Updating my review from March 2025 after another visit, and overall this place is still really solid. My husband ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich with Cajun fries again, and I went with the blackened chicken sandwich, this time with fries instead of coleslaw. Just like last time, the food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. The chicken sandwiches here are consistently good, and the fries were great as well. We mainly stopped in this time because my husband was craving custard, and it definitely delivered. I ordered one of their loaded custard creations with multiple mix-ins (I can't remember the exact name), and it was delicious. The only thing I'd note is that it's very rich and sweet, and the portion is pretty big. I couldn't finish mine, so it's probably something that would be perfect for sharing. The restaurant itself still has the same casual, upbeat atmosphere as my previous visit, and the food quality seems very consistent. My only lingering note from my first review still applies a bit -- it can get pricey for what you get -- but the food and custard are definitely good if you're in the mood for it. Came to this place because I was craving a spicy chicken sandwich. I ordered the Nashville Hot and a side of fries. Service was nothing to comment about. You order at the counter, and pick your food up. There is an array of pretty decent dipping sauces that you can get really lost in. Ambiance wise, it is a good place to gather with friends. The sandwich itself was not spicy, and was mediocre at best. The fries were soggy and inedible. I haven't thrown fries away in a while, but I definitely did here. Came with wife for some chicken cravings. My wife got the Asian Sesame Salad and I had the four piece tenders with fries. Also got two root beer fountain drink sodas. Cashier lady was nice and interior was clean. I wanted about 10 to fifteen minutes for my order which wasn't too long. When food came we dug in. My wife really enjoyed the salad and said it was one of the best Asian Sesame salads she had ever had. My chicken tenders were hot and tasty, and I had gotten several different sauces for dipping (BBQ, Honey Mustard and House sauce). Fries were ok, but they are cut shorter than I like. I very recently have moved back to Washington state for the time being and wanted to check out a new place for my first review back in Washington. I came across this establishment which i'm sure has opened in the last couple years that I lived in another state as I'd never heard of it before and it was near where I'm living currently in Puyallup. Also, the name Super Chix is super cute and I enjoy chicken so seemed like a great spot to check out so I placed an online order for pickup. First impressions: the door to enter was EXTREMELY heavy and hard to open- like you need to be the Hulk to even enter and exit this place, the health inspection sign on the door rated just "OKAY" had me worried since it's better than "poor" but maybe not the cleanest kitchen and I really don't want to get sick if I can help it, I also took a seat at a small table while the team was finishing preparing my order which appeared to have something sticky all over it... so far this is not going great and I'm seriously contemplating if I should request a refund and not try their food at all even though i'm here and very hungry. I ultimately decided to give the food a try though I ordered 2 grilled tenders and they gave me crispy tenders instead but at least they got my requested sauce right..maybe..i asked for Korean BBQ but it didnt taste much like Korean BBQ to me. It was more like sriracha. Despite that though, the tenders were still tasty and hot which is great because I waited an additional 10 minutes to get them from the time they quoted me that my meal would be done. I also got rosemary pepper fries which were decent but not very hot and a cheese filled fried avocado sandwich which was unique and overall tasty but also not quite the right temperature. A bottle of water is nearly $4 and that along with my food came out to $26 which is pretty steep for the quality received. As long as I don't become ill tonight, I may give them another chance but so far it's not going to be one of my go to places in Puyallup. read more

I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want: French fries topped with Mac and cheese, hot chicken, and special sauce. Sadly, that wasn't on the menu. I asked about the loaded fries, but those turned out to be loaded with bacon and cheese. I didn't see any mac and cheese on the menu at all. On a whim, I ordered their special, which was a hot honey fried chicken sandwich. Customer service was great. The lady who took my order was very friendly and patient. The chef who presented my order seemed sincere when he told me to enjoy the rest of my day. As far as fast food chicken sandwiches go, this was an absolute five star experience. I've been to many sit down restaurants that served more expensive, lower quality sandwiches. They had a wide selection of hot chicken sandwiches on the menu. All were all under $15, and many were under $10. As far