Just wanted to share some helpful updated info for this location. This Supercuts location is my usual drop-in spot whenever I'm needing a bang cut or haircut and I don't usually request a specific stylist since I've never had a negative experience w/ any of the stylists here BUT if you are wanting to make sure you definitely get an awesome cut then I would suggest going w/ Tran. Tran is great w/ asking questions about what you are wanting & she takes the time to show you the progress of the cut to make sure that it's what you're wanting as far as length, ect. Just an fyi, she is always in popular demand w/ customers requesting her so you might want to go during non peak hours (weekends are always busy). Hope this info helps. I've had my hair cut here several times with no real incident. Sometimes it would be a bit shorter than I wanted (like this last time) or they would miss a spot, but it wasn't anything that I couldn't trim up myself at home or that time wouldn't fix. So when my boyfriend, who is trying to grow out his hair, needed a trim, I took him to my usual spot to get it evened out. He told her he was trying to grow it out, asked for no razors to be used, and to not trim the front. She ignored everything and butchered his hair. After getting home and realizing just how bad it is, we went back for a refund, which became a huge fight. They repetitively asked if he would like it cut more to be fixed. You can't fix what's already been cut. They still refused to do a refund saying that a manager was not on site. But once things escalated, one magically appeared. She finally processed the refund, but not without a ton of attitude. We will be finding a new haircut place from now on. read more

I got probably the worst haircut of my life at the local Supercuts extremely rude hair stylist also called as the "manager" here's what happens The next day, I'm starting to feel A burning and itching In the back of my neck All the symptoms of skin fungus so I decided to call the salon and I was able to talk to the person that cut my hair known as the "manager", but she didn't care about me or apologizing it's obvious that they are not properly cleaning and disinfecting their tools in between each client as required by the state I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone and never going back. P.S. This guy named Jacob S. saying he's the "manager" in charge of pretty much everything and blah blah blah It's nothing but a liar he told me on January 6 that he was going to give me my money back Today is January 19 and I'm still waiting That's what I call Lack of professionalism. read more

I went in for a pretty simple haircut. I've never had a problem with it before. The woman cutting my hair however was not getting it right. Though I kept trying to correct it, she made me feel rushed and was rude throughout the process. In the end, I had to go somewhere else to get my hair fixed, as she was unwilling to listen or take extra time to get it right. She made me feel my hair was unimportant to her. Generally haircuts are good here. Tran is by far the best even though she is one of the least English proficient speakers in the place. She is an older Asian woman with a station on the back left. As long as you are getting a pretty typical guy cut, it's a safe bet with a no-frills atmosphere. I have never gotten a shampoo or addition treatments here (although I did sign up for shampoo once and the stylist forgot....). I'm not so into the fact that they require last names sometime on the sign-in sheet. Does it really matter?!? In and out in about 15 minutes + wait time. If there's more than 4 I would come at a different time. On average they have about 2-3 stylists working at any given time. More on Saturday than during the week. read more

I visit Supercuts for waxing only. And not all waxing, because I only trust one person to do my eyebrows; however, when I've got other parts of my face I don't have time to go to my gal, or to do myself, I visit Supercuts. Usually, I go to the Guadalupe location, which has always been pretty good; however, I didn't have time to get to that location, so I went to the location in the Tech Ridge shopping area (next to Pei Wei; just north of Parmer and IH-35). Big mistake. The woman who helped me was named Juana and she was nice and friendly. Nice person, sure, but needs a refresh in waxing, or does not need to be waxing at all. She began by using really large pieces of waxing paper/cloth strips, and tried to cover large areas of my face at one time, which I've never experienced previously. When she was finished with a first pass of my lip, she began to go over it again, saying she was having a difficult time getting one or two hairs. She went over the same spot three times before I finally asked her to stop and use the tweezers because I was in a lot of pain. She laughed and said, "oh yes, it hurts, right? That part always hurts me too. It's very sensitive." After she finished, she showed me the mirror and my skin in the area she was "having trouble with" was red and it looked like my skin was broken a bit. Sure enough, I was bleeding a little. Not very much, but still bleeding. BLEEDING. After a wax. It hurt more than any other waxing I've had, and I have been getting my face waxed for 20 years. I have cooling gel at home and used it as soon as I got home and it stung. Never has cooling gel ever stung. It was so painful and the area was very red. The next day, I woke up and the area was still very red and now swollen. Applied some hydro-cortisone and that stung. Wiped off and applied some antibiotic ointment. The next day, still very red. I called the store and asked to speak to a manager; whom I spoke with. She was not at all concerned. She seemed eager to get me off the phone. She didn't ask for my name, phone, anything else to make it seem she was interested in helping or following up. She closed the call with, "okay, uh huh...thanks," and hung up on me as I was asking for her name, the owner's name or anyone else who might help. It's not about getting money back or anything, it's more about me having to ask the woman to stop. This morning, four days later, my skin has begun to crack and is peeling in that same area. I'm so very disappointed and more so, in the manager. Obviously, she didn't care at all, or thought I was exaggerating, lying, etc. I will never visit this location again. I will make a point to visit other locations, even if that means a longer trip, or sitting in horrible Austin traffic. *insert sad face (literally) here* read more

