Updating my review from March 2025 after another visit, and overall this place is still really solid. My husband ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich with Cajun fries again, and I went with the blackened chicken sandwich, this time with fries instead of coleslaw. Just like last time, the food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. The chicken sandwiches here are consistently good, and the fries were great as well. We mainly stopped in this time because my husband was craving custard, and it definitely delivered. I ordered one of their loaded custard creations with multiple mix-ins (I can't remember the exact name), and it was delicious. The only thing I'd note is that it's very rich and sweet, and the portion is pretty big. I couldn't finish mine, so it's probably something that would be perfect for sharing. The restaurant itself still has the same casual, upbeat atmosphere as my previous visit, and the food quality seems very consistent. My only lingering note from my first review still applies a bit -- it can get pricey for what you get -- but the food and custard are definitely good if you're in the mood for it. Came to this place because I was craving a spicy chicken sandwich. I ordered the Nashville Hot and a side of fries. Service was nothing to comment about. You order at the counter, and pick your food up. There is an array of pretty decent dipping sauces that you can get really lost in. Ambiance wise, it is a good place to gather with friends. The sandwich itself was not spicy, and was mediocre at best. The fries were soggy and inedible. I haven't thrown fries away in a while, but I definitely did here. Overall, mediocre at not worth the high price of eating out these days. Will not return and don't recommend this place. read more

I very recently have moved back to Washington state for the time being and wanted to check out a new place for my first review back in Washington. I came across this establishment which i'm sure has opened in the last couple years that I lived in another state as I'd never heard of it before and it was near where I'm living currently in Puyallup. Also, the name Super Chix is super cute and I enjoy chicken so seemed like a great spot to check out so I placed an online order for pickup. First impressions: the door to enter was EXTREMELY heavy and hard to open- like you need to be the Hulk to even enter and exit this place, the health inspection sign on the door rated just "OKAY" had me worried since it's better than "poor" but maybe not the cleanest kitchen and I really don't want to get sick if I can help it, I also took a seat at a small table while the team was finishing preparing my order which appeared to have something sticky all over it... so far this is not going great and I'm seriously contemplating if I should request a refund and not try their food at all even though i'm here and very hungry. I ultimately decided to give the food a try though I ordered 2 grilled tenders and they gave me crispy tenders instead but at least they got my requested sauce right..maybe..i asked for Korean BBQ but it didnt taste much like Korean BBQ to me. It was more like sriracha. Despite that though, the tenders were still tasty and hot which is great because I waited an additional 10 minutes to get them from the time they quoted me that my meal would be done. I also got rosemary pepper fries which were decent but not very hot and a cheese filled fried avocado sandwich which was unique and overall tasty but also not quite the right temperature. A bottle of water is nearly $4 and that along with my food came out to $26 which is pretty steep for the quality received. As long as I don't become ill tonight, I may give them another chance but so far it's not going to be one of my go to places in Puyallup. read more

I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want: French fries topped with Mac and cheese, hot chicken, and special sauce. Sadly, that wasn't on the menu. I asked about the loaded fries, but those turned out to be loaded with bacon and cheese. I didn't see any mac and cheese on the menu at all. On a whim, I ordered their special, which was a hot honey fried chicken sandwich. Customer service was great. The lady who took my order was very friendly and patient. The chef who presented my order seemed sincere when he told me to enjoy the rest of my day. As far as fast food chicken sandwiches go, this was an absolute five star experience. I've been to many sit down restaurants that served more expensive, lower quality sandwiches. They had a wide selection of hot chicken sandwiches on the menu. All were all under $15, and many were under $10. As far as hot chicken goes, it was a four star experience. The crispness was perfect, and it was drenched in sauce with great flavor. There weren't many toppings, but they were good. It was just a slice of tomato, a little lettuce, and a couple of sweet pickles. The chicken was delicious and perfectly fried, but it wasn't marinated as thoroughly as my favorite place. When I got a bite of chicken flesh without any skin or sauce, it was still good, but plain. Overall, while it didn't beat out my favorite sandwich, it was still a great sandwich. It was substantially better than Popeyes or other fast food places in the same price range. Chicken sandwiches aren't really my thing, but if they put some hot chicken mac fries on the menu, I would come back for those for sure. read more

