Issues include: Dried gel all over my skin on almost every single nail. Uneven application. Nails have lumps on the outer edges from polish pooling on the outsides and getting cured that way. There was so much gel dried on my pinky that she had to cut off extra skin just to get it off. Apparently that was skin I needed because it hurts now. I still have hangnails on several nails even after she used the clippers to try to clean them up. I wish I had noticed how rough this was at the salon but I left thinking it was fine and am now disappointed and stuck using a nail file to try to clean it up myself. Not sure if this is the norm for this place or a one-off bad experience, but I'm pretty unhappy with this result.

My manicurist didn't bother to trim or clean the cuticles -- something every standard refill includes -- especially when using a drill. The salon is bare-bones already, but skipping basic steps is unacceptable. Then I was told to come back the next day with my blue, yet they still intended to charge me more. Suddenly the price jumped by another $20. That was never discussed or agreed to. When I expressed (rightfully) that the experience didn't match the quoted price or standard service, one of the employees began screaming, panicking, and making unintelligible noises while threatening to call the police -- over what, I still don't know. I never refused payment; in fact, I paid and even tipped. But the behavior was bizarre, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. There was no attempt to resolve the issue, explain the price changes, or provide adequate service. The work itself was mediocre at best -- you can get better quality for a lower price at the nicer salons literally one mall down. Avoid this place at all costs -- poor technique, inconsistent pricing, zero communication, and the worst customer service I've experienced at any nail salon.

They're a charming, family-run salon that offers a wonderful customer experience. I received a gel pedicure and full set of acrylics this last visit. Pedicure used classpass credits but for the fresh acrylics and tip I paid $80. Ly is incredibly detail oriented. She was so meticulous about my nails and took the time to make sure I liked them throughout the process. I struggle with acrylics because techs I've used in the past have been aggresive and my nails/cuticles are sore for the first couple of days, but Ly is so talented and I didn't have this issue at all. It is clear that this family cares about their work and they take the time to make sure everyone leaves satisfied and I noticed this in their treatment of other clients there at the time as well. Because it is just the three of them, be prepared to spend some time there especially if its busy and for a fresh set of acrylics. Their teamwork is seamless and efficient, and their service is very personalized and throrough. Thank you Ly for being patient with me when I had to run out to catch a movie in time! It felt like Vicky half-assed the entire pedicure. I added the callus remover as an extra and she barely applied the product and did two swipes with the remover equipment. My nails aren't cut straight and a couple nails at crooked. She also took the nail file over my big toe after she painted and had the nails under the light... and it's now super rough over the nail polish and messed up the polish. She handed me the ticket to pay and got up and walked away without even leaving me a pathway to get up from the chair, leaving her equipment cart in that spot, it was the technician right next to her that kindly moved it for me. Overall, the vibes in the salon are great! I would just avoid Vicky as a nail tech.

He was a little rough to the touch as times with my pedi. The pulling and moving my feet & toes quickly and/ or forcing them down from time to time was uncomfortable. I didn't say anything but looked at him. The manicure wasn't done completely. He massaged my forearm but missed my hands. I asked if he was going to massage my hands, he looked at me and said yes, but no massage to my hand was performed. I looked around at other customers and their hands were massaged a little after their forearm. Their tech had them wash their hands afterwards. Ken had me wash my hands right after my forearm. He polished my nails and said thank you. He placed a fan in front of my hands but didn't say how long I needed to stay in front of the fan. Normally im told 2 mins etc...I touched my nails after 3 mins and turned off the fan. When I checked out I did let the lady know it wasn't a good experience for me this time. She inquired, I told her Ken didn't ask me if I wanted any water etc..as I watch other customer receive sodas & waters. The lady replied, oh really he normally does. I replied he didn't. I said I didn't appreciate all the pulling / tugging as well as him placing the fan in front of me and not saying how long I needed to dry my nails. The receptionist excuse for Ken's behavior was he doesn't speak English which I thought was bananas. I still have a small tip, but asked that he not be assigned to me again. She agreed in doing so. I thought about my experience on my way home. A mani/ pedi is not cheap. If I can't enjoy it and relax I'd rather not return nor refer any more friends to their shop. I'm disappointed. R. Chambers
