As long as I have lived in the neighborhood, this is where I have come to get my haircut. The shop on the corner. It's exactly what I like. I take a stroll it seems like almost always a very nice day, even if it's freezing and I'm dressed warm enough to make it a nice walk, when I get there, Griselda (Owner) always has such a warm welcome for me. Quiet and shy at first, but the sweetest personality and warmest bedside manner a patient could ask for. I have always received the exact cut I had asked for and even once when I stopped by just to say hello, I had been sat down and given a shampoo and a haircut which I so desperately needed. Not being able to pay for one from being out of work for a while, that was not an issue for Griselda. She has the touch your Mom would have if you sat down and had a haircut from her. At times when I stopped by and needed some hair product, I was given product they used for guests of the shop at no cost until they restocked the product which I needed (and they will have it there the very next day!). I was shocked by some of these other reviews when I found them and could only assume these people may have needed to remember "whats the rush?" ...I mean, go to supercuts and get in and out in five minutes or something. A hair cut is more of an experience of life in itself. Time slows at a Salon and its worth the wait. I have also been in the chair of Gerald the owner. Having the most honest guy to guy conversation you could have in a chair. Might as well been a nickel barber shop in the fifties. Only thing missing was the red white and blue striped pole and a hamburger and frosty shop next door. Over all, I go there for the familiarity, the great service and even hospitality lent to me in times of need, even when I didn't ask for it. And, by the way, I never once had to ask for the hospitality lent to me. Thanks for being a friend to me and for all the help you guys have given me over the past 2 years. I'm moving out of the neighborhood in less than 2 weeks, but definitely remaining true to my friendships built and even patronage at Styles Hair Studio's. I was recommended to this hair salon by a friend and I am so glad I checked it out! I had previous stylists that ruined my hair by cutting it unevenly. Here, I have found a new hair stylist that has not only fixed my hair, but has helped me grow my hair out by regular hair trims, conditioning treatments, and gives me wonder hair styles. I have uncontrollable curly hair, and she straightens it for me every time I get a hair trim. I've also recently got a chi treatment for a very reasonable price, so I can now straighten and style my hair just as easily on my own! I have been getting wonderful compliments on my hair since I have been coming to Styles Hair Studios. They have a very nice and knowledgeable staff and they all seem to be very experienced. Katya Botirzoda is an absolutely amazing hairstylist with such talent and expertise. I was very impressed and will be a lifelong client. In fact, she came to the salon to cut my son's hair and trim his beard while he was home from college. In addition to Katya's experience with both men and women - she is great with children also. I love this place. It's a hidden joule right off Mopac. Everybody is friendly but the main reason I keep on going is Griselda! She did my hair before my wedding and I have been going to her ever since. Not only she is quick and pleasant, and I get a ton of compliments whenever she cuts my hair, but there is one thing in particular I love: she waxes my eyebrows. I know that most guys would not feel comfortable with that, but the truth is that I need to constantly fight a nasty uni brow and waxing is way faster than plucking and she does it so gently that I do not feel a thing. Let me start off by saying.... LOVE THIS PLACE ALREADY! I live right around the corner from and I plan to use as go to salon! I'll admit I was a little skeptical at first since I've always had the same personal stylist at visible changes.... So when she left, I was devastated and left to start over.... Like over, over that I had at least 2 inches worth of split ends (yuck)!! The staff is super friendly, accommodated my needs and did a superb job! I have no regrets stopping here for my cut and honestly, I think Jackie did a much better job than any of the staff could have done at visible changes!!! Next up: blonde highlights... I was trying to find a place that could cut my hair like my favorite artist( yandel) and no one on austin could make it the way i wanted until one day a friend of mine told me that he knew a great hair stylist at STYLES HAIR STUDIOS that she could make my hair the way i wanted so one day i decided to go there and try it out i showed them the picture of the look i wanted and the after the stylist saw it she just answered that hair curt is like a day on the park to me , and i told her well we'll see so she cut my hair and it definetly looked no just they way i wanted it looked a lot better .3 read more

Styles hair studio is amazing. Super clean and organized place. Katy did my color AND hair extensions. Had ordered my hair color packs for extensions and completed EVERYTHING in just two days(the day they arrived at the salon). Amazing work and so quick with everything. This has been my local haircut spot for the past 3 years. I've never received a bad cut from any stylist there. Always been prompt, professional and most importanty friendly! I came into Styles to get a bad hair cut fixed. It was already a short bob length so I was terrified how short I'd have to go to fix it. Dorothy took her time and made my hair look amazing! it's probably the best cut Ive ever had. And when I went to check out and they told me it was $35 I almost passed out! What a great price for a phenomenal hair cut. The salon is great too. Very laid back. The salon I got the bad hair cut at is actually a very upscale and high priced salon. This place is a "sleeper!" More people should know about this LOCAL business, clean and relaxed. My hairdresser, Dorothy Kirkconnell is working here now. She is a gorgeous professional hairdresser who has worked at Saks, her own hair studio and now is here in this little shopping center of all LOCAl businesses @ MoPac and Burnet. The new Domain is nearby and should bring in a lot of new business also. Dorothy has been a professional hairdresser since age 18. This place is very good! I get my haircut by Jerald and he has been doing this for over 20 years and knows his stuff. He takes the time needed to get your hair the way you want it. I usually keep a long top and short sides (taper fade). He grooms my beard too! read more