Just coming in for an update. We LOVE Super Chix! The staff are amazing. We just went in today around 2:30 or so to eat before running some errands. Let me tell you, EVERY time we go in there, all the staff are happy, kind, and polite. The cashier today was smiling, bubbly and incredibly friendly. There was a young man working the lobby and he was cleaning tables, the floors, etc. but also greeted people entering the restaurant and asking diners if they needed anything and if the food was ok. It's been a long time since we've seen younger workers with this much friendliness and work ethic. Whether it's the front of house or back of house, the employees are killing it. We always get the BEST service. And if you're ok with heat, try the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. It's just the chicken in their Nashville Hot sauce on a bun with pickles, but I tried it today after having the Nashville Hot tenders last time. Sooo happy I did. Delicious! Didn't know what to expect but came away pleased. The food is fairly priced for this day and age, not excessive. The chicken is delicious, big and juicy. Lots of spicy and bbq sauce options to use. I've been here a couple times now. The staff is friendly, and the orders come out pretty quick. I like the chicken tenders, but the 'nashville hot' is not. I didn't even break a sweat. The other sauces at the bar are good. I like the BBQ especially. I like the fried pickles, but I think the fryer was a bit under temp last time or they weren't drained properly because there was more oil on them than I'd like. I got the fries on my first visit and those were pretty good. I haven't had the custard. The restaurant was clean and well-kept, but several of the soda options weren't functional the last time I went. It's a pepsi shop, and has iced tea and lemonade as well, IIRC. I highly recommend ignoring the 1 star reviews and checking this place out for yourself. We popped in around lunch time on a Sunday and had no problems finding parking, however, it is located in a small strip mall and parking is shared with various other businesses. All of which is entirely out of the control of Super Chix. Food: I ordered 3 tenders, fries, and a drink and my tab was about $20. I would say this is comparable to Chick-Fil-A or Al's hot Chicken as far as price goes. If you like juicy, tender chicken, without the bigotry (sorry CFA), then I highly recommend Super Chix! It had to be the best made chicken I have ever had and I went with the Nashville hot sauce for the perfect kick. They don't over bread their meat and the tenders are prepared with white meat as opposed to dark. The fries are somewhere between your standard french fry and a shoestring fry, they are crispy, well seasoned, and they give you a reasonable amount. One of the highlights of this place is the sauce bar! I snagged every sauce to try with my fries and you can't go wrong with their honey mustard or the Korean bbq... soooo good! Service: Staff were polite and didn't waste time dilly dallying. They were knocking out orders like crazy and between dine in and take out, they were absolutely slammed. The food is made piping hot, but the building is rather cool so it didn't take long for my food to cool down as I took my time eating. I know... who goes to chicken place and gets avocado. Well it was good. It was a little too much avocado though. The layout is weird hence the not 5 stars! They have two doors that are not labeled "In" or "Out" so people are entering through the dinning area door which should be an "out" door only and forming a line crowding patrons that are sitting and trying to eat, a definite do better. Stopped in here opening day and it was SUPER busy but the line went like that!!! They were staffed just right to handle the rush of the crowd. It took about 5 mins from waiting in line to place my order - cordon blue with fries The deluxe with fries , The deluxe with no tomato Nashville hot with bacon with fries side of queso. All in all it was $67.04. Not bad. I did order two large fries at 6.99 instead of 4 at 4.99. I came in at 715 and was out by 745. I'm glad I checked my bag as they did miss one of my sandwiches but I was able to let them know and they got it to me quickly. We were super hungry so I didn't even take any photos but they were really good. The Nashville hot was not hot at all. I tried this place for the first time yesterday, and the food was alright. My sandwich, the buffalo ranch, while had good flavor and juicy, the chicken was not crispy. I really like this place for your chicken fix! The service is very nice and friendly. