My husband and I haven't stepped inside a McDonald's for over 25 years (maybe to use the restroom while traveling because they have a great reputation for the cleanest facilities). Was super excited to bring my 4-year-old for his very first happy meal! We decided to head over because we heard about the Toy Story 4 promotion and my son is now obsessed with the movie. We ordered a happy meal and were excited to learn they offer organic apple juice box as one of the options and fresh apple slices. We are a "crunchy" family, so this was a nice healthy treat! We requested his burger to be without a bun (we are also gluten free). And they dressed it up on some fresh leaf lettuce. He didn't really like the burger, but my daughter enjoyed it...so I'm glad that they're trying to make strides in offering healthier options. He loved the french fries, but was disappointed when the toy he received was Cinderella from wreck it Ralph. My husband asked if he could get an actual toy story prize, and they were kind enough to give us one. Surely put a smile on my son's face! Have to say they keep the restaurant really clean. There was a sign posted outside that clearly read: no panhandling, no loitering and there was a homeless person that decided to leave their mess. The employee quickly picked up all the rubbish and scraps of food left behind. Thank you again for making such a fun memory for my son as you did for me back in the 1980s when I got my first Happy Meal -- a plastic sand pail with blue shovel. Had a bad experience with an employee there. He worked the drive thru as a cashier and was very rude. You could tell he didn't want to be there. I believe his name was Chris. He had long black hair and had red highlights in his hair as well. When I went through the drive thru he was very rude. He didn't have good customer service. Would recommend removing him from interacting with Customers. When I went through the drive thru he took my card and didn't really want to talk to me. After giving me back my card he very rudely told me to have a good day and slammed the window. The coffee selection which I came for was decent but what's lacking is all the power outlets are inoperable. Adding to that misery, I got kicked off the internet in a very short time (perhaps 10 minutes). There's no getting back on with the same device. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Multiple "unthinkables" in a single day. I'm doing the most annoying thing ever-- rating a chain. Next thing you know I'll be rating starbux and motel6. Ugh. I cannot believe I'm sitting in a McDonald's but it's 100 degrees. The kids need to burn some energy. There's no way I'm going to torture myself at the park right now so I'm torturing myself here instead, for we neeeeed air conditioning. Two soft serves served up by some grouchy slowpokes and we're off to the the main attraction: playland! Oh joy!! I've driven by hundreds of these over the years but this is my first time inside one. It's a large open space with tables and a big play structure, video games and air hockey (and air conditioning!). Kids are happy. I'm yelping. I miss the beach. Whatever. I hope I never get this desperate again. One star because McDonald's is fucking disgusting and you shouldn't even be reading this... but if you need a place to turn the midgets loose this will work. Very new looking store. Attractive modern design inside and out. Women's restroom was fine, though there was quite a bit of hand-soup sploshed out on the counter. Husband ordered food and paid with a $20 but the cashier had run out of $1 bills and it took many minutes for them to get more, all the while she couldn't use her register and my husband was standing around waiting for his money. Area near the ketchup dispenser was messy. Overall "okay" visit but I was expecting a lot better based on the very attractive appearance. Soda was fine and order was filled accurately. read more

This is McDonald's... I don't expect anything fancy or anyting extraordinary. But I am a little disappointed at the lack of customer service. I wanted extra pickles on my burger, I forgot to ask so before they gave me my burger I asked if I can add the extra pickles and was told no unless I wanted to wait three minutes so they could remake the burger even though I asked them if they could just put a couple of pickle slices on the side in a little bag that they use for fries or something. The answer was no, they would have to remake the sandwich so I would have to wait another 3 minutes. That's f****** ridiculous. read more

If you want to place an order to another human being you can't. Literally have to visit the kiosk and type it in yourself. We were told that the manager had made it mandatory that customers place kiosk orders. The machines were covered in greasy finger prints and the menu is not very user friendly. I had to type on this disgusting then re-wash my hands before I ate. There are pages and pages of options to wade through where I could have just told the nice smiling employees that I wanted a cheese burger with no onion. Save yourself a headache and drive through or don't come to this location at all. We are going to bypass this location from now on. Addendum: after I wrote this review I witnessed three other people complain to the Manager, not the shift manager but the top manager of this location. The Perkins Street McDonald's I avoid at all cost. The management in the daytime can be downright rude-and they ridiculously only give 3 sauce packets with a 20 piece. The ice cream/ shake machine is problematic as well. Food cold and forgotten items in drive-thru. Rarely give napkins in Togo orders drive-thru. Who designed the 2 lane merge into one lane in drive-thru? Really a confusing issue if the other lane is not willing to let you in. read more

