First off the service was impeccable, me and my family were trying to open the wrong door to get in and it was obviously locked. The chef and owner Laura made sure to open it for us and tell us to come in and seat wherever we want. My roommate was indecisive about whether or not to get the mole since she has never tried it before. Laura went out of her way to grab her a small ramekin of her mole so she can taste it in case it wasn't for her. We both tried it and loved it, I even changed my order from getting chile verde to the mole over chicken. Some of the best mole I have ever had. My cousin ended up getting the chile verde and man let me tell you, every time I go to a Mexican restaurant I only order chile verde. Hands down the best I have ever had. So tender and tangy. My sister got her famous burrito and it was full of so much flavor. I told Laura she needs to open up a restaurant here in San Diego. Not only was the service 5 starts the food was a 9.5 in my book for Mexican food. And I'm really picky when it comes to Mexican food. This place has the best eggs! You wouldn't think it would be difficult to find decent eggs but it is. My favorite is scrambled with chopped onions and chile; I added bacon and they were delish. My friend and I enjoyed our visit to Super Antojitos in Orange! We both grew up eating Mexican food so we are always a little more particular with Mexican restaurants. I admit this may not be really fair to Mexican restaurants, since our scale is already quite tipped. We were not disappointed at the new Super Antojitos location. The Parking lot was full, so we parked on the street. The complimentary little bean and cheese appetizer and their chips and salsa are so fresh and delicious. When I visit their other locations, I always have to be careful not to fill up on the appetizer. This was no exception. Yum, love their chips and salsa and delicious beans. My shredded beef burrito with beans and rice was excellent and the little side salad was fresh. I can't remember what my pal had to eat but she had no leftovers. She said her flan dessert was good. They are new to the neighborhood, and as of our visit, their liquor license was still pending. The ambiance was quiet and there was a little bit of seating still available. The waiter was nice and attentive even though he was handling several tables. Looking forward to my next visit! Update: We shared the most delicious Molcajete Ranchero which has grilled steak, chicken, nopales, salsa, queso and avocado. It was so so so very good. It comes with corn and/or flour tortillas. We were able to share and had substantial leftovers for lunch tomorrow. At $40 total, it was quite worth it. Will definitely order again. Went to Super Antojito's to try their food. Was turned away by a staff member because they were closed. It was on a Sunday at 3pm. The establishment on yelp clearly says they close at 8:00pm. I even called earlier regarding a question about a menu item and did not receive an answer. The lack of communication this establishment has with its customers is very disappointing. We live in South County between Mission Viejo and Ladera Ranch. We've been driving to San Clemente twice a month to Asada Cantina in the San Clemente outlets for Mexican food but they dropped our favorite item from the menu so we were in the market for new favorite. Fate brought us to the City of Orange on errands. We saw Super Antojitos, thought it was cute from the outside and dropped in. We have a new favorite! Very authentic Mexican, right down to the nopales. Seriously, when was the last time you came across a Mexican restaurant with nopales? I had machaca with nopales. My wife had albondigas. Both were outstanding. They were so outstanding I had to talk to the owner just to tell him we found a new home base! They do need to work on the speed of service for the gabachos (that's me) but my wife is Mexicana so I've learned to go with the flow. To be honest, it just adds to the authentic ambiance. Take your time to peruse a very complete menu, relax and enjoy the best legit Mexican food you're likely to come across in Orange County. It's about 1/2 mile west of the traffic circle on Chapman. Ambience- cute decor very small and table close together service- not great, seemed like they only had two servers for the whole restaurant. To sign in they have a clipboard outside that you're supposed to sign in to. Weird. No host to let you know of wait times or anything. Food- Not impressed. Chips and salsa with a side of beans come out. Beans and salsa were pretty good, some chips were crunchy and delicious others were hard and stale. I ordered a molcajete with shrimp chicken and asada. It did come out piping hot (after about 20+ min) Shrimp was okay, chicken was DRY and bland, asada was also dry and bland, no seasoning at all!! only thing i liked was the queso fresco and salsa at the bottom of the molcajete. My kids got the chapman burrito which was okay but sort of small for the price. I honestly didn't eat my meal, it was so dry i felt like i was trying to chew on beef jerky.
