent haircut to decide...then so be it. Simple advice! Avoid this place, heck even the desert-ridge location sucks! I mean just imagine if you had somewhere important to go to the next day or attending an event or whatever. Totally a waste of money. I will never step foot in Supercuts ever again. I have been cutting my hair at Supercuts since 2010 way back when I still lived in Hawaii. Not all of them are terrible but if you do go here please communicate and choose your stylist wisely. Just for reference: The last picture of me is how I usually cut my hair. I showed up like that today with it just being more overgrown on the sides and back. I asked for a 1-2 inch trim on top and a 2 (clippers) on the sides. There was no way I was going to show up to work with my hair that way tomorrow. So I had to go get it fixed at a whole different salon. They were baffled! Thankfully they were able to salvage the disaster and give me something decent. That cost me another $35. Which I guess is fine since I now have found a salon that has highly trained professionals. They have so much care with their craftsmanship and are experts. They even gave me a consultation about what could be done to my hair and communicated with me on the whole process. Blessing in disguise I suppose! read more

This Norterra location once was my Go-To spot...After a few years (I now get my haircut in Buenos Aires, while working, as they have the Best reputation for hair salons in all the land!) I was in a pinch for an upcoming wedding...my hair was in dire need of a trim. Jen, the Manager was my girl, but I just booked on a Sat for a trim w the New Manager, Summer. 0 and I mean, Zero personality/customer service...5 words were spoken... She gave a basic trim, and then was Curt w me, as I was looking for the New app, all while she kept mentioning using the QR code...not at the check out, but, at her work station...WTF?! Of, course the points I had were Not Valid at this location...as if I am attempting a RIP off, when I saw them in my app?!?! The Salon is clean, though Not a Soul in the business other than myself and the Manager cutting my hair. Not too long ago, you could Never get a weekend appt...Now I Know Why All times were available!! Work on your Employees, Supercuts, cause if Summer is the Manager...this location is doomed. read more

It's hard to find someone to cut my hair they always chop too much off. But summer was extremely nice and listened to exactly what I wanted.

Essence was the definition of a caring and professional stylist. When I walked in, she was helping an older disabled man and the amount of patience and sincerity she showed this client was amazing and inspiring. Not only did my hair turn out just as I requested, I left feeling brighter than when I walked in. Will definitely be keeping up with my appointments. read more

Absolutely worst customer service in person and over the phone. They act like they hey hate their job and don't want customer. Stay away.

On Thursday May 11th this year, I went in to get a hair & color (highlights) with coupon they told they couldn't do the cut & color together on Thursday, I thought was a little strange but they do the color on Friday, I said ok not thinking about it on Friday I went in and said I have a coupon and Summer told me sorry it's not good on Friday only Monday- Thursday but I told them that I was told they couldn't do both on Thursday. So paid for full price. Meanwhile I like the cut but the color is a little to dark BUT my biggest complaint is Summer did not the dark hair color off of my face.. and It was so embarrassing I had to go out in public with dye all over my face.. I won't ever go back to that place again!!!! read more

Don't go here. Tried to get a buzz cut for my boy half an hour to closing his cuts never take more than 15 mins, 1 person walking around cleaning other with a client, they refused to take him because they are half way to close? So they can't be working on someone when they have to clean up during open hrs? Idk maybe i got a strong work ethic but open hrs are for cutting hair then the salon should pay for you to clean after hrs? Don't go here when Jen is on duty. She is brash and curses in front of children. She also just takes whatever client she wants. Luckily we got a nice stylist who was great with my daughter. Our regular hair stylist is on vacation from another Supercuts store and my husband needs a hair cut, I called in to ask if Jennifer was available due to the pretty good reviews. The women that answered the phone did not state her name, I asked if Jennifer was available and misheard her by accident, she became very rude. She went from being somewhat nice, to a louder tone being condescending. I apologized when I realized she stated Jennifer was not available until 2:40PM, when I thought she stated there was open availability until then. my mistake! I was nice, apologized & not rude In any way, I said so sorry, have a good one! And thank you, she said uh huh and hung up. So rude.. you are in the customer service business, learn to be nice, especially when I was being kind. read more