The reason is that they only hire one person to work the cash register at a time, even when it is really busy. They are also very very rude. Recently came to California for a few months and stopped into the So Ukiah McDonalds for lunch. I walked up to the counter and the person behind the counter came out and took me over to the Kiosk to enter my own order. Keep in mind, I can build webpages and Im very computer literate but I REFUSE to enter my own order. The last little bit of customer service and McDonalds wants to get rid of it. I just had the unfortunate experience of using the restroom at the McDonald's on north State St in Ukiah, Ca. prior to offering food. I found the employees to be a little rude, at first. They were to become quite hostile, to the point that I will never spend another dime on any product or in any facility bearing its name or logo. In all fairness, I am 63 & on major antibiotics and pain meds which complicate the process so I take a little time in the bathroom. I was unaware that your usage is monitored and in short order, I had employees pounding on the door and yelling at me for having been in the restroom for over 30 minutes. As I washed my hands, further insults. It was the single most humiliating event in my life. I had sent a text to a friend just prior to entering the bldg and, as I was waiting to exit the parking lot for the last time, I glanced at my phone. It had been 14 minutes since I walked in & sent my friend a msg. Did I mention the employee, who didn't look a day over 10, standing at the door threatening me with law enforcement. Fortunately, I've been to the zoo and am aware that monkeys through poo. I did not know they also worked in food service. read more

I think you have to ignore some of the older reviews, as this McDonalds was torn down and rebuilt a few years ago. I've never personally had any issues with this one. To me, this is what a McDonald's should be: convenient fast food with a relatively clean place to eat it. It's new, clean, my orders have always been correct, and staff has always been friendly. I've used the optional Kiosk a couple times and there was always someone there to help. I've never had to wait very long, unless they were really busy. read more

Since this restaurant reopened after the renovation I have been dissatisfied every time I've visited. Even though this McDonald's IS McDonald's it is easily the worst one I've ever visited purely based on the customer service I've received. They have screwed up my order on three memorable occasions At one point I recall walking in and ordering a big Mac meal. The employee there charged me 5 dollars and change I handed her a ten and as she opened the register I realized I had change in my pocket. I tried to hand her the change and get a five dollar bill back instead of four and change she denied my request saying that she couldn't take the change because "it was already in the computer" I explained to her that me giving her change would not put the register over or under it would Just give me a 5 dollar bill. She then began to argue with me stating again that "it was already in the computer" and instead of requesting managerial assistance with her inability to perform basic arithmetic she handed me my change. Needless to say I was enraged. Do not visit this McDonald's drive the extra 2 minutes to Burger king or you will find yourself utterly dissappointed. This place is pathetic. read more

I had this for dinner the other day and although I was pleased with the service and quality of the food, I was very upset at the fact that there was no love put into bagging up the food. Went to the drive through for a shake. Got to the menu order sign and there was a very sloppy written note that all ice cream machines were down. Now I had three cars in front of me and two in back so I was trapped. I had to wait several minutes just to get out of the line. This location is the worst McDonalds I have ever experienced (and I have 2 grown children who loved McDonalds). We were traveling through the area and desperate for a bite to eat. We stopped in the McDonalds and were greeted nicely by ONE employee at the register. First, as stated by others previous reviews, the service is extremely slow, we think it is due to the number of people working, or not, there. While waiting we witnessed a poor soul in a wheel chair with a broken front wheel. Being that I was with an amazing man he inquired on her behalf to see if something could be done. He was greeted by a cold, unfeeling, person who has no empathy for another human being. The employee was unsympathetic and unwilling to assist this woman who was obviously homeless and in need. Not only did this show the type of establishment this is it also shows the type of people who work there.
