I went in for a hair cut today Aug 6 with a coupon from their website in Hurst for a $30 haircut. When i showed it to them they said it wasn't a coupon even though it has an expiration date of Aug 31st. Than they went on to call the manager on the phone to tell me it was only for a man's haircut which as I reminded them didn't say on the coupon. The older lady was was rude and condescending. I finally told them to keep their coupon and walked out. I will never go back there again. Don't try to use their coupons cause it looks like they are used to only get you there and then change the services they want or don't want to give you. Thumbs down all the way. read more

I went in for a perm. I didn't want it kinky curly, but I want some major curls. I wanted a perm, that is not what I got. When I left it kind of looked like it would be a spiral perm, but now that I have washed out the very stinky activator and styled it, it is NOT a perm. The girl was very sweet and I had a good time hanging out there, but if you are looking for a perm, I would try someplace else. I would go for the other services. I guess a perm these days is pretty specialized. read more

This was my first time getting my hair done by Christina and I paid alot for it! The photo i showed her has chunky blonde highlights/sections and there isn't any of those. I could've done this at home and got the sane result. Nice ppl and establishment but she told me she only had 6 months experience and maybe someone more experienced should be coloring hair..?!?! I am updating my complaint regarding Lemontree Hair Salon. My original complaint was focused on concerns about their procedures, even though the owner stated in her response on Google that none of my claims were accurate. All of the details I included in my original complaint are accurate and documented. I wanted to confirm that the owner did indeed speak with me after i called the phone number provided on her statement, not agreeing on my concern. I did not receive an apology or confirmation that my concerns were valid, but I appreciate that at least she was willing to address the problem by fixing my haircut herself at a convenient time. But after careful consideration, I have decided to decline the proposed resolution. My hair was not washed prior to the cut; instead, it was simply sprayed with water. I was informed that my hair would be washed after the cut to ensure evenness. Initially, the result appeared satisfactory. However, after washing my hair at home, I was disappointed to find that the haircut was unprofessional and uneven. While I believe the reviews may not fully reflect the experience, I do feel that this salon is suitable for children and men's styles. For more complex or short hairstyles for women, particularly pixie cuts, I think the staff may lack the necessary training and proper tools. During a follow-up visit to observe the stylists, I overheard a stylist mentioning she owned only one pair of scissors and was unable to perform a pointed cut. I respectfully urge management to address these concerns and ensure staff are adequately trained and equipped. It is not appropriate to charge between $65 and $85 or more for services that do not meet professional standards. First, my consultation was one price. Then the day of my appointment, I was told another. About $60 more. I took examples of what I was looking for. Cut and color wise. Laura said that was no problem. That she could absolutely do what I was looking for. So she started the process. Had to put an all over color first, instead of being able to do the color and highlights at the same time. I had a lot of gray, so i understood why she was doing it the way she did. Did the main color. Then washed out. She cut my hair after the wash. Said she was just cutting some off. That she would finish the actual cut after the highlights. So after the highlights. She finished the cut. Thought she was finishing the style I was looking for. When she finished with everything, I liked it. Thought the color was good. Thought the haircut was good. It was FAR from it!! She had someone waiting for her after she finished with me. So I felt rushed out the door. So I didn't really look over it before I left. Once I was home, I checked everything more thorough. The cut was uneven. It looked like she didn't blend the top and bottom layers together. It looked like she cut the top layers in a straight line straight across. Separating the top and bottom. Then I inspected the color. My highlights don't even go all the way to my scalp. Causing a gap from my scalp to the highlights. I have dark hair, with blonde highlights. So the dark stands out. Now I have about a 1/4 inch of brown showing before the highlights even start. As my hair grows out, I will have gray, then dark, then the blonde showing. It's not going to look good at all. So I called Laura. Explained what I was not happy with. She told me to come in and she would fix it. When I showed her the problem with the highlights, she said she didn't go all the way to the scalp, because it would have caused bleeding (not sure what that means) or burning my forehead. Said she could brush a little blonde on the gap to blend the brown and blonde together better. I thought ok, maybe that will make it look better. She starts to correct the haircut. She does a little. I look at it. Still wasn't right. She kept this up until I just finally said it looked better, just so I could leave. All she did was make it worse. The cut looks awful! My hair is so thin in several places. Other places look like she just chopped at it. Since she messed the haircut up so bad, I didn't want her try to fix the highlights . I just left. I paid WAY too much for my hair to look this bad! I would definitely NOT recommend going there!! read more

