What more can I say? Shua can do it all. She has done my hair for over 10 years, and I have never been disappointed. I am an easy-going, go-with-the-flow person, though my biggest flaw is deciding what to do with my hair. I work in the healthcare field and have to keep my hair up mostly, but the highlights, weave, and hair cuts that Shua has provided over the years were never a disappointment. I constantly received compliments and was asked for information by her. Shua understands hair, especially my hair, which, no matter every effort she made, came to the understanding that regardless of what she tried (or anyone in the past), my hair would never hold a curl, feather...it was as straight as straight could be. She always knew exactly what I wanted, even when I didn't..lol. She is AWESOME with color and can work with any hair type. My teenage Daughter has very curly hair, and a few years ago, when she "attempted" to cut her hair, Shua was able to fix the butcher cut and put in some cute streaks of hot picks. My Daughter LOVED IT!! In the past, I have always dreaded getting my hair done because I was impatient. Not only is Shua fast, but our conversations were ones that I always looked forward to and will greatly miss, along with her vibe :). By the time I was 20 years old, I had only ever had two hair stylists and both were ones my mom and sisters used. I went away to college and found myself the difficult task of trying to find my own hair stylist. No one tells you how stressful that is! Without any idea where to begin, I just walked into my nearest salon and hoped for the best. Shua had an opening at that moment so I sat down and she started her work. 15+ years later, and I was still sitting in her chair. I'm usually slow to warm to people but she made me at ease. She has such a warm personality and always a pleasure to talk with. I was always amazed the detail to which she remembered our conversation--she always felt like a friend. I'm not adventurous with my hair and for years I only went in for a cut. About 10 years ago I started to get prematurely gray hairs at the temples which pushed me to start coloring. For years all I was comfortable with was coloring back to my natural dark brown. After having my first baby, I felt ready for a change and we started the scary (I know, sad that's scary!) process of lightening. She walked me thru it and I'm so glad I did! My hair has so much more depth and dimension now. It looks natural, just more interesting and lovely. For years Shua had told me she wanted to own her own home and the only way was to move out of state. I had been secretly dreading the day because I knew I would lose her. She has become my friend over the years, someone I trust to take care of me. My last appointment she said it was finally happening and she was moving to Texas! It has been bittersweet to see her leave, but I'm so happy for her next chapter. Even in leaving, she made sure her clients were taken care of. She made referrals for new stylists and passed along her records so the new stylists at her salon could continue services. She made the transition as seamless as possible. I would highly recommend Shua. She is super professional and truly cares about her clients. She has always taken such good care of me. My hair always looked beautiful and healthy when I left. Shua is amazing. I started going to her when I was 19 and I was very particular about my hair. The first time I sat in her chair I was nervous and only let her trim my hair. She made me feel more comfortable each time and I continued seeing her for 16 years. She is the only one I have let cut my hair and it got to the point where I would just let her tell me how much needed to be cut. I trusted her that much.
