Came to this place with an appointment. I was running a bit late. Mia called and asked how long until I come in and I said 5 mins. Which I was already on the way. When I got to the place Mia said she wouldn't take me. I left the place calmly. She should have told me over the phone that she couldn't take care of me. Very unprofessional. I think what really happened was that I was profiled(brown person) based on what I was wearing and I had my daughter. Which that's another thing they are NOT found of kids. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE! read more

Great customer service and very friendly. Mia cut my hair and helped show me what it what look like before cutting it. She also gave me great advice what would look best and all at a reasonable price! read more

I get my cuts when I go here from George and he does a great job. Most guys would say it's pricey but I only get my haircut every 6-9 months so it works out perfect for me to spend a little extra each time. Plus he's a great guy and we get along very well. He's someone I trust very much to get the job done right and I don't need to give him a lot of input. read more

Been here a handful of times now, and all-in-all this place is just OK. Every time I've been here, from hair cuts to color/highlights, Mia has been the one to perform the service. The last time I got a haircut with Mia, she didn't offer any advice or suggestions. The cut came out ok, but it left my hair feeling flat. It's difficult to schedule a time that works for me when Mia is available, and the prices are a bit on the high side for what you get. I'm not sure I feel comfortable having anyone else doing my hair (definitely not Taylor, according to a lot of the other reviews), so I went with a different hair salon that is more affordable and does just as good of a job, if not better. read more

The place is clean and people seem nice, but the hair stylist didn't listen. I said I wanted a perm with big loose curls. Not tight curls specifically said - No poodle perm and she did damn poodle perm curls. Paid over 200 dollars for something I specifically said I didn't want. I hate how my hair looks now. Will never return. Now I have to pay another stylist (not from there) to fix this crappy hair. If you don't know how to do the perm I ask for than tell me you can't do it. Don't miss represent your skill level by lying to me and telling me you can do the perm I asked for. I trusted your expertise, but that expertise was falsely represented. read more

It had been about a year since I had cut and colored my hair because of being pregnant, so I was looking forward to getting it done. I went to DiClemente because of all the good reviews, biggest mistake. I had my hair done by Maddie, I showed her the pictures of how I had my hair before, and what I wanted, she agreed. Letting Maddie do my hair was the biggest mistake, she cut my hair uneven and it was not even close to what I asked for. If she couldn't do my hair how I asked, she should have said so, but instead she did whatever she wanted and was quick to take my money. I had to spend even more money to have it fixed. read more

For no reason he could explain, George DiClemente covered my beautiful white hair with brown demipermanent color, leaving me blond with brown, orange, and yellow patches. When I went back for a correction, he scrubbed my head with ammonia, which broke the hair off at the scalp but didn't fix the color. Just beware and go elsewhere. And no, they refused to give any refund. read more

George does an amazing work with color and cut. I've had my hair done by Sandra Diclemente as well and she also does an excellent job! I've been getting my hair done by George for over 25years!!! His work is amazing!!! read more

Melissa is a very nice young lady, and I believe she really tried to do a good job. I asked for highlights and lowlights. I showed her a photo of what I wanted done. It took her over three hours. She did some highlights, but made the rest of the hair just dark. She did not leave any in between. There are very, very few highlights, and the rest is just very dark. (When she was rinsing the hair, did she let the highlights get mixed with the dye from the low lights? I don't know.) After dying my hair, she had to leave toner on for 15 minutes. Is that because the color was brassy? I don't know. I've not had somebody have to use toner before. Honestly, my hair really pretty much looks as though I died it myself out of a bottle. I'm very disappointed. When she gave me the bill of $185, for only dying my hair and no hair cut, I just about fell over. (Yes it took her over three hours; however, most stylists do my hair in 90 minutes and do a great job!) I've never had somebody take so long to dye my hair and cut it both! I know she was trying to do a good job, she just needed to have more highlights, and leave some of the current color, and add some low lights. I felt like I had a beauty school student. She was very sweet, and most likely good at other styles, but I won't be back. read more

I highly recommend DiClemente Salon in Palmdale. I've been going there for over 10 years now and they always do a wonderful job! They're also so nice and accommodating. Today my stylist had a family emergency and had to cancel last minute. Sandra, one of the owners, was able to take me on the spot before her next appointment. I was very impressed and really appreciated her doing that! read more

Super happy with the haircut I got from Taylor. Not a lot of small talk, which is perfect if you're like me and prefer to relax instead of chitchat. She gave a great scalp massage while she washed my hair. I was a little vague with what I wanted but she checked in at every step and it came out perfect. Highly recommend. read more

