I am a disappointed client. I went to the knot salon for 10 years knowing my forever stylist was there. It was a convenient location however I went there for RENE and NOT the environment! She listened as I vented and took care of me emotionally and did wonders with my thick long hair. I called the salon to schedule services with Rene, and someone told me that she was no longer there and that they could refer me to another stylist there. I simply said "not interested in anyone else's services but Renes.... And that I will take my business elsewhere. Fortunately I was able to contact Rene directly. They didn't even try to get me in with someone else, just told me I had to reschedule. The girl I see now (Lisa Tran) is great. Went in today and saw this sign. Incredibly disappointing. I shouldn't have to ask you to wear a mask. Doing the bare minimum to protect us both is not a favor to me. Alexis saved my life. I had two bad hair cuts back to back and Alexis came highly recommended. I was a little nervous but she calmed my nerves instantly. She was going through my hair cut and explaining how it was cut previously and what needed to be done to fix the issue. I knew going in I wasn't going to get the cut I originally wanted, I just wanted it to look decent, but she gave me a really cute cut that I could absolutely work with it. My expectations were definitely exceeded. Was able to book a same day apt. The salon was clean, the staff is super cute and really friendly, prices are comparable to salons in the area. Avoid this salon like the plague. It's long but worth the read. I had a haircut with Lisa Tran after my previous stylist, Asha, quit. I didn't think it would be a problem seeing a new stylist since I've never had a problem at The Knot. My curly hair was down to my butt in a V shape. I asked her to cut my hair straight across to get rid of the V shape, trim my dead ends off, and shape up my face framing. She cut my hair to bra strap length when it's straight. So in actuality, my curly hair comes down to my shoulders now. She took way more off than what I asked for. When she asked, "What do you think?" I said, "IT'S SHORT!" She said, "but fuller!" Um, that's not what I asked for. She made my face framing look awful by making two large cuts in the front on each side of my face that did not flow with the back of my head at all. It looks choppy. I leave the salon and put my hair up as soon as I get home. My baby hair is GONE. My baby hair was long enough to be pulled into my bun. I immediately have a break down. These baby hairs are so short they cannot be pinned in the back or tucked behind my ears in the front. I call the salon and ask to speak to the manager. Sabrina (the manager) tells me to text her the photos. I do. She never offered an apology or a refund. I had to ask for one! I requested the owner's contact information. Sabrina never provided it. I track down Asha and her new salon (I know now that I should have done this from the beginning). I schedule an emergency hair appointment. She had to cut my hair a little shorter to make it blend with the choppy face framing Lisa did. Not only that, but Asha had to take more hair in the front by my ears and cut them to blend in the baby hairs. She did the best she could with what she had to work with. Lisa is classified as a level 3 and Asha was a level 1 when she worked at the Knot. 3 is "better" than a 1. Clearly not since Asha has to clean up Lisa's work. My haircut was for my birthday after waiting 9 months to get it trimmed. I cried all day and called out of work because I was too embarrassed to go out in public looking like that. I can not wear my hair up for months until my baby hair grows back out since there is NOTHING I can do with them. I feel like I have been stripped of my identity. Lisa Tran has been styling for YEARS and this is her quality of work. Apparently Sabrina thinks my hair looks fine by defending Lisa, arguing with me, and not even offering me an apology. If you were a client of Asha Buchert she is now at Sofia Elaine Salon in Westlake. I'll save you the trouble of looking her up since The Knot claims they don't know where Asha went. The owner of Sofia Elaine is amazing, by the way. Here are the before and after photos of my head and the text thread with the manager. And to The Knot ... if you ask me to take down this review because you already gave me a refund the answer is NO. Went in because they were offering 50% off to get clients in post-covid. I thought to myself, well I'll go so I don't end up having a quarantine hair disaster trying to do it at home. I went from blonde to red and truly the color was very pretty. But the girl who did my hair kept insisting she curl it so she could take photos. Clearly it was just a way to get me to leave without seeing the mistakes. Even though I told her I almost never use heat on my hair, I was trying to be polite and let her curl it. Once I washed it at home I was in absolute shock. I've cut my hair at home before and never messed it up. I'm pretty sure by six year old cousin could have done a better