If you want a flavorful grilled chicken sandwich, look no further than Super Chix. I stumbled across it when looking for something to fill my belly while in town recently and found my new favorite chicken sandwich. Really. The seasoning they use is fantastic and is bursting with flavor. The chicken was done just right-not too dry, not under cooked. Just right. I did not get fries; wasn't in the mood. But they look good. Drinks are self-serve. If you want water, those cups are available by the drink machine. I docked the rating by one star due to the seating and layout. It was very cramped and there was no clear walkway-everywhere was crowded. I suppose that's a testament to their popularity, but it was annoying nonetheless. Took one bite of my Deluxe chicken sandwich at Superchix and was confused why it felt like I was biting on sand grains.... Well.... apparently they don't wash their lettuce. So gross. They offered to make me a new sandwich, but I wasn't interested at that point. We have been here before (check out my husband Bryce G.'s review) but we came back more recently and this is what we tried: Grilled Bacavo Ranch, Cordon Bleu Fried, Crispy Avo, Asian Sesame Salad, Cajun Fries, and a double scoop of their custard of the week which was Reese's! The biggest surprise for us was the Crispy Avo- GUYS. We are meat people. We don't go for vegetarian options often because we are worried that we will miss the meat. We didn't miss it AT ALL in this! In fact, it probably wouldn't be better with the chicken, it's perfect the way it is! Of course we still love the chicken, so the salad and two other sandwiches we tried were delicious. Excellent. Will definitely be coming back here. Everything on the menu makes me . Chicken tenders: amazing. Make sure you get the plain ones instead of the tenders that are dressed in sauce. There are so many great sauces to choose from, so it's nice to try a different flavor every bite. I particularly loved the honey mustard, the signature sauce, and the buttermilk Ranch. Though they were all fantastic. The chicken is cooked perfectly - white juicy meat - just how it should be. I also like that then breading isn't too heavy. My wife got the blackened chicken sandwich. Super solid option if you're looking for grilled. Fried pickles - worth getting! I'm super curious about all of the french fries they offer so next time I go I'll probably get the Cajun fries. But the fried pickles were amazing. Custard - OK, wow. It. It is one of the most smooth frozen treats I've ever had. It's exactly what you want in an ice cream style dessert. I had heard of this place and decided to give it a whirl since I was already in the area and my friend and I wanted to grab some food before heading back to Salt Lake so we trekked our way there. I love that they have a fried avocado with melted Gouda cheese in it- you can't get that anywhere else! and bonus, we always add a fried chicken patty to it for that extra-ness!!! If I were to nit-pick, I would have appreciated a bit more honey mustard on the sandwich (luckily the sauce station had us covered). The fried pickles were great, I'm not sure what you would do with a large order, the regular was more than enough for both of us to share. The Nashville Hot wasn't as good as the crispy avocado and chicken sandwich I had last time, but it was still a solid sandwich and I would order it again. Here was the minor issue from this visit- I noticed on the menu that the Korean BBQ sandwich is the same price as the Nashville Hot, but the Korean BBQ sandwich has Coleslaw, and I really wanted to try coleslaw on the sandwich, but wasn't feeling like BBQ sauce... When I asked the girl taking the order if I could just change the sauce on the Korean BBQ so my sandwich included coleslaw she said she would just add coleslaw to the Nashville Hot. Clearly she didn't understand why I wanted to change the sauce on the Korean BBQ instead of adding coleslaw to the Nashville Hot, as my receipt shows the coleslaw added a dollar to the cost. I especially liked the bread that they use. I also wanted to try the mint oreo custard, and had it in my order as well but when it arrived, there was no custard there :(. Like Chick-Fil-A and Five Guys had a baby, this Dallas, TX native restaurant found it's way to American Fork, UT, to provide it's signature southern-style fried chicken, among other eats. After seeing some raving reviews, I just had to check them out. POSITIVES: Their Cajun fries... But you have to eat them fresh. Wonderfully seasoned, very thin and crispy (unless you got them to-go or delivered, then they tend to get soggy). Their selection of various seasonings and sauces is enough to make me want to come back and try some more (I'm looking at you, rosemary fries). Such an intricate selection of sauces... Including Fry sauce, BBQ, Buttermilk Ranch, Signature sauce (I swear they stole chick fil a's recipe, because it's so similar), and a Korean BBQ sauce. The portions of their fries are very generous, akin to Five Guys. I ordered the Bacavo Ranch sandwich - with fried chicken, pickles, avocado, bacon, and ranch. Their chicken is a hefty, well-seasoned beast. I also really resonated with the intricate modern decor, which boasted a fun black/yellow theme. NEGATIVES: not gonna lie, the custard was a bit of a let down. I ordered a single cone, that was strategically placed in a cup for my to-go order, which I appreciated. However, the cone was soft and chewy, which I tried to overlook. Yet, the custard itself failed to impress. The flavor was almost too dark of a chocolate. Also, part of the chicken sandwich was pretty rubbery. But it didn't feel fatty. It was more of an undercooked texture that made me feel a little sick after eating it. PRICE: $15-20 per person for an entree, side, and even a drink/ice cream. Seemed pretty steep, but you do get decent portions and the quality is above average. RECOMMENDED: I cannot stress it enough when I say you HAVE to get those fries! Try all of the sauces! Overall, I'd say this place is worth a shot. I love this place. The food is always good amd even when the fries they brought out were cold and underseasoned they took them back and made a fresh batch. Chicken is still my favorite in Utah. Tender and delicious along with a good breading. The one thing I notice know having a baby is there is just not a lot of room to navigate. They have a chunk of tables but if your group is more than 5 you are going to struggle unless one of the 2 spots where you can put a couple tables together is open. I know it really isn't something they can change now, but hopefully they will build more and just a little extra space. read more

