I took two of my kids in at 6:30, I know right before closing. My daughter had had mats in her hair for not brushing it properly or washing the soap out, I had been combing out her hair 5 days and it was finally looking good and she needed it professionally washed and cut/thinned. I knew she still had a couple places with crusted up soap in it, but a good shampoo would take care of that. As soon as Aira saw the crusted sticky shampoo she claimed my daughter had lice and couldn't cut her hair. I would have noticed lice in the last 5 days that I've been painstakingly brushing and combing each dreaded up mat in her hair! Once I got home I checked again, NO LICE! Instead of lying to the customer about lice, she could just have said "Sorry this is going to take longer than the 30mins before closing" Done deal, no hurt feelings and we'd come back another day, now I'll take my kids elsewhere. read more

This place employs people who know nothing about cutting hair. Despite telling the stylist what I wanted, with a picture, she butchered my hair! It took years for me to grow it out to a mid length Bob and she butchered it into practically nothing. Despite another stylist trying to salvage the cut, it is uneven, completely too short, and straggly. Seriously, it's gonna take months and months for this hair cut to remedy itself. read more

You know, if you're going to offer an appointment service, such as a scheduled haircut, then you need to at least attempt to meet the schedule. People have other schedules they have to meet. The reason that customers USE this service, is to MAYBE help them for convenience. If a mother of three schedules an appointment at a certain time, yet she still has to wait for another hour and a half before she gets any help, then that's just taking advantage. Shame on you. I went to get a haircut yesterday and unfortunately walked out with botched hair. I had asked for a trim and some face framing layers in the front. I was told the reason was cause my hair is so straight and then was told it was because I part my hair on the side. The reality was that the girl who cut my hair messed up and didn't know how to fix it. Even her colleague didn't even know how to fix it. I didn't pay. It was awful. I didn't get the name of the stylist but she claimed she was the "assistant manager". Pay the extra money and go some where with more experience and reputation. read more

Today I was helped by Kat, who did a wonderful job at washing and massaging my scalp. When it came to the hair cut she asked me how much I'd like off and I just told her I trust her judgement. My100th review and I'm spending it on Supercuts... Moral of the story if you don't want to read my detailed diatribe: Good for men who need simple cuts and have $16 to spare, not so awesome for ladies who will end up with an $81 cut and color. Onward... I had been getting teased by my coworkers for days on my heinous roots. I finally gave in and impusively made an appointment to get my hair cut and colored after work. My husband had been going to the stylist for his simple cuts, and I'd met her before and liked her, so figured why the heck not. My appointment was at 5:15 and sat down in the chair at that exact time. My stylist was also working on another girl, who while I was getting colored was having her color set. I wasn't a fan of this juggling act, but that's how Super Cuts makes their money, right? By squeezing in as many people as possible? Anyway. My color (black) was put on in quite possibly the most sloppy manner I'd ever seen. Worse than what I'd done myself. I've once ended up leaving a salon with an Eddie Munster widow peak shadow of black dye, but never have I been so splotched in so many places. My stylist used her special remover several times to try and take of the stains...perhaps she should have wiped immediately after the dye got on my face, neck, and ears rather than let it sit while my hair soaked in the dye for 35 minutes. The color turned out just fine, aside from the "black freckles" I'm now having to cover with 8 layers of foundation. Moving on... I'd brought several pictures of the hairstyle I wanted and showed them to my stylist before we started chopping, taking of over a year's worth of growth. My cut is pretty close to what I'd requested, but it ended up more soccer mom and less fringy/flirty than I was expecting and wanted. I'll make the cut work for now, but I'm already scheduling an appointment at the end of this month with an ACTUAL salon to get this cut where I want it to be. Price tag...*sigh* I regretted going to Super Cuts at that point, when my grand total rang up to $81. Price breakdown... Appointment Fee: $3 Cut: $13 Color: around $50 Blowdry & style: $15 Stupid a la carte structure. I should not have assumed that if you got your hair cut & colored that blow drying was included...my stylist asked if I wanted my hair dried and I thought "well, duh! I don't want to go home with a wet mop!". $15...UGH. Coloring was more than their base price because I have a lot of hair and it was down to my armpits; she had to color it all through (not just the roots) and then she chopped it off. I really wish in cases like that they would cut the hair first and then dye, since I would have gotten charged less for less material being needed. As for ambience..music choice is good, and the coversation with my stylist was free flowing and didn't feel forced. But the place is so not pretty. Crumbs on the waiting area table. Splices of hair just builidng up in corners on the floor and on the backs of the waiting room benches. I know these might seem like minute complaints, but it's an obvious fix that has an easy solution. Will my husband keep going to Supercuts? Maybe. The stylist who has done both of our noggins is moving in two weeks, so we'll see if the gal that was recommended (Rosie, the manager) is what my hubby likes in a haircutter. Me? Nope. I'll be sticking to actual hair salons/spas/clean & serene places that don't have children screaming. Also, I know for a fact that I can get a cut and color for a lesser price at a "real" salon, so, thereyougo. OH...and this is a franchise store. It is not a corporate owned one, like a Santa Clarita location. Therefore, these cosmetologists are trained differently than the barbers that are at the corporate locations. So often styling chains will leave you wanting. This one does not, because this one has Diamond! Diamond is wonderfully skilled at helping me look my best. As a realtor, this is important. She is a artist with how she manages my locks, and a sculptor with my eyebrows, without leaving me looking, or feeling, less masculine. She is just as adept at helping my wife, and my daughter, look their best. She is wonderful with their longer hair as well. Diamond is quite attentive to the needs of her clients. read more

