Came for a woman's haircut with D (name not disclosed for legal reasons) who reviewed and approved…read moremy inspo pic -- it was face framing layers all throughout the body + try to keep the length since I blow out my hair often at home. Mind you, this haircut has been my go-to for YEARS and I've seen so many stylists do it with different methods & techniques. D proceeds to cut my face framing layers and instead of tapering it off, she cuts the bang straight across, and then does the next layer tapered off.... I gave her the benefit of the doubt and "trusted the process" but the more I told her I didn't like something, she'd cut it and make it worse + shorter. I told her mid cut that I didn't want to continue and was gonna walk out + try to go get it fixed somewhere else. She goes to grab Roslyn (a more seasoned stylist) to look at + fix my hair and curled it to try to make the choppy job look better. Roslyn starts to fix it and uses my head as a training session for D ...................... and it all made sense. If I'm being worked on by a trainee, I'd like that disclosed before I put my hair into their hands. Now, I got a f'd up hair cut that's short af and I gotta wait for it to grow before I can actually fix it. On top of that, the manager that day Aliyah was super rude and unprofessional bc they put an "add-on" to my tab for curling my hair even though I didn't ask for it + they didn't disclose an extra charge and tried to charge me $81 for a f'd up hair cut, no wash, and a style I didn't ask for? Nope. The beauty dept in the back ain't getting my money ever again LOL. If you book a haircut here, go to Roslyn only. Can't speak for other season stylists there since nobody else was on shift but def don't go with D (name not disclosed for legal reasons). I'd rather you be safe than go to a trainee who doesn't know how to cut layers -- a basic cosmetology skill.

Bad experience and would not go back. Here is why…read more I had scheduled a time/day to get my hair cut. The stylist took 6 hours (no exaggeration) to do my hair. It got to the point where it was 10:00 p.m. and I just had to leave. I couldn't take it any more. She didn't even finish my hair all the way and she made me very uncomfortable. It wasn't until the next day that I realized just how bad my hair really was. My roots were not even touched and my hair was very uneven. To say that this was the worst haircut/dye that I have ever received, is an understatement. So naturally, I decided to go back to the salon and just ask them to fix it. I didn't make a big deal about it at all and I would have been fine just getting it fixed. Upon entering the salon the following day, I spoke with Jeff and explained my situation and how I requested to have my hair fixed. Jeff then proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay for another appointment...I politely explained the situation again and requested that my roots just be touched up and my uneven hair trimmed. Jeff stated he would have to speak to his supervisor (maybe, the owner?), Melissa and I would be contacted. Was I contacted? Nope. In fact multiple times I had to follow up and send multiple pictures to finally get another appointment scheduled. Luckily, when I came in and got my hair fixed, a new stylist fixed my hair and I was pleasantly relieved. It should be reiterated that no one including the supervisor, Melissa, the owner, or anyone ever contacted me to apologize including when I came back in person to get my hair fixed. In addition, I should also point out that whenever a stylist leaves the salon, the company sends out emails, and at times will explain why the stylist left. For one particular stylist, the email stated, "XXXX has left Willow Sage Salon on unfortunate terms. Her conduct has not been in line with our values, and we cannot continue working with her." In my opinion, this is unprofessional and these type of things should be kept in house. There is no need to air dirty laundry out to the public. By doing this, it doesn't reflect positively on the business and raises questions about the company and business practices. To summarize, all of this could have been easily avoided and I wouldn't have posted a review if better customer service would have been implemented. The owner or supervisor-anyone should have contacted me, apologized and resolved the problem immediately by booking another appointment. I shouldn't have had to continue to follow up multiple times etc. I will never go back. Do not recommend.
