I have never left a review before but I feel compelled to do so. The ladies at Supercuts are so sweet and helpful. I needed a last minute haircut and they made availability for me. However, my hair is in the worse shape I have ever seen it in. I went in with an long Bob and asked for an inch off, the back shorter than the front, and a slight slant. The stylist seemed to completely understand. She is very sweet. My hair looked great at the end - it was partially damp and it dries wavy. When I returned home to style and straighten it, it's completely uneven. I am extremely upset and am having a hard time comprehending how all of this happened. Normally, the staff is very professional and follows directions and does a great job. I came in and gave the same instructions I always have for the last two years. Instead of getting a haircut I wanted, I had to stop and argue with him 3 times that he was doing it wrong. My haircut was fine, (so if that's all you need, stop reading) - but honestly the moment I walked in, I instantly regretted it and felt red flags. Just does NOT seem clean at all. My hairdresser took a brush and comb out of her drawer, mind you, not out of those disinfectant jar things that I've seen literally in every salon EVER, those were not in sight at this location. There was white crud all up in the comb and I was thinking dear lawd she's not using that on my head is she LOLz?? AND SHE DID. And I didn't say anything because I got so anxious and she was kinda mean muggin' and I was nervous of opening my mouth. (Note - it's been a week or so and I don't feel any itchiness so that's good BUT STILL). Take note that using any specialty products is not a thing here, so I'm pretty sure they used the generic equivalent of Suave or RainMist for shampoo and possibly skipped conditioner. This also means they definitely don't use any leave-in conditioner or detangler, so the hairdresser was straight up trying to rip my knots and tangles out of my long hair. Blow dry is extra. I paid $26 total, which brings me to this - I just wanted a simple trim, I could go to the Vietnamese salon near my work where it's $12 total and they have those disinfectant jars. OR I'll just pay $45 and go to an actual salon where they'll have clean combs and use whatever products needed as to not rip apart my bleached highlights. Yeah won't be coming back. This is the best place in Midtown when you are looking for a good hair cut, but don't want to pay the same price as if you were buying a new car. Jessica is fantastic! I have been going to her for the past five plus years and she always does a great job. She will cut her goad however you ask her her to and you never feel rushed or like she is too busy to take the time to do a good job on your. I wouldn't go anywhere ales. This definitely isn't the most technically correct haircut I've ever received, but I can't argue with the compliments. Normally I would have seen my regular stylist in Atlanta, but I didn't have a chance before my last trip to Houston. I was visiting my Heman and I didn't even have to say anything about needing a trim (once he saw me it was apparent). We came here to see his stylist and for $16 I was fully groomed. I had been needing to cut my hair for a while but just hadn't gotten around to it. I'd made an appointment earlier in the week for a "fancy" salon but when I arrived they hadn't officially confirmed my appointment. So a few days later I walked in HERE and had ZERO minutes wait time. A lovely lady named Helen immediately helped me and did my hair. She listened to exactly what I asked - 6-8 inches off and layers - and did exactly that, while double checking what I wanted as we progressed on the process. What more could I ask for? She knew what she was doing and was professional. Unlike some places that charge extra for longer hair it was a flat rate which I really appreciated also. If you want a good haircut of exactly what you want and aren't interested in all those fancy frills like "free mimosas" this place is great. I've been going to this supercuts location for about a year now, and will not be coming back again after my most recent experience. The quality of the haircuts is highly variable and over the past few months it has become increasingly frustrating trying to get a quality haircut here. The appointments you can book online used to be relatively accurate/timely and maybe you would have a 10-20 minute wait, which is completely understandable, however more recently they have been prioritizing walk-in customers over scheduled appointments. I arrived on time for my recent appointment (men's haircut which typically takes ~15 minutes) and instead of getting my haircut, my stylist began a brand-new walk-in customer's haircut, shampoo, blow-dry, and perm instead, which took 50 minutes from start to finish. This was after being told it would only take 20 minutes to take care of the walk in customer first. After waiting nearly an hour after my appointment time, I was finally seen, at which time I received a very rushed and sloppy 10 minute haircut that was not up to par with what I usually get from this stylist. I'm very frustrated with the service I received here, in general over the past few months and especially after this most recent visit. I can't recommend coming to this location anymore and I will be looking for a new place to get my haircut in the future. I have no hard feelings towards my stylist, as she has been very kind and did a good job in the past, but I'm not okay waiting an hour after my appointment time only to get rushed through once it's my turn. read more

