Stopped in for lunch on our way home from camping. Just picked this spot on a whim. When we arrived we were the only people inside. We noticed it's counter service, so we took our time reading their menu on the wall before ordering at the register. I ordered their veggie burrito and my friend got the two piece combo plate with a cheese enchilada and a shredded chicken flauta. We also got two jamacia's and some chips and salsa. Food came out pretty quickly. As for the portions, they were a good size for the price. My veggie burrito was ok, not out of this world, but not the worst. The cheese enchilada was really good, great red sauce and it had a nice little crunch. My friend really enjoyed the rest of her combo plate. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. I was excited about having a burrito here instead of goin to my usual spot, i ordered an enchilada burrito with carne asada for the meat, well unfortunately the burrito was not very good, the enchilada sauce was way to sweet like when you make mole but put way too much much cinnamon and clove and pilonce (Brown sugar cone) not balanced at all kinda dry since no sauce inside. The chips had no salt but i get it i guess, i ask for spicy salsa, it was barely medium but an off flavor which i can't understand. Anyway it wasn't a good experience everything was bland except for the clove. I don't recommend this enchilada burrito. The younger lady was a little uptight but not rude, the older lady that was working behind the work counter was very nice. I feel bad about my experience but im just being honest . The tacos were quite tasty. The chips and salsa were good too. The service was fast and friendly. Why then only a two review. 5 minutes into my meal The entire restaurant team hit the dining room floor with strong smelling cleaning chemicals and completely drenched the floor. The restaurant was still open and serving food. Obviously, employees want to get home early. But doing a major sanitizing wash of the restaurant while customers are in this restaurant eating, especially with strong smelling chemicals, is unprofessional. Important: I am not hypersensitive to smells. The chemicals they use to clean the floor or strong smelling and splashed onto the floor two feet away from where I was sitting. read more

Went with. burrito bowl carne asada. Packaging was good. Plastic fork was pretty flimsy. Everything was hot. It tasted good. Not over whelming great. Very light on protein. It was also pretty small chopped up pieces. Salsa was good. Chips were good. It was $11.98. Fairly priced. Prepared in 10 minutes. Like that they have breakfast burritos and may try those. read more

I recently visited M. P. To order food to go. Which is usually what I do. M. P. Has been my favorite M. F. Rest. I love the burrito enchilada (in a bowl instead of a tortilla). This is my favorite primarily because of the shredded beef andmole sauce. It is the best and has been my favorite for years. This last visit it seemed that the business might be under new ownership. If you like salsa this is your restaurant! They have the usual Mexican restaurant fare with excellent street tacos. And really good chips to go with the salsa. There are several salsa choices and you can have as many as you want with your order. I really like the green one. I come here every time I am in town to get at least one street taco. The staff is really friendly and they have some nice outdoor seating in addition to indoor seating. It's in an odd location strip mall type spot but east enough to find and a quick stop for lunch if you are traveling. read more

I was very upset the last time I stopped by here. The workers were so rude, even my toddler noticed that they were not being kind at all. I don't believe people would enjoy eating where they won't make you feel welcomed. Also, these last couple of months the food hasn't been very tasteful. It's been very bland. Picked up food for a group of people. Every item we ordered was disappointing. The only exception was the breakfast burrito. Lots of rice in the burritos and very little meat. Small on size as well. There were a few tiny pieces of tough beef in it and the consistency of the entire thing was like eating mush. The young woman working there acted like she was doing me a favor by taking my order. For $8.50 I couldn't go wrong with a double combo plate. Tried the chile relleno and enchiladas. The chile relleno was way too oily and soggy. The enchiladas were good, nothing special about them. The salsas that came with the chips were all flavorless and watery, you'd be better off with your girl Cholula. The service was really great, the place was clean, but the food was nothing special. Meh. I ordered the pork carnitas super nachos. I received a pile of chips, topped with almost too cold sour cream and cold beans with a dollop of pork and some salsa. I was not impressed. The Salsa was average, somewhat mild. I can't stand spending more than $15 for cold food and I actually sat down to eat in the restaurant. I also have to mention that at this restaurant, it's in the fast casual style. So you order, pay and then you sit down. The tip setting on the registers is getting outrageous, which at this place is set to 18%, 20%, 25% for gratuity, and of course custom. If you want good tips, then deliver a great food product and provide your customers with good service, not a grab and go sit down. Hard pass for me next time I'm in the area. read more

The food here is AMAZING! Everything is homemade with fresh ingredients from family recipes. I ordered the taquitos with shredded beef and a side of rice and beans and it was heaven! The kids had vege burritos with beans, cheese, lettuce, pico, guac, and crema and I wished I had more stomach space to order my own. Service is fantastic, owner and son took the time to chat with us. I drenched my burrito and my chips in red "hot" sauce and green "spicy" jalapeno sauce and I didn't even break a sweat. I think I could have gulped it like water. This little gem is a must go to. We live in San Francisco and every time we drive near or through Ukiah we make a stop here. The food is very authentic. The rice and beans are super fresh and delicious. I have had the tacos, and specials like posole and menudo. Every thing I have ordered has been excellent. They have a great staff that is friendly and helpful. They make you feel like they're bringing you into their home and the food is so comforting. I highly recommend. Wish it was closer to SF. read more

So I ordered by phone today 8/4/2020 soft tacos, when I went to pick up my order I noticed that some tacos were missing, then a lady said my order was complete but NOT because she didn't wrote it down as I said and with a very aggressive attitude she insisted she was right. So I was very calming and I told her," that's ok just put the extra ones together with my order and I'll take it but then she just keep insisting that I was wrong! Seriously I know some businesses are busy and stressful but sometimes like in this case" the client is right"! The first thing my wife and I noticed when we walked in was how filthy the place is. Every vacant table had dirty dishes and utensils from prior customers. There was no sense of urgency in keeping the place clean. My wife ordered a burrito bowl however they brought a burrito instead. We explained that we ordered the burrito bowl so the burrito was taken behind the counter and warmed in a toaster oven for 5-10 minutes. The cook then took the burrito and empty bowl into the back and clearly emptied the contents of the burrito into the bowl. The bowl was then offered to my wife who refused it and got her money back. It is not okay to take a mistake into the back where no one can see, then alter it in any way and make an attempt to present it as an original dish. That is called sleazy. Prior to leaving we watched as this same guy, apparently the owner, bring clean silverware from the back clutched in his fist. With his other hand he grabbed each utensil by the service end and restock the silverware container. Do you want to eat with a fork that had this guys thumb and forefinger around the tongs, or a spoon or knife that had the eating end handled in the same way? There are so many other places to eat, why play roulette with your health? read more