as hot chicken goes, it was a four star experience. The crispness was perfect, and it was drenched in sauce with great flavor. There weren't many toppings, but they were good. It was just a slice of tomato, a little lettuce, and a couple of sweet pickles. The chicken was delicious and perfectly fried, but it wasn't marinated as thoroughly as my favorite place. When I got a bite of chicken flesh without any skin or sauce, it was still good, but plain. Overall, while it didn't beat out my favorite sandwich, it was still a great sandwich. It was substantially better than Popeyes or other fast food places in the same price range. Just coming in for an update. We LOVE Super Chix! The staff are amazing. We just went in today around 2:30 or so to eat before running some errands. Let me tell you, EVERY time we go in there, all the staff are happy, kind, and polite. The cashier today was smiling, bubbly and incredibly friendly. There was a young man working the lobby and he was cleaning tables, the floors, etc. but also greeted people entering the restaurant and asking diners if they needed anything and if the food was ok. It's been a long time since we've seen younger workers with this much friendliness and work ethic. Whether it's the front of house or back of house, the employees are killing it. We always get the BEST service. And if you're ok with heat, try the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. It's just the chicken in their Nashville Hot sauce on a bun with pickles, but I tried it today after having the Nashville Hot tenders last time. Sooo happy I did. Delicious! We love their fries with Cajun seasoning. The custard is delicious too. Haven't had a single thing we don't like. And the meat quality is top notch! read more

I've been here a couple times now. The staff is friendly, and the orders come out pretty quick. I like the chicken tenders, but the 'nashville hot' is not. I didn't even break a sweat. The other sauces at the bar are good. I like the BBQ especially. I like the fried pickles, but I think the fryer was a bit under temp last time or they weren't drained properly because there was more oil on them than I'd like. I got the fries on my first visit and those were pretty good. I haven't had the custard. The restaurant was clean and well-kept, but several of the soda options weren't functional the last time I went. It's a pepsi shop, and has iced tea and lemonade as well, IIRC. I highly recommend ignoring the 1 star reviews and checking this place out for yourself. We popped in around lunch time on a Sunday and had no problems finding parking, however, it is located in a small strip mall and parking is shared with various other businesses. All of which is entirely out of the control of Super Chix. Food: I ordered 3 tenders, fries, and a drink and my tab was about $20. I would say this is comparable to Chick-Fil-A or Al's hot Chicken as far as price goes. If you like juicy, tender chicken, without the bigotry (sorry CFA), then I highly recommend Super Chix! It had to be the best made chicken I have ever had and I went with the Nashville hot sauce for the perfect kick. They don't over bread their meat and the tenders are prepared with white meat as opposed to dark. The fries are somewhere between your standard french fry and a shoestring fry, they are crispy, well seasoned, and they give you a reasonable amount. One of the highlights of this place is the sauce bar! I snagged every sauce to try with my fries and you can't go wrong with their honey mustard or the Korean bbq... soooo good! Service: Staff were polite and didn't waste time dilly dallying. They were knocking out orders like crazy and between dine in and take out, they were absolutely slammed. The food is made piping hot, but the building is rather cool so it didn't take long for my food to cool down as I took my time eating. The layout is weird hence the not 5 stars! They have two doors that are not labeled "In" or "Out" so people are entering through the dinning area door which should be an "out" door only and forming a line crowding patrons that are sitting and trying to eat, a definite do better. I tried this place for the first time yesterday, and the food was alright. My sandwich, the buffalo ranch, while had good flavor and juicy, the chicken was not crispy. The sauce selection was ok, and their signature sauce wasn't anything great. My husband got the Nashville hot and he said it was just alright. We also ordered the Rosemary fries. The parking lot is an absolute mess, I don't blame Super Chix for that obviously but just an FYI. When we walked in the line was a bit long but that gave us a chance to look at the menu. It's very loud, but well staffed at the time and they were all very pleasant. The prices are a bit high, as everywhere is now. We ordered to go (The Deluxe) and got some sauces from the sauce bar. I'm bummed to say I was sorely disappointed by the food here. I know everything is more expensive these days, but that was a bit excessive if you ask me. I tried the fries first. Cold, soggy, and WAY overseasoned. Alright they're super busy, maybe these were made 15 min ago and a lot