Three employees were sitting down chatting away while I waited for my appt. I went because i wanted to cut my hair into a long bob but my consultation specialist looked at my hair and said my hair was fried. There was nothing he could do, I was so confused. I said, I'm not here to dye my hair. I'm here for a haircut. He said, I know. You need keratin and once your hair gets healthy I could try. Out of curiosity I asked, if I get my hair back to "healthy " again. I asked who he would recommend and he said nobody here. I was shocked and to be honest, I was so over the consultation that I awkwardly laughed and promised him I'd be back. He could honestly care less. I wasn't too irritated because it smelled like hard boiled eggs or broccoli in there. Not to mention, The older woman at the front desk was hella grumpy as well. I figured, if I'm going to spend $3-400 somewhere... I'd rather not spend it there thank you Looking at there reviews.. maybe they just don't serve latinas. Idk. ‍

My hair was colored significantly darker than what we discussed, and instead of the face framing I specifically requested, I was given a very blunt cut. When I reached out afterward to express my concerns, my messages were ignored. Eventually, I was asked to come back in to discuss the situation, but instead of taking responsibility or trying to find a reasonable solution, I was told there would be no refund, no recut, and no attempt to lighten or correct the color. What was most upsetting was the way I was spoken to during the conversation. I was told, "Who do you think you are?" and "What world do you live in?" I was also told that I did not deserve a correction. Mistakes can happen in the beauty industry, but what matters is how a professional handles them. I would have appreciated an honest conversation, an attempt to correct the work, or even simply being treated respectfully. Instead, I was left with hair that was very different from what I requested and felt completely dismissed when I tried to address it. Based on both the result and the way my concerns were handled, I would not return and cannot recommend this hairdresser.

I arrived on time for my 2pm appointment and was greeted by Thanh and seated immediately. I showed him the pictures again. Then he asked me if I wanted to shampoo my hair, which I agreed to. Then we got straight to work. At the end of my cut, he made sure I liked the result, to which I asked for my bangs a bit shorted and he readily obliged. I paid $45 (excluding an additional tip) in cash, but I didn't inquire further if they also accept card or if there's an additional fee for paying by card. I looked around the salon for a menu of costs of services, which he said there wasn't one. No problem, I plan on coming back for haircuts only anyway which I know are $45! Otherwise, I'll text him personally asking for other services if I want them! All in all, I was in and out the door at 2:00 and 2:30 respectively, literally (I looked at the clock). I was so happy with my haircut, especially for the price AND quick in/out time. Thank you Thanh for your amazing work!!!

For years I tried, failed and dealt with the pain and suffering that comes with bad, fried hair. But no one ever said a drastic change couldn't happen in one process... until Tonia advised me and I trusted her to go with it! I reached out to Amanda this morning with a picture that clearly shows not only the fried hair but the horrible cut and asked for a refund. The response I got wasn't even from her and didn't even have a name on it. They just made another appt for me to come back in!! Why would anyone in their right mind go back after Amanda did such a horrible job and wouldn't even respond to my request for a well-deserved refund? There's $400 down the drain!!! Book an appt at your own risk!! Update: The manager, still don't know their name, offered me a refund for the haircut, the cheapest service. I agreed to the cut and tip to be refunded. But, Im still out $300 for burned, shabby looking hair. No apologies from the stylist or the salon. I just received a response from the owner on Google. In response to the owner, it looked fine when I left. Amanda hot ironed and you couldn't see the chopped cut. So, it does reflect perfectly. I tried to mask my hair at my own cost, why would I let a stylist touch my hair again after she did that? YOU would never accept that for your own hair, why should I?
