Went to super taco, I have never been. It's a standard interior of a Taqueria. You have to go up and order food and then they bring it to the table. I had a chili Riano and it was good, not great but good solid food. Their service was good and all around a good experience. read more

I ordered a carnitas plate. Carnitas were so dry as if they were left out under the sun for days. I called the restaurant to advise of my experience and the response from the smarty pants was, "I didn't serve it". No sweety you didn't serve it, but you represent this so called restaurant. Absolute garbage. They gave us 4 stale chips for 3 people, with not even a quarter container of pico. Then our food came, I got a pastor burrito and it tasted like straight up canned corned beef. My mom got nachos and they were stale and barely any in there for $15. Their horchata just tasted like watered down milk and was gross. Terrible, I will deter anyone from eating here. read more

Super Taco is gross. Our order tonight was chicken mole enchilada, nachos, a roasted jalapeño and horchata. The chicken mole enchilada was in fact not chicken mole but rather a tasteless red sauce. The nachos were soggy stale chips you would find sold at a grocery store. The guacamole was disgusting and brown and the cheese was non existent. I love a super burrito, but I have 1 issue... about 2 out of every five times I get one it is rolled up WRONG; how you ask can a burrito be rolled wrong, well visualize all the items in your burrito lined up one after another: cheese | beans | rice | meat | guacamole | sour cream| now if I roll up folding the lines on top of each other I have a masterpiece of blended goodness in each bite, it I roll the items so the roll up on top of themselves, I get a bite or two of each ingredient with just a little of the one in back or in front of it, making it a bit gross, bland, or basic. So when I get a burrito from here I have to unroll it and stir it all up inside to make sure I don't get an all sour cream bite (yuk!) I am writing this review for two reasons, to say yes great food, but also to say: get slow down and don't ruin the food by screwing up the presentation! May this review stop me from having to unroll and make a mess out of my burrito insides before it's safe to eat! read more

Had Menudo here today, big bowl was great. Couple carne asada taco's to go with it. Where were the chickpeas though? I did not miss them. I was not paying attention to prices but it came to 12 bucks and change. Worth it. Carne asada had great flavor as well. I would have gone to Chavez but come on, it was freakin freezin rainy and windy out! Nice to have a hot bowl of soup on a cold day at Super Taco- will repeat. Ah Super Taco--don't let the name fool you. It's the best burrito in town. Of all the taquerias in Ukiah, this is my favorite. I don't know if they have the best food in town, but their burritos are part of the local soul. I have been going here since I was a teenager, so I suppose that means twenty years. That's a whole lotta burritos. Quick note: if you are not from California but want some real Mexican food, find a taqueria. There should be menus with lots --or all--of Spanish, plenty of pictures of Jesus on the walls, some people sitting there drinking beer, and Mexican Coca-Cola. Also, if you want to start an argument in a group of Californians, ask them which is the best taqueria in town. I'm only posting this part because I was talking to somebody from Ohio and they asked me if we had a Chipotle, and I said...Yeah we have one. I don't eat there though." "Where do you get Mexican food then?" I said a taqueria, and she said "takarito" or something like that. Follow my instructions, and order something with carnitas in the name. Back to Super Taco. I usually get the carne asada super burrito, but sometimes I am in a carnitas mood. Both are equally delightful. They are also huge, so you'll probably get another meal out of them. Service is fast. The tacos themselves are also very good. Lately I have been experimenting with a pollo mole super burrito. It's juicy as all hell, but fantastic. The mole plate is also good. My kids have been raised on their beans and rice. The chimichanga is great, although it seems hard to screw one of those up. I've had other items from the menu as well--the chilaquiles are spicy and grubworthy. Be sure to get an egg or two on top. The milanesa (breaded and fried steak) was a nice find. I tried the camarones a la diabla (spicy shrimp), but at the time I was not prepared for the satanic heat they delivered. The atmosphere is casual, and there will probably be locals there. It's not fancy, and that's something I appreciate. I'm giving it five stars--I'll admit I'm biased, but I have an internal Super Taco clock that starts to go off every few weeks. I always want to try something new, but then I usually give in to my love for the super burrito. Bonus points for the optical illusion pictures on the wall. read more

Pretty solid spot for a place that serves authentic Mexican food and serves their customers quickly as well. I really like the salsas they have as they also serve a variety of different kinds of salsas. Every time I visit this spot, I always order a horchata, I'm not sure what they do to make theirs taste so good but they are the best around. Anything with shredded chicken is excellent from here as it is marinated and cooked to perfection! Unfortunately, if I had to pick a favorite Mexican restaurant in Ukiah, I would probably choose El Mojcalete over this place but that doesn't take away the fact that Super Taco is a good decision if you decide to have lunch or dinner here. read more

It seems the people of Ukiah have no idea what good Mexican food is, or the textures of classic dishes. We were shopping in the area and read local reviews of this place. So we decided to stop here. We ordered a carne asada quesadilla and nachos. I have never in my life have seen that much oil separate from the cheese. I think they microwaved it, due to the tortilla wasn't grilled. I'm sure the meat was ground. My girl took a few bites, and had to stop. The grease was dripping everywhere. As for the nachos, have you ever seen soggy chips? There was ample cheese, about a cup of sour cream and 2 tbl guacamole. You couldn't even pick up a chip. They pulled apart from being blasted in the microwave. I asked a passing worker if I could get a different dish as this was in edible, I was told that this was the correct was that they make them, and nobody ever complains. I asked her if I could exchange it for a shredded chicken super burrito. She looked upset and walked away. A few minutes later, she came back and aggressively gave me the new item. She proceeded back to the kitchen where we could hear her talking about us to her co-workers. It only took two bites to recognize that something was terribly wrong with this burrito. It tasted fishy. At this point, the $17.00 just wasn't worth the food that would later cause us pain. We walked out, leaving everything behind and hungry. I did make a complaint with the health board about the possible tampering or the multiple safety and sanitation issues happening there. Either way; we are never going back. read more

This restaurant usually features few migrant workers chowing down. You know a mexican place is bomb when its filled with people who look like the last time they opened their wallet was to pay the coyote who smuggled them in to the States. The tacos are authentic-style: small but piled high, with two tortillas on the bottom. The super burritos are huge and cheap and loaded with rich guac and sour cream and cheese. Wouldn't seem out of place in the Mission in SF. Mexican tunes can usually be heard blaring from the jukebox. The music can get annoying to us gringos after a while, but it seems to me that a burrito is always a bit more satisfying when accompanied by some horns and guitar and someone singing his ass off about god knows what. read more

The food quality has declined in the last 18 months- my chicken burrito (shredded ) with red sauce was not edible. Something happened to this restaurant in the past 18 months. The staff changed, and the food definitely did not improve. All the basic Mexican standards. This is an order-at-the-counter and pay, server-brings-meal-to-table kind of place. The juke box plays too loudly for my tastes.