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. I enjoy the variety of sauces they have as well. Moving onto the food, I would say that the Nashville hot is very strong and not my favorite but the tenders weren't dry and crispy! I personally would've got plain tenders and just dip in the sauces. The fries are probably my favorite and I would go to this place for the fries alone. The Korean BBQ sandwich was very good but again, too much sauce for my personal liking. This place deserves nothing but a 1 star review. I was there the other day and ordered rosemary pepper with sweet seasoning cheese fries. There was no sugar so I politely asked for it to be remade. I was confronted by the employee "Crow" and was asked if I was intentionally trying to piss them off with asking them to remake my wrongly made fries. After going back and forth they finally made my fries. When it was delivered to my table it was THROWN on the table and I received a lovely, verbal "merry Christmas" from Crow. Almost all of the tables were left unclean and the floor was disgusting. I should never have to argue with someone about getting my food remade when it is obviously made wrong after spending good money. We got the crispy avocado sandwich and I added chicken to it, which I feel was pretty expensive, the bacavo ranch, a side of cole slaw their large loaded fries and their Reese's custard shake. Honestly, everything was tasty. Could the fries have used maybe a stronger cheese for flavor? Sure, but despite that, they were still very tasty, especially if you drizzle their home sauce on top. I'm talking just came out of the fridge, didn't warm up at all cold. Terrible first impression. The chicken tastes good and the avocado is fresh. Oh, but the bacon is soggy and undercooked maybe the shake is good at least? Def not as good as Chick-fil-A's cookies & cream shake. More in line with a McFlurry, though I haven't had one of those in maybe 15 years so going off memory here. I distract myself with my phone to try and ignore how bad everything is and finish scarfing things down as this was my first (and ended up being only) meal of the day. Something just did not sit right with my stomach. Maybe the shake? I don't eat fast food often, but this was a "alright definitely shouldn't have had that 4th plate of food at the buffet earlier" feeling, not the typical "well I'm not eating McDonald's for another 8 months again" feeling. Bad enough it ended up being my only meal yesterday, and upon waking and having another Alka Seltzer, I'm still recovering but not in as much stomach pain this morning. Safe to say, I had high hopes for this place and was sorely disappointed. I hate to leave a negative review as they're new, the staff I interacted with were great, and things were mostly clean, but man between the taste, temperate, and after effects of the food itself, really can't recommend this place to anyone. If you eat fast food often it may not bother you as much. If you're looking for a quick bite it's definitely not "bad" per se. I understand they just opened and still working through some things, however we waited 30 minutes for our food while people who were in line after us received their orders and were eating long before our food arrived. The good: Friendly staff, sandwiches were good, fried pickles were crispy, and a nice variety of self serve dipping sauce flavors, and brewed ice tea in Sweet or Unsweet options. The not so good: Besides waiting 30 minutes for our order, it is NOT an inexpensive fast food dinner... it was $50 for 2 sandwiches, a side of fried pickles, 2 beverages, and a kids slider meal (kids meal came with a beverage, small sandwich, fries, and a brownie). Self serve soda options are Pepsi products (we prefer Coke, but the iced tea was good for us). I've never been to this location but there is a new location that just opened in the Tacoma Mall parking lot, GO THERE. It was AMAZING. Super fresh, super super clean, very friendly staff, my buffalo chicken sandwhich was delicious, good amount of sauce, pickles, bun was soft and perfect. My Cajun fries were a littttlleeee soggy but super seasoned and tastey. They also let you load up as many different sauces that you want. I paid around $20 for the sandwhich, fries and a bottle water, which is kinda spendy but holy moly, yum. And I got a free sample of the orange creamcicle custard...too die for.
