Back and forth with my feelings on this restaurant! I've had to let it simmer for a few days honestly. We have been waiting months for it to open, and I feel like all the hype- was just way to much honestly. The good: The sandwiches were very good. Thigh chicken, little breading- so dang tender! I read other reviews, so I was hesitant- but mine was very tasty. I just did the standard deluxe. I ended up getting queso fries that were delish. I will say, for the price- y'all should share. Lol. It was honestly just so much food. My chicken was very tasty tho, my husband and kids loved theirs too. They also have a deep fried avocado burger, for an exchange of meat. I loved the sauce station, and the variety of soda was wonderful! We took custard to go- and that was honestly the best part of the whole meal- we got orange cream and the black raspberry. They do change their flavors all the time tho! There was plenty of seating and even some outside tables too! The bathrooms were surprisingly clean for the amount of people there were (we waited in line for roughly 20 mins)The wait staff on the floor was a nice kid- but I'll get to the cashier and staff in my next section. The bad: The prices are honestly outrageous. $11-$14 for just a sandwich and $4-$7 for a regular size fry? Then $3 for a soda. You're at $25ish bucks per person for a step above fast food. I do understand that price is perception of each person tho, so do with that what you will! The food was decent- but ehhh. The cashier I felt hated her job. All the employees were young kids. I appreciate businesses giving kids their first jobs, but we needed some maturity on the restaurant floor to justify the prices we paid. The cooks in the back were yelling at each other, glaring at each other as more people walked in the door, and overall just seeming like they hated their experience at work. Because they are upfront, it's hard not to feel guilty for staying to eat. Feelings can be hard to navigate at their ages- which again is why some maturity is helpful in the floor. The parking is horrendous- this has nothing to do with my review however. Just plan to be frustrated if you go during peak hours. Overall- my experience was just okay. I think I'll give it one more try during non peak hours and see if there a difference. $100 for 2 adults and 2 kids, along with two containers of custard... is just a bit much for chicken sandwiches tho. I also do not like the tipping before food or service. That should be changed. read more

Finally tried the new Super Chix. We ordered the Simple and Buffalo sandwiches, two large hand cut fries, two sodas and a pint of vanilla custard. Total was over $50. Just seems expensive for what you get. The fries were good, more seasoning or toppings would have made better. The sandwiches were meh. The simple has no sauce or anything, so definitely get a side of sauce. The custard had no flavor, not even a vanilla flavor. I will try a salad or tenders next time but definitely not a price point I will visit often. read more

Kind of a let down. Menu and pictures looked amazing. The line moved fast. Staff friendly. We did have to clean our own table but it was very busy. We ordered the Deluxe Chicken sandwich, the Super Strami and an order of fried pickles. My deluxe chicken arrived barely lukewarm- but it was cooked. Husband said his Super Strami was good but not sure $12.99 good. The pickles, very generous portion but so, so salty... Getting back to my deluxe sandwich- an employee stopped by and asked how it was. I told him it arrived lukewarm. He immediately offered to replace and within 5-7 minutes, he brought me a new one. It was a good sandwich. Not so good that we would make the trek specifically to eat there, but if in the area, we would give a second chance. The sauces were ok. Special sauce and ranch were "fine". Overall: Good food/custard, but the prices doesn't justify anything more than a once or twice a year visit It's good, but nothing I would go out of the way for. I had the Nashville hot, the chicken was tender but it didn't have enough spice/flavor. Really liked the fried pickles and coleslaw. The fries were the most middling, it's hard to dip fries into queso/sauce because they are not double fried/crispy. The custard tho was the best. That was an expensive experience for mediocre food and an experience that confirms why it's so hard to find a decent place to go out for a bite. While the large fries were a huge pile, they were cold and soggy. Even for 'fresh cut' fries, it was like eating day old leftovers. The chicken was decent tasting but was kinda stuffed in the weird bun-wrapper and not easy to eat. The custard shake was mediocre also. Ended up throwing it away because it formed a weird taste/texture after a bit. Even after an hour or so I have this weird aftertaste that I can't seem to get out of my mouth. We went in on the second day of it being open, the line was long which we already expected. It went pretty fast, the workers in the back were working hard and fast. They have people that work the dining room to check on everyone, bring food out, make sure everyone gets what they need and are happy with their service. The restaurant is set up cute, very modern, in style. The food was great, I would say to make sure they include all kid meal items the dessert part of ours were forgotten, easy mistake. They have so many sauces to try, we tried them all and they were great. I'm a ranch snob and the ranch and BBQ were perfect. They have their own fry sauce, they also have a hot sauce that is for sure hot! All were great! The chicken strips were great, the chicken sliders are smaller so if you're looking for something smaller/snack size that's perfect. If you are looking to try things the kids meals are the way to go, they come with a couple options and you can try a little bit of everything even the amazing custard. So glad we got a new place in Puyallup, we needed something like this. Heard about this place from a coworker when it was still under construction. The service was fast and friendly and my daughter and I wanted to try a little of everything. We opted for a large order of loaded fries which could feed a family of four. They were perfectly salted, but could use more cheese in my humble opinion. We ordered online while outside in front. Our order consisted of a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, a salad...can't remember the name, French fries and fried pickles. Food is hot and fresh when you get it. There is a self serve sauce bar, so you can get as much sauce as you'd like! The chicken tenders are juicy and delicious. We came here on a Thursday around 6pm and it was packed!!! Friendly and hard-working staff here. The interior is modernized and clean. It was kind of confusing which door was the main entrance door or outdoor dining door since they're right next to each other. There's also not a barrier around the outdoor dining area. Despite the chaos, they were able to serve us our food within 10-15 minutes. Every few minutes there was a staff member that would check in on us which was nice. Got the buffalo chicken tenders with rosemary pepper fries and WOW!! I was surprised how tender and juicy the chicken was! The breading was perfectly fried too - not too tough but also not too soft. Unfortunately, their fro zen custard machine was broken so we couldn't try it that night but they did give us a coupon for a free scoop after they get a new machine! Will definitely come back soon to try that. Personally, I think Super Chix's fried chicken beats Raising Canes, Popeyes, and Chick-Fil-A. I had just stopped in with my family tonight, they were closing soon and we could only get the food to go which is fine we have eaten here multiple times with no issue. When we got home I decided to eat a fry and it tasted as if it were doused in soap, or whatever industrial grade cleaner they use in the back. The bag which had my sandwich, my brother's sandwich and my fries reeked of chemical cleaner. The containers they came in also being doused in chemicals. Being that they are relatively new, I'm going to be a little generous with my rating. The restaurant was very clean, but unfortunately the parking situation sucks. I had a issue when trying to place a take out order on their corp. website ... this store is not listed in their location menu. Since I don't a phone, I don't have access to their app. Anyway, the chicken sandwiches are very good ... unfortunately, they don't travel very well (the bun gets pretty soggy after 5 minutes). The fries are decent, better when it's hot ... no so good when they get cold (again a take out issue). It was pretty busy when I visited ... and the service was chaotic, with one or two staff members standing around seemingly lost (again they're new).