If I could give this place a zero stars I would. I made an appointment over the phone the same day and when I got up there, I had to wait an hour to be seen because they were double booked . The haircut that I requested is not the haircut that I received . My hair was down to my lower back, and I showed pictures of the same length, but with a long wispy layers, the lady who cut my hair cut off about 6 inches it looks nothing like the photo that I requested. I don't normally post reviews, and in fact, this is my first one on Yelp and I am leaving it in the hopes that somebody does not make the same mistake and trusting them with their hair. It's going to take me at least a year to grow back the hair, but she cut off. Whenever she completed the job, I did mention that the length was really short, and I felt like she dismissed what I said because she felt it looked good. I was going to take my son to get his hair cut tonight, so I got on my computer and double checked that they still offered discounts for kids on Mon & Tues ($7 instead of $10). They still had the discount, great! My son got the same woman we had last time - she's pretty snippy and not very personable, but for $7 I'm willing to let it slide. We go to check out and she tells me it will be $10. - Oh, but it's Tuesday, so it should be $7, right? - We don't do that anymore. - I looked on your website and it says it's still available. She calls over a woman whom I assume is the owner and fills her in. The owner asks for specific details on what kind of haircut we got (like where she cut and what numbers she used, etc). - We don't offer that discount anymore. - Well I looked on the website today and it's still there. - Did you look on Lemon Tree Hurst? - I just looked on the Lemon Tree website. I looked up LT Hurst on my phone and there was a different list of discounts. Odd. There's one coupon for "$3 off any regular priced haircutting service". Okay, no big deal, I'll use this coupon - it ends up being the same price. I show the owner this coupon on my phone and she tells me it's for the $15 cut. No, it says "any regular priced haircutting service". Anyway, there was more back and forth and basically she said that what I saw earlier was the "company's discount", but she doesn't honor it even though she's a part of that company... Then she wrote down my phone number (instead of just typing it in to find my account, which made me think maybe she was going to put some sort of note or flag on my account later) and spent the next 5 minutes typing and clicking on the computer. Finally I had enough and threw some cash on the counter and walked out. Now, I get it - it's only $3. But not only is that minimal for a company to nickel and dime over, it's 30% of the cost of the service. 30% off at Nordstrom would get me out of bed! For me, it's the principal of the matter. Had full coloring and highlights, haircut and deep conditioning treatment with Becky, after not having been at a hair salon since January 2020 due to business closures during the pandemic. She did a great job with my "Covid long messy dry hair"... :) Thank you for a great job!! Might need my bangs a little shorter and blended with the layers. I will call to ask, since I just gotit done yesterday. That's one reason for the 4 stars, the other is the pricing on Yelp is outdated. Went for a trim. Asked for .5 inch and they cute upwards of an inch and half with extremely choppy layers. The layers did not blend in at all. I am all for saving time but some things you shouldn't, like a hair cut or trim. I was in and out of my chair within 3-5 minutes. I have been coming to this salon for over a year. The quality is superb and the stylists really take their time to make sure your haircut is perfect. I have had cheaper haircuts from other salons that may take less than 5 minutes but always end up regretting that decision. I have had almost every person at this salon and each one gave me a great haircut. Despite all the negative reviews, I chose to listen to the positive ones and BOY was I wrong to do that. I looked at the reviews before booking and had seen so many positive reviews on Megan so I decided to book with her. When I arrived for my appointment, I was barely greeted just asked if I had an appointment and she wasn't very friendly. She told one of the hair "stylist" to take me, which was not Megan like I had originally booked with. Megan hacked up my daughters hair today. The under hair is like 2 inches shorter than the hair on top. Asked for 2 inches total to be cut but obviously she chopped about 4 inches and realized she cut too much and cut the rest 2 inches to try and cover it up. I scheduled an appointment and was contacted the day of to come in 1 hour early which I agreed to. I came in and the stylist wasn't done with the person ahead of me. After about 20 minutes of waiting, she came over to discuss what I wanted done to my hair and didn't seem to understand what I was wanting. It did not inspire much confidence that I would get what I was looking for. She then told me she needed to finish another client so I asked if I could go get food out of my car since I rushed over to accommodate her asking me to come early, just now to wait until my regular schedule time. She seemed happy with that and said she would then have time to do a haircut for a walk-in. I ended up leaving because I didn't feel confident I would get what I wanted and that my time was disrespected. In the future, please don't ask someone to come in early on the day of to then just make them wait and put walk-ins ahead of them. Went here maybe 1.5 years ago and specifically made an appointment with a one hairdresser after alot if research. Got there and was immediately put with whoever was available. No one had names on their desks or introduced themselves so, I thought this was who I scheduled with. But no, it was the only person I did not want to be scheduled with. Her ratings and reviews were horrible. I just told her to stop cutting and finish as best she could. Come ti find out the hairdresser I was supposed to have had a regular client that walked in, so she took them and had the the one standing around take me. Bad business and horrible haircut. The women who work here are incredibly sweet and they made sure every strand was perfect before they were satisfied with letting me out of the chair! I've recently moved from New York City, where there are several Lemon Tree salons, so I was so glad to see one right here in Texas! I recommended my roommate to stop in immediately.
