t's no surprise this place has so many 1-star reviews -- unfortunately, my experience was just as bad. The first stylist was extremely rude and condescending. The second stylist was clearly inexperienced and had to ask for help with every step. I don't blame her for being new, but it was obvious she wasn't ready to be handling clients on her own. The owner seemed kind at first, but when I questioned the work and the pricing, her attitude changed quickly. I was quoted one price over the phone (less than $100), yet was charged significantly more after the service -- and the explanations for the price kept changing depending on who I asked. As for the service itself, it was a disaster. My instructions were simple: apply color evenly so my hair would be one shade of bright red. Instead, my roots were left showing, the color was inconsistent, and the end result was dark red with bright red roots -- exactly what I said I didn't want. I sat in the chair from 12:00 to 4:30, endured rude comments, and left uneven hair. What's worse is that instead of apologizing or offering a discount, they overcharged me. Quality, professionalism, and integrity were completely lacking. After years of going here with no issues when a previous stylist worked there, today was beyond disappointing. Customers deserve better than being treated poorly, overcharged, and left with ruined hair. I would strongly recommend avoiding this salon until they hire experienced staff and learn how to treat clients with respect. read more

I got my hair cut and dyed by Jordan and she made my hair dreams come true! I went for a Neapolitan hair dye and a huge cut. At first I was so nervous because I hadn't had my hair cut that short in over 10 years but she absolutely killed it!! It was such a cute cut and I get lots of compliments on my hair!!! The hair bar was modern and clean. The staff was friendly. I am always skeptical of hair salons and hairstyles but took a chance. So glad I did. Hope did a wonderful job in my hair. Loved it!!! She knew what she was talking about with framing my face and also gave me advice on length for bands. Loved that she kept me in the loop of steps that she was taking. I've been coming here for 3 years. Everyone here has always been pleasant. Daniela is my go-to hair stylist. She is very skilled! She provides great advice that no stylist ever bothered to mention to me. I bleached my hair and had terrible grown out roots. Daniela did a beautiful job blending in the sharp bleach line. I can tell she has an interest in doing a good job by how she takes time to make sure she and I are on the same page. I trust her input. She makes sure I understand what my hair can and can't do based on color, thickness, length, etc. Daniela's input provides me clear expectations on results. All hair is different. While I was there getting my hair done Tuesday 11/26 @ 1:30 there was a woman who walked in with her kids. The kids were so sweet and respectful but the woman was SO loud and totally disruptive. She ended up working there and the entire time she was doing the little girls hair she was talking SO loud to whoever would listen in the salon. Not a very relaxing experience. Another thing to note is any time someone would call, walk in, or leave the ladies would gossip about them as they walked out. "Her hair is so dry", "she's already called like 5x", "I don't even know if I can help her hair in its condition". It just made me think the whole time "what are they gunna say about me when I leave???" Overall uncomfortable experience. It's my fault for not doing research prior to booking at bloom. But when multiple people have an open availability day of it should have been a warning sign to me. read more

WORST HAIR CUT I'VE EVER HAD! Came in to add some simple layers and face framing. My hair looked awful after the cut, the layers were way too short on one side and flat so I came back to have the manager fix it. Still not happy with it and was not offered a refund. When you spend close to $100 for a level 5 stylist to do just a haircut (no style or color) you expect to like it. Very disappointing I have to grow it out for a few MONTHS to get someone else to be able to fix it. The staff simply deletes any negative comments they receive and hangs up. Owner refuses to speak to customers directly. Apparently I should have made a scene on my way out and been rude to the staff according to the response I got? Unreal. So then our daughter needed prom hair ...... booked the appt ..... it was Beni again , I was excited to see it it was her . The Beni asked what about her makeup..... I said I couldn't get her in anywhere , been trying for a month ( all the schools have prom at the same time ) Beni said ...... go home , get ready ...... do your foundation, come back ...... I have been going to Bloom Hair Bar, for several years. I have had several stylists, (Chrissy, Allison, and Louisa) who are all EXCELLENT! The place is VERY friendly with a comfortable vibe. The Stylist, Receptionist, and even other clients are super friendly and engaged. And now that the flowers are gone it feels very classy! I love the products but the stylists don't push products on you, they guide you to the products that work best on your hair. My hair color and cut are exactly what I have asked for. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BLOOM HAIR BAR! And it's two doors down from CoCo Shrimp where my Granddaughter works! (LOL) read more

Do not get a silk press, it is no different then straightening your hair yourself. Also, don't believe them if they suggest a $20 dollar split end mender treatment. Pretty sure she offered it and then went ahead and did nothing to my hair. The split end mender is listed as $60 dollars they don't have a $20 one. They lied just to get more money out of me. Wanted to try somewhere closer to my house. First I contacted the salon and asked if they had someone experienced with fine thin hair and color was told have the perfect stylist for you. So today I Asked for little darker blond. First turns my hair orange. Offers to tone it. Still orange she decided to try again so afraid of her frying my hair to get it back blond asked if just could cover it with brown to get rid of orange. Went at 10am still there at 3:30 i don't know where to start . I went in for low lights and some highlights , long story short I had red hair , and 4 times back to the wash bowl " Allison" then continued to apologize and tell me she didnt want to charge me . I agreed then she still thought I was going to let her cut my hair . I told her to stop and got up said I was not going to pay , and that's when all hell broke , all the hair stylist ran into the back room came back out saying it's policy to have to pay and take it up with the manager . i paid for product then was told my the Asian girl not to let the door hit me in the ass ! Then Allison informed me on the way out my hair looking like sh...t was my fault . Called the manager and can see why this place won't last . Stay away from this place . Do not come to this salon. We were quoted $180 for color and cut but when I went to go pick up my sister the price had jumped to $255. When I started looking at her hair underneath the top layer there was choppy application and the toner was not dispersed evenly, AND pink color in the very back of her hair like how the heck does pink color get into someone's has that you are dying blonde! Mind you we have a wedding that we are apart of in 2 weeks... Once I asked why the price was $255 it was because of "extra applications of bleach and the toner was not included in that $180 just the hair cut", my sister already came in with blonde hair and didn't need it to be bleached over 2x, only the toner was taken off the bill...The stylist was nice enough to fix her mistake with the choppy color application but there were still parts of orange in her hair. Also my sister is tender headed and didn't want to be rude and tell her what to do and the stylist was racking through her hair ( my sister has very thick hair and should have been parted to brush her hair to get knots out) had to ask her to stop brushing and blow drying her hair because I knew it was hurting her. At this point it was 7:08pm and I dropped her off at 1:30pm. I would rather go to someone that can get the hair done great the first time and pay $255 for work that was done right. read more