This place is the WORST with customer service. Remember you, as the stylist are doing a DISERVICE to the customers when you are not professional. It does not matter if you can't handle the phone ringing or you feel so overwhelmed, you cannot even do your job without foul language. Deena, please take some classes on how to manage your anger and not be such a jerk. When you go to work, you are supposed to display an upbeat, positive attitude. I wish you the best in the future. Well I work here and I absolutely love my job! The stylists that I work with are fun, upbeat and also love their jobs too. Our manager is great. She is always willing to help you with any hair service that you may not be comfortable with. She is encouraging and very supportive. I have only met the owners once but they were very nice. I think that they are pretty good to us. Erica is our district manager. She is really cool but also very professional. This is a great place to work and I hope to be here a long time. read more

Nick knows his stuff! He approached me out while I was getting lunch and told me he could fix up my bad hair cut. I'll be honest I was a little offended at first, but he quickly offered to fix it up free of charge...so I really couldn't be upset! Brittany and Jen do such an amazing job with hair. Jen religiously cuts my husbands hair so good he doesn't go to anyone else. She even trims men's eyebrows if you didn't know, that was a thing. Brittany recently cut my daughters hair who has really sensitive scalp issues and is in elementary school. My daughter raved about Brittany and she only wants her forever. Plus I went to Brittany for a color correction and was amazed at her attention and understanding. The color came out great and I'm so happy I went to her. read more

I got a cut here today and the stylist was very sweet and nice. She talked a lot and did a lot of cutting. Which would've been ok with me if it wasn't so choppy and uneven. The left side is noticeably longer than the right side. Not sure how she didn't see that. And the framing around my face isn't even whatsoever. I came home and cried. I will be going back in the morning to have them redo it or get my money back. I'm nervous to even have them fix it honestly. read more

This is my third time here. For every visit I've encountered the older stylist Leslie (I think that's her name). The first visit was to touch up my pixie, Leslie checked me and and was awkward but fine, then a middle aged male stylist did that and was awkward and had a strange attitude but the cut was fine. Second visit was just for my 7 year old, Leslie again was awkward (you can tell she's not great with kids, or at least other people's kids) and rude about my son's Bosnian last name. Brittany took care of his cut and was FABULOUS with us both. This time I needed both my 7 and 5 year olds hair cut. Leslie checked us in, repeatedly scoffing at my son's first and last name even though it was already in the system and she was looking right at it. Brittany took my 5 year old and as expected was awesome. Leslie took my 7 year old and spent the entire time mocking his name and reprimanding him when he was doing nothing wrong. She repeatedly mocked his name, which is Arabic for Abraham, over and over. I will NEVER let that woman near my children again. My children rarely run into that kind of treatment because they are half European and look Caucasian but being first born with a Bosnian father, his name has Arabic origin and I was absolutely disgusted at how absurdly ignorant this woman behaved. Bigotry is abhorrent and while I'm grateful my sons avoid most of it I can't imagine how another family with darker skin than ours or even just more foreign names would have been treated by her. I was greatful to Brittany who I quietly asked if we could just request only her going forward. She is the only reason I'll ever go back. read more

Super rude!! The guy who gave me a haircut, Philip, is definitely someone who shouldn't be in this line of business if he doesn't know how to be courteous to his customers. He snapped at me (oh yes..he did) for taking an extra minute to explain what i wanted and said that I wasn't being clear. And then later in the guise of making conversation he commented about a child who came in saying that that child sounded possessed! I should have walked out. I regret not having done that. First of all, I want to say that I have been using this place for over two years. Usually, I go to Colleen, but Jennifer and Phillip have cut my hair. Also all FIVE of my family members use this salon. I walked in yesterday to get a haircut to find that Colleen and Brittany are not returning after the lockdown, and Phillip has already moved out of town. The salon was not busy so I felt okay about being in there. As a regular customer I had received both email and texts regarding all the rules, precautions being taken, etc. Stylists were wearing masks and arrangements were made for spaced seating in both waiting area and the Stylist's chairs. Sounds okay, right? Well, Jennifer's sullen attitude was a surprise. She was just sitting and acted like I was disturbing her when I asked if she could cut my hair! She acted like she really didn't want to be there. When I inquired about how she was doing she remarked that the owner had received a Payroll Protection loan so they were paid while they were closed, but they weren't making tips, etc. Customers are required to wear masks, but a young man walked in without one and they told him he could hold a towel over his face while his hair was cut...WHAT?? Also, I was advised via email that they would be using disposable capes...NOT! I have been super cautious since early March due to my age and being a two-time cancer survivor so I wasn't totally with the situation. That, coupled with Jennifer's attitude helped me make the decision not to go back to this salon. All FIVE of us will go elsewhere. read more

