It was my first time visiting this restaurant after reading all the reviews on yelp. I have to say the restaurant was clean, Valentina at the counter was very nice and helped me to decide to order the sides and the alfajores which were all very tasty. Let me first say thank you for opening up in the area! It has been a refreshing change from the normal burgers, arbys or chick fila dance. Mama Llama is located in the Bristow shopping center tucked away between a pizza spot and a burger place. I will say that they truly have stood out on there own and have made a name for themselves really quick! I was skeptical at first because we have had food places open up and disappoint. The food has been delicious everytime I have come. I usually try different items to get a good feel of the flavor factor and they are crushing it!! The lady owner (im not sure of her name) has provided some great service and hospitality. Her interaction with the patrons go far and beyond which I love! It never seems artificial and shows a more genuine feeling. The place always has a small crowd of people waiting to be served. That isn't a bad thing because the food is actually delicious! Mama Llama Rotisserie Chicken opened earlier this week! They are a Peruvian-style rotisserie chicken joint located in the Bristow Center retail complex off of Linton Hall Road. Mama Llama is situated in the physical space previously occupied by Pho Banh Mi 89. I walked in to check the menu out, I ordered a Half Chicken which comes with two sides. I selected Yucca Plantains and Black Beans. I got my order to go. The inside is very nice and inviting. There are plenty of tables to sit and eat in. The place has a cool vibe to it. I met Sonja, who is the manager, Very nice lady! When I got home, I dove into the chicken - very tender and moist, The Yucca plantains were cooked perfectly and had a bit of a fruity aspect to them. If I could give it 10 stars I would! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a huge smile from the girl behind the counter. She makes you feel genuinely welcome, and that level of friendliness sets the tone for the entire experience. Now, the food... oh my gosh. It is absolutely amazing. The chicken is incredibly flavorful and juicy, with perfectly crispy skin that packs so much flavor into every bite. On my first visit, I ordered one of every side because I wanted to try them all. Let's just say I dreamt about the cilantro rice that night. It was heavenly. If you're not a huge cilantro fan, don't worry because the chaufa rice is just as dream worthy. I'm usually not much of a bean person, but both the black beans and the pinto beans were delicious. The fries and the yuca were perfectly crispy on the outside while staying hot and soft on the inside. And the sauces... YUM! I could put that green and yellow sauce on absolutely everything. I was so impressed that I went back for a second visit in less than a week, and it was just as amazing. The food was just as delicious, and I received the same exceptional service. The girl behind the counter even remembered me, which made the experience feel even more personal. She is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Whole chicken, half chicken, quarter chicken, chicken wrap, chicken sandwich, salad with chicken - lots of different ways to eat this yummy chicken. It was so tasty! The staff was very kind and patient as my granddaughters ordered their food. Order at the counter and they will deliver the food to the table when it is ready. Generous portions and a bright and clean atmosphere. Hmmm ... now I want more chicken! read more

This was my second visit this week. On the first visit I orderd the whole chicken meal with chaufa rice and yucca and everything was delicious. I absolutely love the green spicy sauce. On this visit, I decided to try the chicken wrap with fries. They did not miss a beat on this one. The wrap was full of meat and very hearty. I was only able to each half so I had leftovers for later. They also had passionfruit juice which is my favorite. It was so refreshing! Customer service is great and the interior was nice and clean. Went today expecting Peruvian style rotisserie chicken. This wasn't it! The chicken was dry and bland, missing the smoky, marinated flavor and aji sauce you'd expect from real Peruvian pollo a la brasa. Service was fine, but the food just didn't deliver for the price. Won't be back. If you want authentic Peruvian chicken, keep looking. read more

Holy cow or should I say llama. We were looking for someplace different to eat, not pizza, not barbecue, saw Mama Llama and to be honest, we went in because of the name. Let me tell you delicious. I had the Mana Grande Bowl and let me tell you, bring your appetite because it is GRANDE.There is no lie. We will putting this restaurant into our rotation. As of today, 6/29/26 they have only done a soft opening their grand opening will be soon, and they're talking about having a llama, a live, real llama, out front for photo opportunities.Stay tuned. read more

We tried out Mama Llama tonight and were not disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious. My family of three had the whole rotisserie chicken with yucca, chaufa rice, and beans. It was nice that we did not have to drive all the way to Manassas for a good Peruvian chicken dinner and we paid the same as we would have if we had driven further into Manassas. We will be returning to Mama Llama very soon! read more

A total disappointment; the flavor isn't Peruvian in the slightest. Don't use names of Peruvian dishes, because that's not what it is.

People here are so nice, very clean inside as well. The food is AMAZING. We got the chicken, yuka, steak and cheese and rice. Even the plain white rice hits different it's so good. Definitely coming back regularly read more

You can tell the food is good by the way the restaurant smells when you walk through the door. If you love rotisserie chicken you will be very happy to eat here.
