Beautiful light filled salon full of extremely nice gals working there. Came in today for my 2.5 year old daughter's first haircut with Amber. Amber listened & complied with everything I asked, even when it may have seemed ridiculous (I was very nervous about getting my daughters beautiful super curly hair cut for the first time, especially 3 weeks before her first pageant ever)! Amber did a fantastic job on my daughter's hair, exactly what I asked for, and her demeanor with my daughter was just excellent. We have been looking for a stylist my daughter can stick with as she grows, and I believe we've found her in Amber! The price was comparable to Cool Cuts for Kids, but the atmosphere and quality of work at The Knot were far superior. My daughter was the only child there today, but they do offer a full menu of services for the whole family, and everyone really made us feel comfortable being there, even on an extremely busy Saturday. All of the ladies walking out of the salon looked beautiful; I even stopped one girl and asked her the name of the stylist who did her cut and color because it was so gorgeous. I can't wait to schedule an appointment for myself! I gave 4 stars because they don't take American Express. :( read more

Kylie always does a great job! I go from blonde for spring/summer and then back to darker in the fall/winter and she makes it all blend beautifully with foils and balayage! I can usually call and get a appointment with her quickly, but I have a flexible schedule. I started bringing my young daughter there and she loves going to see Ms. Kylie for her haircuts! I was in need of a pedicure and Kendal delivered. I am always on my feet and wanted to treat myself to a nice pedicure. I enjoyed being recieved by Kendal her funny and knowledgeable personality about her pedicure made me extremely relax recieving my pedi and loved my nail color. Thank you Kendal for making a women feel confortable and at ease with my busy schedule. I definitely recommend the pedicure spa. The mango tangerine scrub felt wonderful. read more

Absolutely loved Julie! We had so much in common and talked the entire time about our crazy husbands. She did an amazing job. Definitely my favorite stylist I've found since moving to TX. The salon was very nice. It did feel a little crowded. I don't think they give the stylists enough room to be honest. I was also very unhappy with my bill. They seem very overpriced. I paid over $200. I've NEVER paid that much for my hair. I'm hoping I can go back because I loved Julie and my hair looked and felt amazing. I'm hoping she moves to a different salon! For $200 a visit I don't think I'll be able to swing that. If I do go back it might have to be a once a year thing. Disappointing. read more

Amber did an amazing job on my stubborn, flat hair. She accommodated my need for a late, same day appointment and took excellent care of me.

I got to my 9 o'clock appointment five minutes early, waited 20 minutes after checking before someone told me that my stylist would not be there until 10 o'clock. Absolutely ridiculous way to treat a first time costumer but whatever. read more

The first time I came here it was great. Color and cut turned out very. The second time to get my color touched up the stylist got color I my eye. Yes hair color in my eye because she was trying too rush through my service so she could get someone else in the chair. I will never go back and never recommend this place to anyone!!!!! read more

If you are reading Yelp reviews to help make a decision on this hair salon this is what I have to say. I've been going to the Knot for several years now. I have never been disappointed in my stylist Kylie or the level of service that The Knot provides. She has bent over backwards many times to accommodate my schedule changes, even coming in at 7am so I can make it to work by 9. They have expanded, and hired many new stylists over the past year. This doesn't happen unless customers are happy and continue to come back. Also I want did give a shout out to Doan who does my waxing and facials. WONDERFUL LADY. Don't let just anyone touch your brows. If you want an expert and not just anyone that has a bowl of hot wax handy, call her. Shes extremely reasonable price wise, and will make you feel like you're visiting a friend. read more

If you value your hair and money run!!!!! It has taken me 5 months to think about this review. In Oct for my 40th BDay I wanted a change. I had Juli give me a perm after telling her repeatedly that the last time I had a perm my hair was fried. I begged her not to fry my hair. My hair was almost to my waist. She literally wrapped my hair in these rods that took her less that 3 minutes, no papers, squirted the solution all over my head and left it on for 20 minutes while she sat there figuring out how much money she made for the day. She washed my hair and sent me packing after pushing this stupid product on me. I left with wet hair because by this time it had been 3 hours that I waited. Less than 30 minutes went by and as my hair was drying I could tell it was fried. I mean falling out of my head, breaking off when you touch it fried. They were closed by this time. I washed the perm out and used a million different products just to somewhat save my hair. The next day I text her that she fried my hair, she insulted my intelligence saying fry means falling out and breaking. No crap. That is exactly what my hair was doing. In the end I have lost over 13 inches of my hair and I have only been reimbursed 46.00 out of 180.00. The owner offered their crappy Chem shots which have in mind I had one right before the crappy perm. No thank you. Every time I have went to get a trim Juli was always more worried about how many people she can get in her chair than the actual quality of her work. She always sent me away with wet hair and never styled it because that would cost another 45 dollars. I'm sorry but 100 bucks for a hair cut is complete BS. So everyone take my advice and run as fast as you can away from The Knot. Had I received all of my money and an apology from Juli maybe this review would be a different story. Literally the worst hair stylist I have encounter to date and I had perfect hair. No color, no heat ever, no chemicals. Perfect and I am still suffering to get it back to how it used to be. I have told everyone I know to stay away from this place and trust me I know ALOT of people. 1 year later and my hair is still screwed. Just wanted to update that. Juli no longer works for the knot and the minute she left all of her "clients" received a text message for 50% off any hair style because she is gone. So if that isn't telling you how unhappy people were then I do not know what to say. Still one year dealing with all of this broken hair no matter what I do without cutting it all off! I had my eyes closed so that's my fault. Third girl talked abut how much experience she had. Perm ok but salon open floor space and too many people walking around. I went to The Knot for the first time because my stylist I had for many years moved. If I could've moved with her I would have. Lol! Anyway, the salon itself is nice. Clean. Modern. I was on time, but my stylist, Amber was about 10-15 minutes late getting to me. She's nicey nice, but not a comfortable nice. Hard to explain. But I liked her anyway.....until I sat down and got my hair washed. As she began to wash my hair and I began to halfway relax because it's my "me time", she started with her 45 minute sales pitch that didn't end until I walked out the door. It was THE MOST BIZARRE haircut I have ever had. I could not just enjoy the pampering because every one of the many products she used on my hair came with Amber listing ingredients/benefits. She really didn't cut my hair much at all. Snip here and there. Took the scissors with teeth to the sides and viola! Um, no. Just no. Upon checking out, Amber takes it upon herself to put two products at the counter for me to purchase without my consent. Really? Um, again, no. Just no. The girl at the counter asked if I was buying them and I said no. Amber kinda looked insulted and turned and left all the while saying that the girl at the counter could get me prices on the products for "next time". Not gonna be a next time. Oh and Amber took many breaks while cutting my hair to pay for her portion of lunch that was delivered and then went back to the lounge a couple more times. Not very professional. read more