I've been trying to carve out time to come check this place out since they opened since word on the street has been nothing but glowing. My expectations were high and they were not only met, but for sure exceeded. The employees were friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating when I asked to try every flavor of fry seasoning (they have four!) on the side of my fried pickles. They have lots of unique sandwiches and even have a vegetarian option with their breaded avocado sandwich, stuffed with gouda and served with garlic aioli! I almost ordered that because GOUDA IS KING. I tried several things and every flavor was punchy and spot-on. What was fried wasn't too greasy, and the fresh ingredients were high quality and, indeed, very fresh. Favorite thing? They have every one of their seven house-made sauces out for you to use. You don't have to pay extra or ask for them at the counter! (And their buttermilk ranch is legit! I'm a ranch snob, so that's saying something.). Also, this might just be me but I love when restaurants have lemon wedges out for you to add to your drink. I normally stick to water, and having lemons available makes a huge difference. I wanted to like Super Chix. I really really did. So, let's talk about the pros- The servings are HUGE! The custard is delicious and reasonably priced for the size. The fries taste like fries. So here's my hold up- I LOVE sauce. Love it. Could be buried in a vat of fry sauce and be completely happy. The sauces here just didn't do it for me. They were just fine. My tastebuds didn't dance. My belly didn't shout hooray. It was just okay. The sandwiches were yummy, but not something I'd wait 25 minutes for and the fried pickles (sometime I specifically ordered based on other rave reviews) were meh. Overall, I probably won't make replace my go to chicken place with this. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I just didn't love it. read more

I've been anxiously awaiting an opportunity to hit up Super Chix and I was not disappointed! I had the chicken tenders, I usually do at most chicken places, that way I can judge based on the base product. Their batter has sort of a blackened chicken flavor to it, kind of like if you got blackened chicken on your pasta. It's really tasty, however what made it even better was how tender and juicy the chicken is. While wolfing it down I really couldn't understand how they even keep it together to bread it and then fry it. It just falls apart and melts in your mouth somehow. I've never had chicken tenders so tender! The sauces were really good too, definitely complement the tenders. We shared a large salted loaded fry, I say salted because they have some other options on seasoning before they "load" them. They were salted to perfection and would have been a delicious side as is, however the cheese and bacon takes them to another level. That cheese is heavenly, the bacon is fresh, and all together it's a delicious combination. Finished the experience off with a mini dutch chocolate custard. Don't let my mistake to be yours too, get a bigger size than a mini. It's too good. Beats out a certain custard establishment that starts with an N for sure. However, it's slightly more expensive and a smaller portion. Over all my only real complaint is the process to get the custard. I've seen other complaints too. So I'm surprised this hasn't been addressed. But the cashier didn't tell me that I had to come back up and present my receipt to receive my custard. So I wandered up there unsure, feeling like I was going up there to complain and was greeted like I was doing the right thing. It's a simple thing, but should be addressed so that customers know that's the process. read more

During the pandemic I got takeout from here. They have a make shift drive through which makes for easy ordering. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and rosemary fries. The hot chicken sandwich was good, and spicy. I liked the pickles with it. The fries were just ok for me. They were really salty, and pretty soggy. They tasted like they had been sitting awhile. I didn't get any of the sauces that others mentioned. Maybe I should have asked. This was my first time ordering from here. I would suggest that the staff prompt people about extras like the sauce. It wasn't busy since it was a late lunchtime. I'm on the fence about coming back. First and second experiences here = Fan-freakin-tastic! The chicken interior is juicy while it's exterior is crispy. The pickles are plump and snappy. The slaw brings the crunch while the soft bun give all the ingredients a nice, warm hug. It is the epitome of the phrase. "If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face." Trying majority of the sides available, I believe the cheese fries made with the rosemary pepper fries is the best combo, while the fried pickles with ranch just put the meal over the top. And yes, OF COURSE, the custard is beautifully creamy and dense like a good custard should be. I love that we have a close custard place in Ut Co finally! read more