After reading all the reviews I decided to call salon and schedule a same day appointment (I was sure it was not going to happen) but to my surprise they were very polite on the phone and scheduled me with Mia. I was having a bad day and came in with a few pictures and did not even know what I wanted to do with my hair. Mia listened to me and advised me what would work best for me. She took her time cut, colored and styled my hair. I loved the final result! Price was reasonable and I have gotten so many compliments on my hair! read more

The customer service is wonderful. But the actual service was not. I scheduled a haircut specialized for curly hair. The stylist cut my hair but made my curls worse. Her attempts to style my hair weren't the best. I left with an Afro rather than curls. The price for the cut was expensive. I thought it would reflect through the style but it didn't. Lesson learned. They might be great with other services but not natural curly cuts. read more

This review is for Miss Hayley! My regular hair stylist (little Sandra) was out of town and I needed a hair cut bad! I was recommended to Hayley and I am a happy customer! My hair was badly fried at the ends and she gave it a beautiful trim and layers. I was ready to cut a lot off but she managed to keep my length and made it very healthy looking/feeling. She took her time and was she was a very pleasant person to talk to. ***to the people who rely on yelp reviews*** Take single reviews lightly. It's the majority that counts. One bad apple can ruin it for everyone. Too many times I have seen people have unrealistic hair color goals and aren't happy with the results in the end. You can't have black hair and get blonde!! I will recommend Hayley to anyone in the Antelope Valley. I live in Valencia and I travel out to Diclemente to get my hair done. It is worth the drive, especially now that I have two stylists I can trust to make my hair beautiful! :) read more

I have been going to DiClemente Salon for about 14 years now! I don't trust my hair to anyone but the staff at this amazing salon! George, the owner has been styling my hair from day one. From long hair to short hair, he has made the transition always easy. Love my new color and cut! Was scared to go blond because I thought it would damage my fine hair.. but it's healthier than ever! I came here because someone that I knew was a customer well the 1st few times I went it was really nice my hair turned up beautiful This last time was not so good. Not only did my hair root touch up turn out wrong but I was charged I was charged $45.00 Dollars more I asked her why I was being charged $45 more and she said it was because she toned my highlights afterwards what she always did before and charged me $90 when I asked her this she was extremely defensive And told me that the $80 that they charge on their menu that was just a starting price. After she did this last route touch up on me she totally wiped out all my highlights that I had except for a few so I told her I was unhappy with my hair she had me come back she looked at it and then she charged me another $30.00 to try and fix my color.. So when I finally asked her why she charged me $135 this time for a route touch up and before the last few times she wanted to charge me $90.00 She became extremely defensive and told me that she was gonna cancel my next appointment which I was going to do anyway because I couldn't trust her to do my hair anymore The hairdresser's name is Mia .very bad Customer Service.. read more

My best friend of 20+ years has been getting her hair done here forever ... I don't know why I didn't come sooner... my COVID hair was just out of control, Sandra was amazing, I have curly hair, not everyone can work with curly hair let's be real, walked in looking like a homeless crackhead walked out feeling like a queen. Thank you so much... will be coming back for sure.. I'm so happy with my hair read more

Fellas, take the hat off and go get a nice hair cut! Men should definitely consider getting their hair cut here. I had always gone to barbers, so I was a bit dubious about getting my hair cut at a salon. George is way better than any barber. I don't know how he does it, but my hair still looks good as it grows out, and I don't need to do much to make it presentable before going out. I have some severe cowlicks around the crown of my head, and if cut poorly it looks like I'm balding (or maybe I'm actually balding and George is great at protecting my ego). Either way, George takes care of this with the way he cuts my hair. He'll analyze the way your hair grows and cut it to work for you. If you're losing your hair, George is skilled enough to cut it so that it looks good anyway. If you want advice on how to stop hair loss and maybe grow it back, George is very knowledgeable and will be happy to dish out some advice while he cuts your hair. Obviously it's more expensive than a barber, but the quality is so much better that it's actually a superior bargain in my opinion. And it's way better than buzzing your own hair and putting a stupid hat on. read more

This place was great! I have been back in the AV for about a year and a half and have yet to find a hair place that I like. But this place is it. My appointment was at 4:30pm and I arrived about 10 minutes early. The receptionist was friendly and directly me to the seating area in the front. Promptly at 4:30 George (the owner) came out to greet me and was very friendly. He asked what I was interested in doing and I explained that I wanted a cut and color. He let me over to his station. I have really long curly hair and my hair was recovering from too much bleach/blonde from about a year ago so it's really dry. George recommended a great color option and suggested this appointment we focus on just getting my hair back and healthy which I really appreciate. I know customers are picky and know what they want but I appreciate when the stylist has to keep it real and tell you what it best for your hair. George was very friendly and the cut/color came out great. I will definitely come back and I also got some great product recommendations. The price was what I expected. I wouldn't say it was cheap but it's your hair and at least for color, I am definitely willing to pay for what I get. Out the door with cut, full color, partial highlights, and a hydration treatment it was $165. Go and ask for George...he's been doing hair for over 20 years and is successful for a good reason! read more

