Please, don't get me wrong, I understand people may run off when the service is good and it protects the stylist, but what about the customer that works just as hard for their money to not to get the proper services done. She had to braid my hair and the braids were not small enough and puffy. When the wig was placed on my head, it sat on my head like a hat.(she said the wig was too big) She then proceeded to cut up my wig without placing it on my head first. She used this old glue to which looked like it was for arts and crafts and not hair. She put tons of it on me. She then asked me to hold down my sides, while she proceeded to sew my wig to my scalp! I asked her what she was doing and she says it gives her clients extra security. Well even before I left the wig was coming up! You could see the wig front line because she cut the net all the way to the scalp of the wig so you really couldn't blend it with makeup if you tried. I left her shop hurt, disappointed, disgusted and downright angry that I spent $150 BEFORE this catastrophic experience took place only to have to take it out tomorrow and get it re-done! Some people should just say I can't do those and let it be.  I sat in my car and damn near balled my eyes out for at least an hour. I am down here working and finally proved this is the reason I don't let people do my hair! I would not recommend her for lace front wig installs. My co-workers were all appalled and pissed off right along with me. Although, they had some choice words and said the  things they would have done, but unfortunately I am working and getting locked-up or losing my job is not my plans!  STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS WHEN IT COMES TO LACE FRONT INSTALLS!! THE OWNER EVEN HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME SHE IS THE BEST! Well, if she is the best...... please give me mediocre or the worst! I hope my real hair isn't too damaged. The respectable thing would be to return half of the money, because the pictures shown, if given the opportunity to show another styling professional would say this is not good. Like I said wonderful woman, horrible service, devastating first time hair experience. Pictures taken as soon as I returned from buying a drawstring ponytail for me to wear to work again.

I am really excited to have found this salon! Albert is fantastic. He's cut my fine straight hair…read moreinto a perfect bob three times now, and I can attest to his artistry, craft, and excellence. My story is that my hair is hard to cut: very straight with cow licks all over the place. Plus that, I'm a complete perfectionist. When I first moved to Dallas 26 years ago, there was a lovely old guy at Neiman Marcus who charged me $40 for a fantastic cut. This spoiled me. When he retired, I discovered that hair cuts were a lot more expensive than that, and they weren't always very good. I tried Supercuts, and there was one woman who gave me a decent enough cut, but one that needed styling, if you know what I mean. Then I found a fancy shmancy guy in Dallas do did do an excellent cut, but the cost was prohibitive -- not just for my budget, but for my conscience. Sorry. If I could afford that much for a hair cut, it should be going to charity anyhow. So what to do? I looked up Jon David Salon in Irving, and the woman making appointments recommended Albert. Are you SURE? I asked. My hair is a problem. Yes, she replied. Albert is really really good and he loves doing bobs. The price was moderate -- triple SuperCuts, but not as much as fancy schmancy Dallas places (and I don't like the vibe of those places, anyhow). So although I still have to spread out the appointments more than my hair would like, the cut is so good that it doesn't matter. Albert spent a LOT of time on my hair, and he was really precise. He was totally open to my suggestions (sorry! can't help myself!). He was responsive and honest and, most of all, an expert at what he does. Also he's a really good person. The salon itself is beautiful -- tasteful, not tacky. The vibe is really relaxing and upscale, but not chi-chi-pretentious. I would say more "European." The free parking is convenient in the garage right across the road (a big plus!) and they always ask me if I want something to drink, but I haven't yet had anything because I just want to focus on the hair. Anyhow, everyone is SO friendly and real there -- really a treat to go to! So: thank you, Jon David Salon in Las Colinas! Please do not change ANYTHING. Five stars as is! (And Albert gets ten).

Unfortunately, the wig has started falling apart shortly after, and there were issues with the fit and hairline. When I reached out, I was disappointed that there was no reasonable effort or option offered to correct the problems. I have since had another professional look at the work and am now having to replace the wig. What is especially frustrating is that I'm getting a new wig for a fraction of what I was originally charged. This was a very personal and important purchase for our family, and I feel we were taken advantage of. For the amount I paid, I expected much better quality and customer care. I would not return or recommend this service based on my experience.

Be prepared to spend half of your day for a simple hair service that usually takes four hours or less at other hair salons,(even with a take down and shampoo included).