job with safety scissors. Let me also say that what I discussed with the stylist was not a cut at all, but rather just a VERY light trim on my ends as I didn't want to lose any length. I called and the receptionist was kind of laughing as she took down my name which made me angry. I got in touch with the owner and when I sent her the photos. She responded by telling me that it looked like the stylist tried to do face framing layers and didn't blend them we'll. I insisted by hair was gone and could not be blended. She told me she'd been doing hair forever and if I came back in she'd fix it. She was nice enough, but working in customer service I have learned that matching a customer's tone is so important! Sending smiley faces and not taking things seriously when someone is telling you they're upset us not the way to go. When I got in to have it fixed her upbeat personality about the situation was very off putting, especially seeing as I was in tears. I was in the chair for roughly 5 minutes. She had assured me she could fix it, but I cried as I watch her take off more length and essentially just make it worse. I told her to stop and she said the only solutions would be to cut it all off to just below my chin or get a clip in to go in the front of my hair. ????? Gross. My hair is too fine to hide clip ins anywhere. Much less right in the front of my head. My hair grows so slow. The length it is shows how much it's grown from my shoulders in about 6 years. So yeah no that was not an option. I just cried and told her I wanted to go home. They refunded my money which was the only good thing about the experience. Too bad I can't get my tip back. Next time I'll just do it at home because at least if I messed up this bad it would be expected since my hair experience stops at age 5 and some Barbie dolls. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

The customer service I witnessed today at the Knot was indeed what they call going "above and beyond"!! Seriously, though!!! While I was sitting getting my hair colored this sweet little lady passed by my chair with her walker, all prettied up. She went and sat on a chair, pulled out her phone then the hairdresser, who worked with her today, asked if she needed help with something and the sweet little lady said she was calling a Lyft. Yes, a Lyft! Then the hairdresser blew me away when she offered to take her home because she didn't have a client due for another hour. The sweet little lady accepted and off they went. Yes, I cried in my chair!! Sweetest thing ever!! And, just like that, I will continue to be a client at The Knot and refer them to everyone!!!! I have been to this salon twice the first time for color with Whitney she no longer works there but it wasn't exactly what I wanted I was going in to get it lighter and I understand that sometimes results can vary with darker hair but my hair was brassy orange when I came out (it was already bleached previously) she had booked another person while she was coloring my hair (she was coloring two at the same time). I was upset that I paid almost $180 for something I was not happy with I was also expecting a little better considering the type of salon and pricing. I decided to give them a second chance for a haircut. I do not remember the person's name but she was very snobby barely said hi and when she was cutting my hair she barely even said a word aside from stating how much hair I have (almost complaining). The haircut was good but the customer service was lacking. For haircuts they do good job but you better have an appointment because if you walk in you'll get dirty looks from the staff and if you call in to make an appointment make sure you have time to be on hold because they'll put you on hold and forget about you. I made an appointment for partial foil and hair cut. When I made my appointment, I mentioned that I was on a budget. When I met my stylist, Emily, I l told her a partial foil and hair cut. She mentioned there would be an additional fee if needed. My hair is short, so I didn't believe it would be needed. I was charged $50 for color up to 40 oz- for short hair. On top of that, I was charged for overlays, add on colors and a glaze. These items were never discussed with the me; the stylist did these add-ons without my consent. The highlight and cut should have been around $110; I walked out there with a bill over $225. I believe charging people for items which were never discussed is unethical. I would not recommend this place. Poor customer service and poor communication with their customer. read more

