I came here with my inlaws and ended up with a soup that had cut up hot dogs. And did I mention that it was super salty? We got the parilla that was OK and had a lot of food. We had leftovers, but still. That soup is something that I can't forget. The taste of it was so basic and the salinity didn't help. First timer & I loved it! Ordered through uber eats (have yet to dine in) and thought I'd order some simple shredded beef taquitos & a bean and cheese burrito. In case this place wasn't that great. I finally tried out this place after driving by it after work for almost two years. I ordered some chilaquiles and didn't have really high hopes since I am really picky when it comes to chilaquiles. When I tell you these chilaquiles were amazing I am not lying. The presentation was really nice and they had a wide variety of chilaquiles to choose from. I read that they served cafe de olla and it truly did not disappoint. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and canela. It definitely didn't need any creamer. Now the customer service... amazing too. The server stopped by my table several times and I felt very welcomed. I will definitely be coming back! I've had this place bookmarked for a while now and just stopped in for lunch with my brother. It's easy to pass by this place and not notice it. The inside is very spacious, clean, and the decor is nice. The kitchen is open faced right behind the register counter. They serve breakfast all day so we ordered the breakfast molcajete and the chapman chilaquiles. The waitress brought out chips and salsa with a plate of refried beans to start and our orders came out shortly afterwards. I usually don't bother writing good reviews because they already have the praises sang but this place deserves it. The flavors were so good on both dishes. Some note: The chilaquiles had a layer of delicious melted cheese (I believe the same kind of cheese put into Chile relleno tamales) on the base of the skillet. I ordered my chilaquiles with steak but I don't think the steak added much to the dish. I think that also just shows how much the dish stood on its own. The molcajete is enough for 2 people. I love everything about this place. The chips and salsa they bring out to start is a great way to start your meal. I have only been here twice and both times I've gotten the Chapman Burrito, but it is one of the best burritos I have had in my life. The servers are very attentive and make sure you always have a full glass of water. And the design of the entire lot and building is beautiful. We decided to head down to old town Orange for a stroll through this cute neighborhood. While in the area, we decided to find a place to have some dinner. My husband yelped this location and said that this place seemed promising. This is one of those places where the yelp reviews are truly reflective of what the establishment has to offer. Super Antojitos is a cute little Mexican restaurant that is conveniently located just walking distance from the Metrolink Station. If you drive in to the area, you can find parking nearby on the streets in the residential areas. They do have a small parking lot, but it is rather small and parking can be a little tight. Super Antojitos is a cute little restaurant. The exterior looks like a little cafe with vines growing along the siding of the building. The pink door and pink bookshelf with a set of tables and chairs serving as center pieces are so cute. It seems like it's a door to nowhere but this little nook outside is adorable. The interior is very simple. Several tables are close to one another to accommodate the larger crowds that come in. The menu has a lot of traditional Mexican food. I kept it simple and ordered some garlic shrimp with rice and beans. I was surprised that they served tortilla chips with refried beans with grated cheese sprinkled on top for starters. Usually it's chips and salsa, but that was fine with me because I don't like salsa. It didn't take long for our food to arrive. I'd say that our food was brought to our table within 15-20 minutes. Considering how busy this place was, it didn't bother me. The rice was pretty good as it was standard Mexican rice cooked in tomato sauce and seasoned perfectly. The shrimp was delicious, soaking up garlic butter flavor without feeling heavy with each bite. Service was great here as they were very attentive to all of their customers. They didn't just take your order. They actually made small talk with patrons. They tried to throw us off by speaking Spanish to my husband, but they were surprised when I was able to translate for him. So then, they started speaking Spanish to me. It was cute! Stopped by here on the way out of town, we are from AZ. First off, parking they have a smaller private lot with around 12 spots. We went on a Sunday around 12:30 and there was plenty of spots to park. Inside the restaurant wasn't too busy seemed like half regulars and half newcomers inside. We were instantly greeted, sat down and given free chips with beans and salsa, pretty good. We ordered a cup of menudo, pozole and the carne asada plate. Everything came out pretty quickly. The pozole was amazing, super flavorful with lots of meat and it was tender. Pretty large cup of soup easily could've filled me up with their homemade corn tortillas. Carne asada plate plate was good came with rice, beans, grilled green onions and jalapeño also salad on the side with some fresh dressing. This isn't your normal chips + salsa joint...this place starts you off with complimentary chips, salsa, AND frijolitos...which is the way to anyone's heart. The staff here is very friendly and they have signs around their restaurant that let guests know they are short-staffed and that they appreciate their patience. Despite them being short-staffed, they all have such a good attitude and great service. Their breakfast menu is probably my favorite. Instead of the regular chilaquiles, which come in both red or green salsa, I would opt for the volcanic chilaquiles. They are served in a molcajete with their molcajete salsa (adding a little more of a kick, but bearable), and with beans and rice. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT skip on the cafe de olla. It's the best I've ever tasted and it comes in the cutest cup. I've also had their chile relleno meal for dinner along with their chingona sangria. The drink was served with strawberries and blueberries when I ordered it the first time, however, when my father-in-law ordered it on our next visit, it looked a little different. Tonight I ordered a 2 beef enchilada with rice & beans and taquitos to be delivered to me. Ordering was easy and delivery only took 7 minutes. I was happy. The food arrived warm, not hot. Also the portions were kind of small, for what I expected or for what other Mexican restaurants provide. I'm used to my enchiladas being smothered in sauce and cheese to stretch when cut. This was not the case here. Flavor was good, don't get me wrong, but for what I paid expected a bit better. The taquitos too were smaller than again what I'm used to. The rice and beans felt flavorless and bland. They provided complementary and salsa plus a side of beans. The chips and beans were cold. It tasted as though the chips were sitting for awhile. The waiter didn't even offer to refill the chip basket. When I go out to eat the least I expect is for the food to be hot. Soon as we walked in we got a vibe that felt like a cozy Mexican cantina with some serious good food. The staff were friendly and the service was exceptional. They brought us some chips and salsa with some frijoles as soon as we sat down. We ordered the Breakfast Molcajete and the Chapman Burrrito. The Molcajete came out in a hot sizzling cauldron and it was tasty but we could not finish it fast enough before the residual heat from the hot cauldron dried out the meats. Pro tip: The Molcajete is best shard with a group. We really loved the Chapman burrito it was stuffed with asada, rice, and beans covered with sauce, crema, and Avacado. It was served on a sizzling plate with bubbling cheesy sauce which made it even better. It was delicious. What we ordered was way too much food for just two people because we could not finish it all but was completely worthy of a food coma. I wish I could give zero stars. I came today about 4:55pm to try this place I've been eyeing for a while. The server was great asked what he would recommend and gave his recommendations. I went with enchiladas Al la mexicana. The food came out and it was cold! The owner you can review the cameras and see I sat at table 17 around 5:10 I take a piece of chicken out and have it to him on his hand. It wasn't even warm it was cold. He profusely apologized for it. I did expect them to remake it, but instead they just threw the plate on something hot. When he gave back the food I could see they didn't remake it warmed it. My food was not good because the just warmed it up causes red the enchiladas to be super dry and down parts of the enchilada was still cold. The owner again you can review the cameras I left my food behind and pay. I told the server that my chicken was still cold and he said sorry and took my payment. What's so disappointing is I wanted like this place and it being my first time the amount of not caring. I'm sure if I was a food critic like Greg I see on your IG maybe I would have been treated differently. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Now I know why this place was empty.