A new fast casual chicken king is here. Super Chix has been open over a month now, but it is still super crowded. Ordering doesn't take long, but the wait for food is pretty bad, and the two times I stopped by here were both after 7:30 pm...times when everywhere else in the area is near dead. I haven't seen an open table in either of the visits I've had, so if you want one either be that annoying person that goes and asks people for their table mid meal, or you aren't getting a table. I took mine to go. They have a couple of different styles of chicken. I've stuck with the Nashville Hot sandwich. It is good, but I wish it had more heat. You can do it breaded or grilled; I went with breaded. The fries also have a couple of different styles. I've had the rosemary ones and the cajun ones. Both were really good, thin cut fries. They also have several sauce types you can dip in, ranch, their house sauce, buffalo sauce, and usually a limited time sauce (a Korean BBQ sauce on my visits). The sauces are great and put this place a step above other chicken restaurants around town. The ice cream is pretty good. They rotate special flavors out. I had a Nutter Butter one the last time and it was nice and creamy. A pint split between my wife and I was perfect. This is a great addition to the area, and will hopefully die down soon. Utahns love their fast casual chains though, so don't count on it. read more

First day, which may be unfair to review since they're working out the kinks (and there are always kinks opening a new restaurant; plus it was snowing). The place was packed for lunch, so they did a good job getting the word out. I heard about it from Yelp Utah County and saw it on the All About American Fork Facebook page. Standing at the register to order, I got dripped on from above - hopefully it was water - one on my hand, one on the back of my neck, and two on my bosom. The cashier helped explain what's spicy (Nashville and Cajun) because I've never been here (it originated in Texas). There are battered, grilled, tender, and salad chicken options plus a fried avocado burger (maybe they can make that one grilled instead). I chose a classic minus tomato - the aioli isn't strong enough to notice, the pickle is tart and snappy, bun is soft, and chicken is fine - has a but of a sweet/savory seasoning in the batter like a Chick Fil-A cousin - I don't mean to compare, but it's hard not to when you can see the CFA AF location from SuperChix. The difference is the SC tastes a little more upscale and has sauce they dip it in instead of making you do it with the tiny dip containers. My friend had a salad with breaded chicken. It looked good, filling, and had lots of ingredients. I didn't think to ask for a taste, but I took a pic for ya. The fries feed 1-2 people, and at $3 something a pop that's helpful since I also added a mini chocolate custard and put my bill at $14 for a burger/fries/custard lunch. Custards are vanilla, chocolate, and flavor of the month. There are several fry flavors: rosemary pepper (we enjoyed it, Cajun, and sweet (sugar). Skin on, skinny, but soft how I like them. The POS (register) makes you choose a tip or not. I find that annoying at these type of places - doesn't seem tip worthy so it's degrading to push the NO TIP instead of just having a tip jar as an option instead of pressure to do it. For what... so they can drop your plate off at your table? Meh. Didn't know you have to save the receipt and go up the the counter to redeem the custard. Good idea so it doesn't melt while eating your hot stuff, but wasn't told and almost forgot I paid for it. Luckily my friend remembered; the cashier explained she wasn't aware of that tip. It's understandable. I'm guessing this will be a good alternative to Chick Fil-A across the parking lot when it's packed - no play place, so less kids running around like chickens with their heads cut off. read more

I paid $16 for a sandwich which was so soggy, the bun sopping wet with a bland sauce, a nasty cheese they chose for all the sandwiches, and a side is NOT included with the $16 sandwich. I also got a side of coleslaw which was $6. In the picture on the menu, it is a cup filled to the top of the lid with slaw. I'm not a certified fried chicken sandwich expert, but I have to say this rates on the incredible level. I had the simple fillet, fried and added bacon & avocado. I drizzled Nashville Hot sauce on mine, (because I'm a bit of a wimp with heat plus a messy eater I kept it light), and it was perfect. Now, I am a fried pickles expert, and these were fried pickles heaven---not too salty, lots of crunch, the pickles held their shape and the leftovers didn't get soggy on the drive home. The dining area is limited, so order takeout or go at an off peak time to miss the rush. We went just before noon on a Saturday and had no problem with seating, but some had to wait for an empty table. We will definitely go again ASAP! read more

Living in Vegas, I went to Zion for the day. It's 3 hours each way, and by the time I was driving home I was exhausted so I pulled to the nearest town and found a chicken place. Chicken tenders are my super energy food. At least that's what I tell myself. Anyway, I ordered the 3 chicken tenders as well as regular queso fries with onions and holding the bacon. To start with the good. The fries were filling. The regular size was a huge portion. Now to the great. The chicken fingers. One of the best I've had in a while. Perfect combo of the chicken and the outer layer. I don't have a lot of words, just that it was amazing and gave me enough energy to get home.