Horrible employees, the lady started to cut my sons hair after we established what he wanted. She cut half his cow lick and then asked me how I wanted it cut. I stated she had already cut it so asking me was a mute point. She them told me I wasn't making sense to which I answered that I was speaking plain English. I told her I am not a hair dresser and even then I knew not to cut someone's hair then ask how to proceed. She got aggressive so I told her again I do not fucking cut hair. Unless Tran is working (Vietnamese woman, yes she's Vietnamese because I'm her regular) DO NOT GO!! I will never be coming back to this Super Cuts unless I see Tran working because I went to this location on Monday, September 5th 2019 around 6:30ish and was treated like complete trash by Yolanda, I believe was her name. Idk the lady in the back left corner of the establishment (looking directly at the booths, as if you were walking in) The au-da-ci-ty of this miserable woman was unreal. No one would ever believe the things she was telling me!! She was insulting me while cutting my hair and I will be damned if I sit there while you insult me!! I straight up told her to stop cutting my hair (mind you, I have my head already cut 1/2 way already) and I just stood up and told her I was not going to let her finish cutting my hair. I walked out of there with literally chunks of my cut hair on my polo t-shirt still and went across the interstate to visit Kingdom Barber to finish the mess she started (Kingdom Barber only works with appointments but they made an exception in my case because they refused to let me walk out of their establishment looking the way I did). Thank the haircutting Gods that they saw me, considering it was already 7pm on a Monday evening in Austin. I don't know what her problem was but if you are so miserable and you want to take it out on your customers, how about you quit your job and find some other place to work. Decided to try to shave a couple bucks out of the budget and come here instead of a real salon . I guess you get what you pay for. It was very rushed, shampoo and a cut, and checked out all within 20 minutes. First she wanted to try cutting my naturally curly hair dry! Any curly top knows better as should any beautician. I told her i would like a shampoo so she can cut it wet. As she is washing my hair she is muttering about how my hair is already very clean.(i washed it the day before). She seemed annoyed to have to do the extra step. Then we go back to cut and i just want a trim. She mentions one side is longer and i point out that she should part and divide the hair so she can conpare top left to top right and bottom left and bottom right... what is this beauty school why do i have to tell you this basic shit? Went in today to get a bob haircut Marissa Nguyen was working she's a Vietnamese hairstylist unfortunately she was the one who I had to my hair and she ruined it . First off I asked for a bob and came out with an uneven mess. My hair was a bob more like a stacked uneven short mess. She did not listen to how I told her i parted my hair. She did what she wanted. After her doing my hair she let me see it wet and of course I really couldn't tell much so I asked her to dry it some,and that was an issue because I the Covid she said they had to limit the drying but made a face and did it some anyway. After about 3 minutes of drying I asked to see the back of my hair and that's when I saw the mess she did!!! Totally unacceptable. When I brought it to her attention she started to get loud with me and blame me for what I asked her. She said this what I told her to do and I told her this was absolutely not what I asked for. I've been getting bobs for a long time and I know exactly what to ask for this was a disaster. Anyways luckily the manager walked in and heard about my issue she tried to talk to the hairdresser and all she kept doing at that point was practically yell at me and the manager had to tell her to go to the back because she liked like she wanted to get in my face! My son and I have been going to SuperCuts for over 13 years. We have been using the online reservation tool at the SuperCuts website. I did it today and received a confirmation email for my appountment time. When I arrived I told them I had an appointment and they said sit down. About 30 minutes later, and after my appointment time O asked when I would go. It was then they told me they do not honor confirmed appointments and I would have to wait about one and a half hours or more until everyone else their had their haircut. They were rude and I left. I really like this location for many reasons. It's right by my house, no appointments needed but, if you are getting color like I do you should make sure there is someone there who can do it and the staff is super friendly. The first time I had it highlighted 2 colors I wasn't too happy with the outcome. It wasn't all the way to the roots, grew out fast and the color was off. The next time I called ahead to see if there was someone else and they said yes. This was the day that I met Juana (sorry if I spelled your name wrong. She is everything you look for in a stylist, great colorist, skilled at stylish cuts and great chair conversation. We laughed, shared stories and I left looking like a head turner! I have had my hair done by her twice now and this last time I had it darkened for the winter. AMAZING AMAZING and I can't tell you how many compliments I have gotten on my hair color. It's black with a cherry brown color in it. Some people didn't even recognize me. The color is well placed and switches nicely between the two to compliment each other! I was also happy to see that she won stylist or colorist of the month (I think it was month)! Why pay more in an expensive salon and make an appointment two weeks from now, if you can call on that day, walk in and pay less for the same quality? read more

I'm done with this location. I'm a long time visitor, for multiple years. So much in fact that Supercuts always sends me text messages with Coupons. However both times I've tried to use these coupons, it's exploded into a huge argument between myself and the employee(s). Yesterday I received a coupon for $2 off a haircut, I came in and mentioned I had a coupon, they told me wait until after the cut. Got my haircut, good to go. I come to the register and pull up the text message. The message says to text a code back and I'll receive an activation: which I did. The employee then begins to argue with me that they don't accept coupons like that and that they only have a Mother's Day special going on. After about 5-10 minutes or arguing with multiple employees I give in and just want to leave. This is the second time they've refused to honor corporate coupons. It makes me think that they are hiding something. I won't be back, even though after this visit I got yet another appreciation coupon for a free haircut. They don't take their time with the haircuts and try to rush you through as quickly as possible. It seems like they care more about quantity than quality. When the stylist was finished cutting my hair I asked for some modifications and before the stylist started cutting again she said "ru sure this is what you want? I don't want to cut a third time". Now mind you this is probably 10 minutes into a men's haircut. I'm not sure why she was rushing but the end result was I had to come back to get it revised. Fast and efficient, I was very pleased with my haircut! Two days later I told my hubby how impressed I was that it wasn't just good the day of the haircut (ladies, you get me here). I would definitely go back and recommend Rita! And I did! Today! I called ahead because I couldn't remember Rita's name (I lost her card). She answered warmly again and I was so excited! Told her I would be coming in within the hour. I waited maybe 20 minutes, no biggie. Once I sat down she got to it quickly again! She seemed to remember me from months prior.