Went to get haircut to be donated and had more than 15 inches. The lady only cut 10 inches to donate and then wasted the other five inches even though she was told the length was perfect. Afterward, the "stylist" handed the hair and said they don't send the locks to be used for cancer patients. Needless to say, NEVER again! read more

It will have to be shaved with hopefully a blended come over in front. So I hate to say it but I'm EXTREMELY picky! I had a regular stylist who is the only one I let cut my hair but she moved and I have been so disappointed by everyone since! I decided to try supercuts and ended up getting a girl named Diamond. Of course I was sceptical but she explained exactly what she was going to do and really made me feel at ease. She even talked me into color (which I don't do) We talked and she was so friendly that the time flew by and when she finally let me see the finished product I was AMAZED!!! I looked 10 years younger! (Well maybe only 5) lol. It was perfect! I was so surprised to find someone so capable at a local supercuts! She also talked me into some really great products, I didn't realize how much better than the store bought stuff that they were! I highly recommend anyone to go see Diamond! This location is pretty great! I'm satisfied with the haircut they gave me. Debbie is very friendly and helpful, I went in to get a fade and a combover, and she did an awesome job at leaving it the way I wanted it. She also let me try out some gels to find the kind I was looking for. When I go back I'll try and get her to cut my hair again...I'm not sure and can't comment about the wait times bc I went in around 8:25 pm and there was no one in line. But overall my visit was satisfactory and I'm sure to come and get my hair cut here again! read more

Went to get a simple haircut. Trimmer used everywhere so really nothing complicated. I asked to have my sideburns thinned out in terms of puffiness, not length or width. For the most part the haircut is fine. However the sideburns were completely botched. The one is pretty much ok just thinner than I wanted. The other one was essentially shortened by half. Now I have to shave the normal looking one so at least I'm symmetric. I have had dozens of haircuts, all the same, different people, never had an issue. This was literally the worst haircut I've ever gotten and my mom used to cut my hair growing up. I doubt I'll be going back to this location. I moved to Antelope Valley about a year ago and it was hard finding the right professional, patient, knows what shes doing hair stylist to cut my 6 year old's hair without screwing up and leaving bald spots and making him cry and making him cry. I made an appointment for my soon to be 3 year old son. Waiting 5 minutes all seems good until... Ieata the hair dressers name cuts my sons hair, I wanted a comb over and she gave my son a fucking bald spot on the side of his head and didn't even finish lining up the other side of his head. I'm LIVID, if you can't handle a toddler maybe you should stick to the folks that don't move around. I would not recommend this chick to anyone hell I'd give it a no star if I could. I just got my haircut to donate it. And it's supposed to be at least 10 inches well I asked for 12 off . And as soon the stylist , Romona, cut my hair she started cutting more and more off. I specificically asked for it to be mid-shoulder length. And she proceeded to cut off at least another 4 inches. I now have a bob instead of hair to my shoulders. I will never go back there. She's been cutting my hair for a couple years now, I've recommended her to several close friends and she now cuts my 7 year old sons hair because he hated the local childrens shops.
