Was coming here every two weeks for over a year. Key word was. For one no one can remember my name and I've yet to get the same haircut from anyone here. I always get a regular cut and tip $5 everytime to everyone who cuts my hair. They are generally rude to the people who are not already in the chairs and could probably benifit from some sort of greeting when people walk in. I just wanted to say that there was a customer that was complaining about Edith. And he complains all the time about every stylist there. But I think all the girls there especially Edith and Joanna are good stylist. There is so much good vibes in there and it makes me want to come back. And keep coming back. But I thought it was kinda rude of that customer. Maybe he is just trying to get free haircuts if he keeps coming back. Ashley is amazing! I've been going to her for my trims for years! She always makes sure to trim what is needed to keep my hair healthy! She provides great customer service and always recommends a great leave-in conditioner. I had been going to this salon for 15yrs if not longer but stylist i went to only goes Fri n Sat now so yest Wednesday the 28th i thought id go for a simple trim shampoo n style! At 930 am 2 stylists there late 20's ! The one wt blonde yellowish hair said she would service me! I read the sign saying if we dint offer u our special ? Haircut is Free She didn't but i didnt say anything ! As a matter of fact i asked while on chair about special but declined it ! then the shampoo? i knew then something was wrong she barely washed the TOP of my head no scrubbing light massage top only !!rinsed n on to chair used a tiny comb not too sure of how to comb it ?then kept trying to part it ? I had to grab comb n part it myself she looked confused i saw her in the mirror staring mind u all i i wanted was 1 inch off! I had to stop her and i said sorry but u dont know how to cut hair n asked other girl wt dark brown hair to do it!Maybe on Wednesday they train new peop idk but other girl was afraid to cut to n barely cut anything ! She Was very nice n tried but Im out $40 bucks plus tip n hair lks same if not worst 1 side longer ! BTW manager a young guy had walked out when i got there ! No one to complain to! read more

But I don't want to give you another chance because I don't know you didn't got my point for real or you just avoid something. The reason why I was upset the other day is not because the long waiting, it's not because of your salon doesn't accept appointment either. It's because your employees didn't doing there job at all. See, if they even one of them tell me how long time I would wait when I walked in. Or if she didn't lie to me when I asked her how many people in front of me. It would be another story. I know your employees tried to get more business for the day but that was not the right way. Keep telling me I would be the next one and then when others came serving them first because they were calling. It was not right. I check all the bad reviews and I found out I was not the only one got this situation. I wrote this update because you were look like to fix problems and I am appreciated that. My son and I walked in and the younger of two females informs me "there is a 45 minute wait"... I say " OK " sign in and say I will be back... walk over to Subway to get my son something to eat and return 25 minutes later. we sit down thinking we have a few minutes more to wait.... we wait an additional 30 minutes and see that they continue to call other people... by this time my son who is Autistic starts to get impatient so I walk over to check the list to see how many other people are ahead... I notice they have crossed out his name... I told my son lets go ... they have had us waiting here and have no intention of calling us... I Been have been to this location for about 3 months now. And I have to say, I am very satisfied. Grateful location, for those who drive, there is plenty of parking. The staff is great. Weather you have an appointment or not, they always try to accommodate and serve you as soon as possible. I come from ways out just to come get my hair cut at this location. Johana the hair stylist is awsome. Always so patient and curtious, and really listens to the customers needs. And from what I have seen. Every one around is there to give you A+ service. I returned to the Supercuts on Lakewood Blv in Downey because I was not happy with the haircut. I had uneven layers in the back that I did not appreciate at the time of the haircut (with my hair wet.) When I went back to talk to the manager about my complaint there was a shift manager and a another employee, Gabby and Kary. There were helpless saying the 7 day period had passed and were unsympathetic. I got the impression they could care less. While waiting for my issue to be resolved. Another customer came in with her small son to get His haircut corrected.. Apparently, parents in his school had commented what a poor haircut he got and since this Wed is picture day mom had to get his haircut fixed. Mom had to make an extra trip. In addition, a caller called unhappy with her haircolor (hair color was done this past Friday) and needed to schedule an appointment for re-coloring of hair. BTW the hair color and haircut that needed redoing were done by Gabby and Kary. The mom pointed out the employee to me that gave her son the terrible haircut. My hubby and I have been customers of Supercuts for a long time so we are disappointed that our store is now run by incompetent people. I highly encourage you to go to another store unless you want to waste your time coming back for repairs. Employees are not skilled and or lazy. I hope the owner gets to read this and changes are made. Maybe more traiining? Hire better employees? read more

I don't like posting bad reviews, however I think it's important to point out bad service when it's so obvious! The manager, Yolanda made me wait an hour and when it was my turn up, she took another customer who apparently called 1.5 hours in advance, which it clearly states their policy is only 30 min call in advance! As the manager, she should be more receptive to customer satisfaction and ultimately customer loyalty. And in all fairness, there are some great stylists here, like Espie & Karina, but DO NOT CUT your hair with Yolanda, a bad manager. Bad judgement on the part of the owner for hiring her for this position. read more

Gabby especially is a great hair stylist, ask for her if you go to this location, she's super friendly and very efficient, I have never had a bad hair do at her hands.
