What a find! We had planned to eat elsewhere in this strip mall but Super Chicken caught our attention. Peruvian roasted chicken is usually good and this was fantastic. The chicken was well seasoned. The skin was nice and crispy and the meat was tender and juicy. They have fun sides to pick from but I default to plantains and this time it was a good call. They were generous with them as well as the rice. A soda fountain would be nice, but they do have cans and bottles of Coke and Pepsi products. I've visited this location a few times. Each visit I was giving them one more chance to improve. The customer service has yet to get there. The chicken was very tasty and the in person customer service was friendly. That's the only good part. I ordered carry out on the app, but when I got home with my order I discovered that they did not give me the two orders of flan that I paid for. When trying to call them, the call goes straight to voicemail, which is full. The yucca was also inferior. I've never had yucca so completely dried out. I didn't try the French fries, but if I were to go there again, I would not get the yucca. All I can say that was truly good was the chicken. I'd give it 4.5 if I could simply because Peruvian chicken isn't my forte or thing. With that being said... The Beau and I had SC for dinner this evening-- he ordered us a whole chicken that comes with 2 sides for $12.99. We got the fries and beans (all of it to go). By the time we got home the fry bag was greasy and falling apart but surprisingly the fries were still warm and relatively crispy. The mayonnaise type sauce provided went VERY well with the fries; I didn't know what to do with the green stuff, so I only dipped a fry in it once, just to taste. The side of beans was HUGE. Basically they're some sort of black bean in a very watery sauce. Not bad, but not great. Next time I'd like to try the cole slaw instead. On to the chicken itself-- VERY moist and full of flavour. The portions are pretty big, too, especially for the pretty low price. They also offer a variety of different Peruvian foods, like the Hamburger de lo Pobre that comes topped with a fried egg, tomatoes, onions... all of the prices are reasonable, too. Unlike other "pollo a la brasa" places, Super Chicken is not a one trick pony when it comes to selection. I've only been recently introduced to the heavenly culinary pleasure that is Peruvian Chicken. I stopped in for dinner this evening - at first I was going to get the food to go - but then I changed my mind as it smelled so damn good and I was suddenly starving. I ordered a half chicken with two sides. I inquired as to "just what the heck is Yucca?" The lovely young lady working the counter gave me a sample to taste. It's like eating a thick cut Steak Fry, but the texture is heavier and coarser than a potato. So I opted for the Fried Yucca and beans as my two sides, and a bottle of water. She gave me two small souffle cups - one with a light colored creamy substance - mayonnaise-like, and another of a lightly spicy green jalapeno sauce. The Fried Yucca needed some salt, so I added a bit, as well as to the beans. The chicken was very tender and tasty - however, it was just a tad on the dry side. I scarfed the whole thing down in no time flat! I will definitely come back here again at some point! read more

Portions are a good size, at least for me and the prices are just right. Only complaint (this goes for all Peruvian chicken joints) is that they never give you enough aji. I've had better Pollo a la brasa experiences elsewhere. Yes, the chicken is very very good. The staff does a nice job hacking the bird in several pieces which makes it easier to eat than most places. It also came with good flavor and not totally black as some places do. These folks do not overdo it. The sides however weren't very good. I got beans and coleslaw. The beans were okay, some flavor, but lacks zip and feeling that other places put into them. The coleslaw was too rich and didn't stand out. I couldn't finish what they gave for me. But for $8, not a bad lunch. For better Rotisserie chicken, or Pollo a la brasa, I would recommend Raices or Guapo's more. Those places do a better job with more flavor. read more

Greaattttt Peruvian chicken. My friend and I stopped by for take out and I am so happy that we did. We got two whole rotisserie chickens, two sides of yucca, one side of mixed white rice, and one side of salad. The food here was so unbelievably fresh, while being ready at the speed of lightening. With all of that food we ordered, we literally only waited for about 3 minutes. The rotisserie chicken came out fresh right out if the roasting oven and chopped before us. Unlike most peruvian chicken places I've been to, Super Chicken actually has a large variety of alternative dishes, including ribs and other meats. I tried a combo platter including ribs and chicken. While the ribs were tasty, they weren't as tender as I'm used to. Still, the chicken was delicious. What really sets Super Chicken out from its peers is its cleanliness, and large variety of sides! I tried a little of everything, their "salsa" is thinly sliced red onions in a vinegary marinade. The fried plantains were plentiful and fried perfectly, as were the fried sweet potatoes. I also tried the yellow rice and thought it was great. One thing to note, if you are going to dine in, don't order from the counter. I've had Lomo Saltado twice so far and it has been great both times. The green sauce was on the watery side and the white sauce was subpar but they complimented my dishes adequately. While waiting for my lomo saltado I spotted an employee bring out a plate full french fries and sliced up pieces of hot dog that looked very appealing. After asking two employees I was told in very broken English it was a dish called salchipapa - I did not see dish on the menu board. The online menu and the yellow menu board over the register does not contain does not contain all the dishes available. For the full list of food choices, one must pick up menu booklet on the left side of the front counter. However, the last time I attempted to call ahead for a pickup order the person answered the phone and told me to hold on for a second. She proceeded to ring up the customer and completely forgot about putting me on hold as I began hear her chit chat with coworkers for the next 4 minutes . I hung up and attempted to call back but the line was busy for five minutes because the landline was still off the hook. Suffice to say, service was not great. It's a bird! It's a plane! It's SUPER CHICKEN!!!!!! So after reading all the excellent reviews of Super Chicken I decided I wanted to try it. I had been a little hesitant to try it. For one it is called Super Chicken!!! I was expecting to see a Chicken dressed in a Superman Costume there to great us! :) Secondly, it just looked a little a scary. Once I was inside I was handed a menu. The one on the overhead didn't list their entire menu. I ordered a whole chicken and two sides (fries and yuca) for the family to go. It took a couple minutes for it to come out. The chicken was very tender and yummy and had a good flavor to it. The green sauce had a lot of flavor. I think they roast their jalepenos for the suace. UNSAFE FOOD PRACTICES They have to rotisserie units but were using one. Thay had a spit full of raw chicken in contact with and dripping on a spit of cooked chicken. Bags of food, such as rice, were sitting on the floor of the hallway which must never be mopped because that would ruin the bags of food. The men's restroom was dirty and had no seat on the toilet. I have been a loyal, long time Super Chicken customer for many, many years. But have been frustrated at times. The chicken here is the best Peruvian style chicken I know in Manassas. I come here for the chicken only. I have tried a few other dishes, and they have been okay. I have taken a star from their review rating, because there's a lack customer service for the most part, and by that I mean the ladies taking the orders. The guys prepping and boxing your food are nice and helpful almost always. There used to be a tall, slim lady that used to be a the cashier register and she knew what she was doing, kept people moving fast (since you will encounter a line most of time), but she's no longer there. Now, the register ladies are usually talking their time, and forget about getting a hello or thank you. Sometimes the lady at the register seems to be annoyed by you wanting to place an order. Other times they place you on hold (when ordering over the phone) and you can hear their conversations. Another thing that bugs me, lately, is the yellow sauce (which you pay $1 for 4) come 1/4 full only. Super Chicken has room to improve, but can't deny their Chicken is good. The older guy that does the deliveries is super nice and cracks me up, always wants to chat and is very sweet and helpful. The portion sizes were huge, the prices were so economical, and the chicken was incredibly flavorful with a unique blend of herbs and spices seasoning the skin. It rather reminded me of jerk chicken, with all the spices. I really enjoyed my meal, and it was served really quickly, making it the perfect choice for a quick lunch.