Arrived at salon for an appointment I scheduled three weeks ago and confirmed three times. After 30 minutes waiting the receptionist told me she didn't know how much longer it would be. You need to reschedule appointments instead of confirming an appointment that was running way over. I only have weekends off and have other appointments scheduled. Don't recommend very unprofessional will definitely not recommend to anyone. read more

My stylist, Jessica , is the best with great styles and colors but let me assure you, she's the only reason why I go there. The salon has poor ambiance, many of the stylists don't get along and I never received a follow up from the owner after a complaint ( stylist openly ridiculing a client). They sell decent product and run sales but I heard there are actually 2 owners, one wanted a boutique so there are racks of poor quality clothing in the salon!! I am sorry to say but PLEASE be careful when thinking about getting hair extensions here. I had beautiful long hair and only wanted to accentuate what I had with a little more hair. The lady who worked on me did not apply the bundles to natural hair correctly. This resulted in pulling out most of my natural hair within 3 weeks and now the back of my head is thin and short. I have very healthy hair because I took care of it. For those of you considering this as an option please look into the halo first. read more

Once again, Kylie does a fabulous job with my hair. I sit down and she tells me she knows exactly what we are doing. I'm like "Okay." Mind you, she has been doing my hair in Keller for 6 years, but she never ceases to amaze me. I left before it could be blow-dried but it is dry now and looks absolutely amazing. This color is perfect. If you have not been to The Knot, here is a synopsis: Higher end salon with adorable decor and state of the art technique and equipment. All of the girls are super sweet. However, this salon is busy; you are not going to walk in and see the stylists sitting around waiting for walk-in business. If the first person in your stylist's chair is running behind, it creates a snowball effect for the day's appointments. If you think you are the most important person on Earth and need your appointment to be absolutely on time, be the first appointment. read more

Very clean place..organized and nicely decorated, but not too much to make me, a regular jeans-and-shirt girl feel out of place. Juli did my hair..first time having highlights done and it was a wonderful experience. My hair turned out exactly as I wanted it. And she's very nice and funny too. Possibly the worst haircut experience I've had. When walking into the salon is smells of acrylic nails. My stylist (at least she was on time) might have said 10 words to me- when trying to engage her in a conversation I got nothing. First time here... Had an appt at 1 and wasn't seen until 1:20. I get waiting at doctors' offices, that's easy to understand and easy to overlook.. but at a hair place on a Sunday?? When I had an appt?? And then she puts curls in my hair (I was getting a blowout) and I say sure, and as we're leaving she says she won't even charge me for the curls because she was late... Let me start by saying my review is not based on the quality of cut, as I didn't receive one. I had an appointment for 10am (they open at 9). I arrived on time. After waiting for 10 minutes the stylist told me it would another 10 minutes. At 10:20 she was still putting color on the client in the chair. How could she be that far behind so early in the day? And why not call me and let me know? Clearly the woman in her chair hadn't been there long at all. I am self employed, if I'm not working I'm not making money. I told her that I would come back another time as I have work to do and appointments to keep. She responded by saying "well we're just doing a cut today not a color, right?" To which I replied "I thought we were doing both". But in retrospect, it really didn't matter what we were doing, clearly my time wasn't as valuable as someone else's. And no apologies... Thinking this is not my kind of place. read more

This salon repeatedly shoved me around to different stylists the first few times I went which was unprofessional and unorganized. Management was either not present or the reason it was unorganized. I finally found a stylist I liked and for unfortunate circumstances, she had to leave. I was then harassed repeatedly by this salon about rescheduling with a new stylist. I just recently moved to the DFW area and of course that means I had to find a new hairstylist. Natalie at the knot is a hair GODDESS! Not only is she super cute and has a great personality but she is thorough and takes her time to make sure you are 100% happy. She does an amazing job washing and massaging before your cut leaving you very relaxed. My cut was exactly what I wanted and then she showed off her phenomenal styling skills. Thanks Natalie! I thought this place was upscale and would have more experienced stylists. The person cutting my hair was very new to the field. I was going to sports clips, but was hoping to have a better haircut here. I have short hair and it's very easy to cut my hair. The stylist didn't even cut around my ear and the front is noticeably uneven. I had to go to sports clips to have them fix my hair. I thought sports clips was bad but this place is just as bad and costs more. read more