I just got a lot of my hair chopped off today and the length was great! I'm not a picky person when it comes to haircuts but today's haircut was bad. I asked her to add very subtle layers, and that I didn't want it choppy, but it looks very uneven and layers are uneven and choppy. One side of my head is also thinner than the other. They now do color and I can honestly say, this has been the best job I have ever had. Ashly cut and colored my hair and I am ecstatic. She is honest and told my I only needed a partial on my highlights/lowlights and when I would ask my previous stylist at another salon, they would always tell me they couldn't and I had to pay for the full. I finally got fed up with paying almost $200.00 every time I went in to my previous salon and thank goodness, I found Ashly. She's the best. read more

Jen is the best! I've been coming here for over 10 years, and I don't go anywhere else. Their online registration system works flawlessly. Jen, Philip, and Colleen are very friendly and a fun group to be around. Also, I've noticed that they are great at adjusting their communication style to that of their customer. Have never had a bad cut here. Supercuts is definitely above the rest of their class when it comes to quality and customer service - it's worth the premium over the $7.95 cuts. Was happy to hear that my favorite hair cut professional, Phillip, was back! When I called to check in, I spoke with a Jackie, who seemed to not understand what I meant when I asked to be but on Philips waiting list. When she finally acknowledged that she had added me to Philips list, I asked how long it would be. She said 6:30pm. The entire conversation with Jackie felt like she was annoyed having to deal with the phone call. It came off as rude! When I walked into the salon, Philip was just checking out a customer. He seemed surprised to see me because I always call in advance and he was surprised to see that I walked in and I was not on his list. Jackie never bothered to add me to Philips list!!! I ended up having to wait for people who checked in ahead of me! Philip was fantastic and professional as always, but I did observe what might have been the root of the problem. There was no receptionist! Every time a new customer walked in or the phone rang, Philip or Jackie had to stop their work on people's hair to help the new customers. It made it impossible for them to be efficient and probably very difficult to do a good job. The customers waiting backed up! More people left than stayed because of the growing wait. This business lost more in a single hour in missed business than a receptionist would have cost for the whole day! It is great that they brought back Philip! But now this business needs to bring back a receptionist to handle the volume of business that Philip brings! read more

I was very pleased with Lynsey for cutting and coloring my hair on Saturday after this CoronaVirus shut down. Lynsey and Jennifer were great and professional during the entire time. They were busy taking care of their clients and handling the calls for appointments. Please give these ladies respect during this difficult time when they are short handed. Since I've moved here to Arizona in the past year Supercuts at the happy valley location has been the only place I've gone to get my hair cut because of jackèe. I will never ever be mad about the 35min drive to the store location or having to wait if jackèe's the one taking care of me. I'm never disappointed whether it's a trim, something new, or just some brow maintenance. She always exceeds expectations, especially considering 9 times out of 10 she's very quick and precise. Her work speaks for itself, and she has a great presence and knows what to say to keep a good conversation going. One of a kind for sure! read more

I have been a customer of SC for years in California. Stopped into this location while visiting Phoenix. Worst mistake!! A woman with blue hair and what looked like a piece of a black pipecleaner in her nose just butchered my hair. I asked for a trim and heard the GodAwful crunching sound of huge chunks of my hair being lopped off. The result, one side of my head cropped short and the other side looking like a wall of hair in comparison. Shock is an understatement how bad this is. I had to go to a salon and essentially shave my head to try to get my hair a chance to grow back again. Sides way too short, back way too long, just a disaster!
