Olivia Bros - Chicken Baku Sandwich

I was a bit confused when I walked up expecting a food truck and only saw chairs outside, looks…read morelike they're going to lease the restaurant building that was previously there and one of the owners said that they will have 3 separate restaurants there, Olivia Bros, a pizza place, and a burger place--how exciting! I had a really nice chat with one of the owners there and they all seem like really lovely people--kind hearted with little kids around so hopefully they stay around for some time! They were still redoing the front of house so not sure when they will open fully but looking forward to trying more Azerbaijan food. Since I've never had Azerbaijan food before, I asked for a recommendation and he said all of the food is good but did say that the chicken shawarma was big and I was feeling a bit hungry so went with that. It came with fries and some peppers, which reminded me of banana peppers. Not spicy with a briney taste to it, great accompaniment. He also tossed in this yogurt drink (I didn't get the name) that was tasty. Overall, good food and will be back to try their lamb kebabs and the burger as well and interested to see what their pizzas will be like as well. Love seeing small family businesses like this and hope they do well!

This is their most recommended dish and for good reason. Side of fries were nice and crispy too: I also tried the grilled chicken plate and that was pretty good as well. Again, good portion! On my first visit, they offered a drink for free and I tasted the Ayran (yogurt based drink). Friendly people. Next time, I'll try the Baku Chicken sandwich. Btw, it's in a small parking lot next to a restaurant, and you should have parking spots at the back. There always seems to be a decent crowd occupying the tables near the food truck.

They have tables outside and also tables inside. For food we got to try: * Appetizer combo - this came with hummus, babaganoush, Labneh & dolmades. I really enjoyed all of them and the warm basket of pita this came with. Everything tasted very flavorful and fresh which i loved * Chicken shish kabob plate - this was yummy and came with well marinated , juicy chicken which I really loved. The plate also came with rice, a yummy salad, and roasted tomato/bell pepper. I really liked how all the flavors went so well together * Chicken Adana kabob wrap with fries - Hubby ordered this and really enjoyed this. The fries were also very crispy and came with a nice aioli sauce. Overall really enjoyed the food here and would come back!

There's seating indoors and outdoors - but looks like they're still working on the interior of the restaurant. I got the mixed grill plate to try all the different meats and they were all delicious. The beef especially was cooked perfectly. Even the rice was buttery and well seasoned. It was actually so good that I came here the next day to pick up a to-go order for dinner. It definitely wasn't as good and the lamb was dry, overall the food seemed old to me because the rice was hard compared to the day before. I was quite disappointed. I recommend the chicken adana, that was the meat that was consistently good on both days. It's also on the pricier side (~$25 per plate) and the portion size of meat is less than I'd like at this price point. But if cooked fresh I'd say it's 100% worth it. The place is still pretty new so I hope they can fix this consistency issue.

If you're looking for something warm and soulful while boosting your immune system: Kadhi Kachori! A specialty at Chatpata India, Kadhi Kachori ($11.99) is North Indian Street Food of curry with a fried fritter: https://tinyurl.com/te656uwn The turmeric-rich, yogurt-based curry is served piping hot with a large lentil fritter sliced into triangular pieces. A fantastic balance of bold tangy flavors and crispy-soft textures with the raw diced onions giving a sweet sharpness. My only gripe is I requested it to be spicy but it was more mild-medium spicy. Maybe they thought we couldn't handle the heat so requesting desi spicy next time. Equally delicious is their Dahi Sev Puri w/ potatoes, tamarind + mint cilantro chutney, yogurt, sev (8 pc - $7.99): https://tinyurl.com/2rvnu4k3 The crunchy shell (semolina-based) is filled with spiced potatoes, topped with myriad of sauces, crunchy sev (fried chickpea noodles), and something tart...reminiscent of pomegranate seeds. Great contrasting textures and punchy flavors from the chutneys. Overall, Kadhi Kachori is not the easiest thing to find so Chatpata India is def worth a visit you're in the area! We sat outside the truck they have some seating arrangement, quite cozy! Comes with a bowl of chole/chana, a little salad, pickle and raita and two big bhatures. The chole are not overly spicy and they dont burn out throat which I appreciate and like, they are appropriately spiced unlike other well known chat places in Sunnyvale. The bhature were crispy and were a little oily but thats expected. Cant wait to eat this again!