This place was not worth the wait. It was my mistake for not making an appointment, and the wait was 1.5 hours for me. My haircut lasted no more than 15 mins. I forgot my hairdresser's but shes the older lady with glasses. She was friendly and talked to me during the haircut. However, i asked for a haircut that would take off my split ends and keep my V shape since thats how i normally cut my hair. What she did was clip up the top half of my hair and trimmed the bottom layer. My hair is layered so all the shorter layers still have the split ends. You can definitely notice where my hair was cut and where it was left untouched. It looks like im confused whether i wanted layers or a blunt cut. She did tell me how she was supposed to get off at 7pm but it was already past 8pm. Im assuming she wanted to leave. I ended up having to get a second haircut elsewhere to fix it. Great stylists but terrible customer service from some. Gloria is a superstar at customer service and styling your hair exactly how you want it. The time and care she spends on you is second to none. She should be your ONLY choice when it comes to stylists. "Super-calling" ahead for an appointment is worthless with Noemi. I called in and she still took a walk-in ahead of me at my time. I simply left. On another occasion there was an elderly woman whose car broke down who was asking for help. Immediately after my haircut but before shampooing she asked for a jump. In the 4 minutes (I looked at my watch) of walking outside to help she had someone in the chair cutting their hair. I checked out and didn't get the shampooing I was planning on. I have had my hair cut by her 10+ times (all of which I tipped 100% or more) before these last two experiences and it was great. Recently she has garbage customer service and I will never have my hair cut by her again. read more

I had not cut my hair in a while and starting to look like a witch with long boring black hair. lol So I requested layers. I walked in to Supercuts early one morning last Autumn and learned my regular stylist was no longer there. Lucky for me, there was a new stylist named Shannan. Shannan was alone so that meant I got her as soon as she was free. I told Shannan what kind of cut I wanted and when she finished, my hair looked even better than I had envisioned. It's just about the best cut I've ever had. She's so talented! I was a stranger and surprised at the way she was able to convert my wishes into a great haircut. (I know that's the way it should be but it doesn't always work that way). I went in last week and got another great haircut. I told her that she'd better let me know if she ever leaves for another salon. I never write reviews about anything but I've been so impressed, I had to say something. I needed a haircut in a hurry for an interview and tried this place out since it's so close to home. I setup an appointment online and showed to see there was only one stylist in the entire place. She performed a rush job on my cut and kept looking at her watch as if she had other things to do. When I indicated I also needed her to wash my hair, she didn't seem pleased. Long story short and to no surprise, the hair cut was over done and uneven. I have been getting my hair cut a the this location for several months now and have never been disappointed. They have an app,which allows you to check-in on your way so that you are not stuck waiting in a long line, which is a huge plus. I had several good experience with supercuts at different locations but this encounter was just bad. I usually go somewhere else but that place was closed on Sunday so I had to resort to Supercuts. How hard is it to cut a guys where with clippers and scissors. I got home and noticed that my sideburns were uneven between my right and left. There were portions of the top that were different length/ ignored. Although the price was ok, I would rather spend a few extra dollars to get a good haircut then have to go back home and fix the problem myself. read more

The place suddenly got busy and at 2:15 Robert asked me if I was there, as I said "yes" he asked for another name (a person that was there waiting when I got there) and proceeded to work on his haircut. I walked in for a haircut at roughly 9:30am. 2 stylist had a customer in each of their chairs, and no one but me waiting. 5 phone calls and 2 more customers AFTER me walked in, no words, and they just sat down. I was NOT told anything about waiting after those 2 additional customer's online checkin appointments. No communication at all to me. My time is important as well, and had to leave because an hour is too long to wait on stubborn stylists fighting over who DOESN'T want to cut my hair. Wrote my initial review of this place and had somebody from Supercuts respond and basically say contact our team. So, on August 17th, I believe, I called the 800 number and told the representative about my experience. She stated somebody would be in touch with me. On August 18th I received an e-mail from Jessica Cisneros, District Leader, asking for more information so she could "understand the situation better". I e-mailed her directly with more information. So, I had to be somewhere after work so I decided to pack clothes for the gym before going out. Well it never fails, of course I forgot my running shoes and I had wore dress shoes to work. Just great!! Lol well then I needed to kill time and I have been meaning to get a hair cut; therefore, the logically thing to do is go get a hair cut!! I walked into this supercut and I was greet by Melanie. She asked for my name and email to put me on the waiting list. Then, I sat down and patiently waiting for two people in front of me to get a hair cut. There were two cosmological there and it was actually pretty quick. Melanie was the next one free when it was my turn so she shampoo my hair and started making conversation with me. It was kind of nice instead of just sitting there in silence. After the shampoo, she walkede me to the station and asked how I'd like my hair cut. I explained it to her and she did exactly that. Before she started cutting she made sure of the length I wanted too. Overall, I had a great experience here and Melanie was super nice, friendly, quick, and professional.