of people have ordered something different. The meal did come out pretty quickly after all. Next, the sandwich. Bun is cold. I'm talking just came out of the fridge, didn't warm up at all cold. Terrible first impression. The chicken tastes good and the avocado is fresh. Oh, but the bacon is soggy and undercooked maybe the shake is good at least? Def not as good as Chick-fil-A's cookies & cream shake. More in line with a McFlurry, though I haven't had one of those in maybe 15 years so going off memory here. I distract myself with my phone to try and ignore how bad everything is and finish scarfing things down as this was my first (and ended up being only) meal of the day. Something just did not sit right with my stomach. Maybe the shake? I don't eat fast food often, but this was a "alright definitely shouldn't have had that 4th plate of food at the buffet earlier" feeling, not the typical "well I'm not eating McDonald's for another 8 months again" feeling. Bad enough it ended up being my only meal yesterday, and upon waking and having another Alka Seltzer, I'm still recovering but not in as much stomach pain this morning. Safe to say, I had high hopes for this place and was sorely disappointed. I hate to leave a negative review as they're new, the staff I interacted with were great, and things were mostly clean, but man between the taste, temperate, and after effects of the food itself, really can't recommend this place to anyone. I have been here a few times with my husband and we always get great fresh well put together food. There are unique items on their menu that make me want to go back. They had a really good Korean BBQ sandwich. They have a lot of dipping sauces to choose from in the lobby for customers to grab. The lobby is nice looking and clean. The cashier has been friendly with us and recognized us when we came back. If you crave chick fil a on a Sunday give this place a try. People say it's expensive. The ONLY complaint I have about this location is that their parking lot isn't Costco-sized, because this place is popular. The customer service is excellent, the chicken sandwiches are creative and delicious, and the fries... LOVE these fries (particularly seasoned with rosemary pepper). Yes, it is a bit pricy - if you're comparing to fast food, but this place falls somewhere in between fast food and dine-in. I understand they just opened and still working through some things, however we waited 30 minutes for our food while people who were in line after us received their orders and were eating long before our food arrived. The good: Friendly staff, sandwiches were good, fried pickles were crispy, and a nice variety of self serve dipping sauce flavors, and brewed ice tea in Sweet or Unsweet options. The not so good: Besides waiting 30 minutes for our order, it is NOT an inexpensive fast food dinner... it was $50 for 2 sandwiches, a side of fried pickles, 2 beverages, and a kids slider meal (kids meal came with a beverage, small sandwich, fries, and a brownie). Self serve soda options are Pepsi products (we prefer Coke, but the iced tea was good for us). Back and forth with my feelings on this restaurant! I've had to let it simmer for a few days honestly. We have been waiting months for it to open, and I feel like all the hype- was just way to much honestly. The good: The sandwiches were very good. Thigh chicken, little breading- so dang tender! I loved the sauce station, and the variety of soda was wonderful! We took custard to go- and that was honestly the best part of the whole meal- we got orange cream and the black raspberry. They do change their flavors all the time tho! There was plenty of seating and even some outside tables too! The bathrooms were surprisingly clean for the amount of people there were (we waited in line for roughly 20 mins)The wait staff on the floor was a nice kid- but I'll get to the cashier and staff in my next section. The bad: The prices are honestly outrageous. $11-$14 for just a sandwich and $4-$7 for a regular size fry? Then $3 for a soda. You're at $25ish bucks per person for a step above fast food. I do understand that price is perception of each person tho, so do with that what you will! The food was decent- but ehhh. The cashier I felt hated her job. All the employees were young kids. I appreciate businesses giving kids their first jobs, but we needed some maturity on the restaurant floor to justify the prices we paid. The cooks in the back were yelling at each other, glaring at each other as more people walked in the door, and overall just seeming like they hated their experience at work. Because they are upfront, it's hard not to feel guilty for staying to eat. Feelings can be hard to navigate at their ages- which again is why some maturity is helpful in the floor. The parking is horrendous- this has nothing to do with my review however. Just plan to be frustrated if you go during peak hours. Overall- my experience was just okay. I think I'll give it one more try during non peak hours and see if there a difference. $100 for 2 adults and 2 kids, along with two containers of custard... is just a bit much for chicken sandwiches tho.
