She was left standing there until another staff member stepped in to help. Unfortunately, over the past few months, the quality has declined significantly. Lately, the chicken has been extremely dry and tastes old, to the point where it's not even edible, forget enjoyable. What's especially frustrating is that we've asked staff multiple times if the chicken was fresh, and despite being reassured, we were still served very dry chicken. This has been a really disappointing change, especially since we used to enjoy coming here regularly. I hope the restaurant addresses these issues and returns to the quality it once had.

First off, its not even the flan advertised on their menu screen. It is a prepackaged small flan from Yolita's. This cost me $4.99. To make matters worse, it was already 5 days expired. I'm already paying over the price for the flan and for it to be expired?!?! Ridiculous. They should not be selling these items to their clients. I feel robbed as a package of 6 of Yolita's just costs $5.19 meanwhile this "family restaurant" is selling it for $5 each. So dissatisfied.

This makes us think it might be the same reason we haven't returned to dine in. I don't even have a huge appetite, and the amount of food I received was still surprisingly small. The service was also disappointing from the moment I arrived. The restaurant was completely empty, yet no one greeted me or acknowledged me when I walked in. I eventually had to walk over to the bar area myself to ask about my pickup order. The woman working there looked confused that I was even asking and mumbled a response I could barely understand. I figured maybe she was busy, so I waited, but the entire experience became increasingly uncomfortable. I stood there awkwardly for about 10 minutes while the employees talked amongst themselves and kept looking over at me, yet no one updated me on my order or even spoke to me. The worst part was the food itself. The potatoes in the Papa a la Huancaína were cold and partially raw. I literally had to finish cooking them in the microwave at work. The empanada was decent, and the alfajor would have gotten better marks if it weren't for the small hair I found on it, but overall the experience was not worth the price. Unfortunately, I wouldn't ever come back. Revash has better portions, better prices, and overall much better food.

I love this place because it is still a family owned Peruvian restaurant that serves great Peruvian flavor chicken for a good price of only $13.95m, the line is fast and the people that work behind the counter are friendly. Their price can't be beat in Manassas! Their service is great and they also have other Peruvian traditional dishes, my favorite is the lomo saltado. From the side dishes I always get chaufa rice, yucca and plantains. I will definitely be back! My kind of Peruvian restaurant! Always makes me feel welcomed! read more

They are all a little different in that they are representative of different regions of South & Central America. This happens to be of the Guatemelan variety. El Quetzal is the colorful national bird and the name of their currency. I ordered the chicken tacos. Pretty simple and straight forward right? Well...not so fast my friend. The first lady that came by my table spoke excellent english. She took my drink order and I told her I wanted sweet tea. She said we don't have that but I can mix the tea with our sweet lemonade which I thought was a great idea...you know Arnold Palmer style. When she came back with the glass it was just lemonade...very sweet lemonade. A few minutes later another lady came by who only spoke Spanish. I told her in spanish that the other lady took my drink order...so she wanted to take my food order. I pointed at the menu and told her I wanted the three soft chicken tacos. She looked at me with 'that look'. And you know what I'm talking about. I then told her in spanish, tres tacos de pollo. She then said OK and I said 'sin ceballo' no onions she smiled and said OK. So, I waited, there were only three other tables at 1130a for lunch on a Friday. I was watching Univisons spanish version of the Jerry Springer show....can you say drama? After about five minutes the 1st lady comes by with chips and salsa. At 1st taste I thought the salsa was of the Pace variety, she told me it is was home made. When I got the tacos they were filled with grilled onions; I picked them off. I liked that they put the pico de gallo on the side along with the lettuce & tomatoes and delicious and fresh quacamole. When I asked for my check the english speaking waitress asked me how was my meal. I told her that it was all good except for the onions on the tacos. She said the other girls english wasn't very good. I didn't bother to tell her that I said 'sin ceballo'. When the check came she took off the charge for the beverage. I doubt I go back here, there are just too many other choices.
