Really love this place and the food! Used to come here all the time and get the massive Chapman burrito and a ballena of Pacifico. Last time I went the ownership had changed and alcohol was no longer being served due to license issues. The owner was really nice when he came to our table and apologized about the inconvenience. I hope they have since gotten their liquor license reinstated as the food hasn't skipped a beat under new ownership and it's still one of my favorite places in oc for delicious Mexican food!! read more

Super great service! Trouble for parking but read signs for street next block parking before you get a spot. I had the pleasure of meeting chef Laura today. She's ready to please and greet her customers with a smile and kindness. Her husband was on point to make sure were greeted and seated quickly. This kindness goes far in my book. The beans with salsa and chips was such a treat as we sat down before ordering our meal. I chose to sit outside and again quickly welcomed to sit where we wanted. I ordered breakfast and a salad which has been ordered several times my plus one has been there before. The salad was fresh the spicy dressing was a great green spice ( maybe jalapeno not sure?) the salad was fresh tasting. The huevos divorciasos was a good choice I ordered with steak it was a small portion. The tortillas were such a treat she let let choose so I got q of each but the corn were so fresh so thick homemade taste I had to re choose from flour. Her service was so friendly I am definitely coming back just for her (Laura) I can't wait to order a alcohol beverage when they get their license. A couple of months ago they were advertising their Chapman Burrito on their Instagram which caught my eye. I'm a huge fan of wet burritos and I wanted to try this one. I went to dinner with my folks a couple of days later to check this place out. We were warmly greeted and shown our table. As we were ordering drinks and looking at their menu I told our server that I was here for the Chapman Burrito. He said good choice it's one of the more popular items. It comes with both steak and pork, beans, rice, avocado slices and sauce on top. My mom decided on the menudo and my step dad got the taquito plate. I took one bite of the Chapman Burrito and man it's worth the hype. One of the best burritos I ever had. Both the food and service was good. I don't live too far but are so many mexican restaurants I wouldn't have come here if it wasn't for instagram. I would return to try their other dishes. Highly recommend. read more

Visited in a Monday early afternoon, there was quite a few tables occupied which is always a good sign on a weekday. My husband and I split the breakfast molcajete and it was so good, enough for two plus leftovers. My favorite part was the chorizo, they used high quality chorizo and it had the perfect amount of spice, we ordered the eggs over medium and they came out a little past that but no big deal especially since everything was steaming. My only complaint was there was a lot of bell peppers underneath and only one piece of chorizo. Also their hot sauce was great. Will be back next time I'm in the area. read more

Sweet little spot in Orange with pretty good food. The complimentary chips and salsa comes with refried beans, the salsa had a kick which I liked a lot. The beans were tasty as well. I ordered the Chapman burrito which comes in a piping hot pan covered in a delicious salsa concoction consisting a creamy tomatillo salsa, melted cheddar, sour cream and avocado on top. Inside is filled with steak, chorizo, refried beans, Mexican rice, pico de gallo. The taste is a hot gooey mix of happiness. Definitely give it a try if you're a burrito aficionado. I'm not a fan of the filler of Mexican rice in a burrito but the sauce helps mask it and it works nice here. The carne Asada plate was a typical plate you can find at most places and it was great. The meat was flavored nice and I loved the grilled jalapeño and onions that come with it. Overall the food was excellent. The restaurant has its own parking and has a nice vibe and atmosphere inside. It's very welcoming. We showed up on a Friday night and were sat right away. The service was phenomenal. I never had to once ask for my drink to be refilled and they always made sure we had what we needed. I can't wait to return! read more

Fantastic atmosphere and great service. A complete feast and fairly priced. I got the Chapman Burrito but swapped out the red meat for the chicken. It came out on a sizzling plate you'd normally get fajitas on - so great! Flavors were unique - really happy with my choice. The rest of the menu has a lot of interesting but reliable and classic Mexican dishes, I also loved the side of beans that automatically comes with the complimentary chips and salsa. Nice touch. Chips came out a little cold and the initial salsa serving could have been stronger but this is just me being not picky. I have no real complaints - just a great experience. Great find on Yelp. I was in town for the weekend and always on the hunt for good spots, and this one didn't disappoint. The food was really good, and the service matched -- friendly and smooth all around. I ordered the pozole and the albóndigas... and honestly, I should've picked just one because it was a lot of food (in a good way) lol. Both were flavorful and comforting. The spot itself has great vibes, and the location in Old Towne Orange makes it even better since you can walk around before or after your meal. It comes on a cast iron hot plate and is smothered in a cheese sauce. A hint of spice but very well flavored. The free chips, salsa and refried beans are good. The salsa is a little spicy but complex in a good way. The beans were good and a different type of appetizer, if you haven't been to Guadalajara or some parts of Northern Mexico where this is a typical appetizer, it may seem odd. My colleagues enjoyed the barbacoa, fajitas, and Chapman burrito. The drinks were good and ambiance nice. I plan to return. read more

The staff at this restaurant is truly outstanding--friendly, charismatic, and attentive. The decor is well-done, creating a pleasant atmosphere, though the seating could be more comfortable. While the space isn't large, it does accommodate bigger parties. As for the food, most dishes were enjoyable. The Carne Asada plate and Carne en su Jugo were both delicious, full of rich, well-balanced flavors. The burrito, with its spicy, cheesy sauce, was a hit, and the Chili Verde was also a favorite. However, some items fell a bit short--the beans had a canned taste, the wings had an overly sweet sauce that may not appeal to everyone, and the side soup was a bit too salty. That said, these are largely a matter of personal preference. Overall, it was a great experience with excellent service and mostly enjoyable food. Came here because of Instagram/TikTok, did not disappoint. Tried the whole fried fish (bagre - catfish), and absolutely enjoyed the dish. It's stuffed with steak, chorizo, rice, refried beans, and pico de gallo, and topped with spicy creamy tomatillo salsa, cheese, sour cream, and avocado. It's the definition of a loaded wet burrito and it's as delicious as it looks. Chilaquiles aren't something I always go for but I got to try some of the volcanic chilaquiles because someone else at my table ordered it and it definitely changed my mind. Serving it in a roasted molcajete salsa and queso oaxaca is a gamechanger. It's topped with two eggs of your choice, which we did medium, sour cream, onion, and cilantro.