Paid a little over $200 for a haircut, bleaching, and color for my daughter's shoulder length hair only to be told afterwards that it's ok to have globs of paint in her scalp because she chose a vibrant color. I spoke with the stylist Whitney and the owner Kylie who informed me that it's perfectly acceptable which is beyond ridiculous as a good stylist would never send a client with globs of hair color in their scalp and looking like this. I've been at high end salons in NY and LA but never experienced such poor service like this. THIS IS THE WORST SALON I've ever been to. I'm feeling pretty disappointed about my experience with The Knot. I went in on Thursday for a haircut with Heather and while she was a very sweet person, her work ethic made me feel really uneasy. I asked for a blunt haircut that requires precision and when she was done she asked me several times if I wanted to curl my hair. I could tell the cut was off and her pushing for curls made me feel like she wanted to mask the potential uneven job. After I asked her to straighten in, she ended up going in to cut off some unevenness. The fact that she was willing to not double check her work and was willing to have me go on my way with curls to mask imperfections is not okay by me. My hair is still not how I asked for it to be and I left because I didn't want her to cut anymore of my hair. Then I called the receptionist Sabrina and cancelled a color appointment with Heather because at this point I didn't feel I could trust this stylist. She said ok. She never offered to reschedule me even though I said I wanted to do so on the phone. I was willing to go in and give the salon a second shot. Her attitude doesn't come off very friendly and this was frustrating as well both in person and on the phone. I called back and asked to please have a manager call me back. I gave her my number, she repeated it back to me. I told Sabrina that I had gotten my haircut with them the day before and I would like to have someone correct my hair as it wasn't where it should have been. She didn't offer an apology, didn't sound proactive, and I never got a call from the manager. read more

Massage chair didn't work...no hot towels, no stones, no nothing...$50 for a sub par pedicure...left in flip flops...went home and went to bed. Woke up, took a shower, put flip Flops on and my big toe is already smudged! It's a gel pedicure! There should be no smudges. My toes look like I could have done them myself. The extensions look bad, and they had not been trimmed appropriately. Kylie took great care of me. She gave my hair a beautiful haircut and it now looks natural and so much better. I have been going to the Knot for some time now and I couldn't be happier. While it is a drive for me (South Fort Worth), I would travel to Oklahoma to see Heather. I have been with her for years and I wouldn't go to anyone else. My blonde highlights are the perfect color. I am constantly getting complements for my hair. Horrible Customer Service! I had an appointment scheduled since June 1st for an August appointment....Chelsea quit which they notified me that i would get 50% off my next service which was scheduled for today, but apparently they never rescheduled another person to take her appointments. The salon never notified me that my appointment was cancelled. I even received confirmations from their automated system which I confirmed the appointment. I called 2 times to find out who I was scheduled with and no one called me back. So here it is 1 hour before my appointment, I finally get someone to answer my question and they tell me I don't have an appointment. At minimum, you reschedule a new stylist to existing appointments and honor them if you have a person that quits. They had over 45 days to reschedule me and they did not. read more

I came in after not doing much to my hair for almost two years and she worked wonders! Got some peekaboo highlights, roots touched up and layers put in! I am very pleased with how it turned out. I will definitely be returning to her! Everyone there seemed to be very pleasant and super sweet. The salon is gorgeous and all the styles I saw on people leaving looked amazing! The ladies here will even fix up your hair for you while you're getting your nails done...talk about customer service! I don't mind paying good money for great hair and/or nails. Beautiful light filled salon full of extremely nice gals working there. Came in today for my 2.5 year old daughter's first haircut with Amber. Amber listened & complied with everything I asked, even when it may have seemed ridiculous (I was very nervous about getting my daughters beautiful super curly hair cut for the first time, especially 3 weeks before her first pageant ever)! Amber did a fantastic job on my daughter's hair, exactly what I asked for, and her demeanor with my daughter was just excellent. We have been looking for a stylist my daughter can stick with as she grows, and I believe we've found her in Amber! The price was comparable to Cool Cuts for Kids, but the atmosphere and quality of work at The Knot were far superior. My daughter was the only child there today, but they do offer a full menu of services for the whole family, and everyone really made us feel comfortable being there, even on an extremely busy Saturday. All of the ladies walking out of the salon looked beautiful; I even stopped one girl and asked her the name of the stylist who did her cut and color because it was so gorgeous. I can't wait to schedule an appointment for myself! I gave 4 stars because they don't take American Express. :( read more