I am very picky about who does my hair. Recently I moved to the AV and was in desperate need of a hair cut. Based on the Yelp reviews for Diclemente, I decided to take the plunge and make an appointment. I could not get in to see George who so many of the Yelp reviewers seem to love, so I took a slot with Gwen instead. She was friendly, very knowledgeable, and gave me an awesome new do!!! I am very happy, my hair is very happy, and I will be returning to Diclemente for all of my hair needs. read more

I used this salon for the first time last week. I had Haley do my roots and she did a great job, very professional and welcoming. The best salon in town! I had left for a while and went elsewhere and would be disappointed with my hair! HAPPY to be back at DiClemente!

Beware! TAYLOR HOOD has horrible energy and a horrible vibe to her, she is very unwelcoming! Even the energy and vibe of the salon is icky. It's very dark with poor lighting, very stark and not enough windows you feel like you're trapped in a little box. Before I even arrived the receptionist was annoying and had called me 3 times that morning trying to change my appointment to an earlier time that I could not accommodate. When I arrived I only witnessed one hair stylist who looked engaged and happy, all the others looked miserable and they were dragging ass. I even over heard a couple stylists complaining about their clients coming in later that day, very unprofessional. TAYLOR personally did my hair and she was god awful, she did not engage me or try to make conversation at all. I tried starting conversation multiple times but it was very clear she was just not open, an entire two hour service in silence is just awkward, rude and unnecessary. There is no excuse, whether you are having a bad day or not you are getting paid to provide a service and you should always try your best to provide your clients with a pleasant comfortable experience and environment. I understand hairstylist are independent workers but the salon should hold their stylists to a higher standard as they are the face of the salon. TAYLOR'S first impression was she's a miserable bitch who hates her job and is just collecting a check. It was very clear by her attitude, demeanor and the way she carried herself. I will never forget how she made me feel in her chair, very unwanted like I was a bother or putting her out of her way on her lovely Saturday afternoon. I would never recommended TAYLOR HOOD or this salon to anyone! read more

Hayley did not take the time or effort to do what I had asked... I wanted a lighter shade than my box dyed black hair. She over processed my hair and I ended up walking out with orange toned fried hair... This was my second time coming here the first time Taylor did my root touch up and Brazilian blow out paid $450 the Brazilian blow out that didn't last more than a month. I went out of town for a couple of months. I saw Taylor for root touch up on 8/18 (I went in with platinum hair, had spent $500 in full highlights 6 weeks prior -abroad) she said my blonde looked yellow and she would put a glaze to make it look nicer. I told her I wanted a shadow root to be closer to my natural hair color on top I had a very small root growth!! She however got rid of my blonde!! She melted the root to the end of my hair, covered 70% of my blonde! My hair was so dark when I told them I didn't like the results they lighten the hair a bit brown. Taylor refused to blow dry my hair and I walked out of there with wet hair. She blamed my hair for the results saying it's too curly and coarse. My hair now is more damaged then ever. If she thought my hair was in no condition to have a service she could've told me. I think she just mixed the wrong formula for my hair. Very dissatisfied. read more

STAY AWAY FROM MADDIE. I came in wanting to dye my hair a caramel color after my roots took over & highlights were pretty much done For since I hadn't dyed my hair in almost a year due to being pregnant. She said I had to bleach my hair since my roots were dark(natural dark brown) which I understood this was at 12 noon. She proceeded to bleach my hair and burn my scalp process took about 2 1/2 hours. Then she added a dye which looked light in the container & while applying but once it oxidized it was dark this process took about an 1 hour. Then she proceeded to trim my hair about 1/2 hour. & stated she couldn't blow dry it due to another client coming in and leaving my hair darker than it was. So she wasted FOUR hours away from my daughter. she BURNED my scalp to leave my hair just as dark as I already had it NOT THE COLOR I ASKED FOR!!! & left my hair uneven. SMH . I went to this salon cause it had amazing reviews. I saw the other workers were fast and did amazing so I was trusting the process & it was horrible. And she charged me 245$ and still hounded me for a tip. RIDICULOUS. I couldn't just added a hair dye on top of what I had for 6.99 and I wouldn't of burned my scalp. I'm still peeling. I have attached 3 photos of when I went in. Of the color I chose & what I got. SMH NEVER AGAIN! read more
