Happened to have some time in between appointments in Melissa so decided to come here. Excellent service and super good, VERY LARGE hand breaded chicken fried steak. Eggs cooked perfectly! I opted for biscuit as a side and it came with 2, that were lightly grilled. Decided to sausage gravy to go with. Took away half of the steak and a biscuit due to size of meal. Finally some breakfast spots opening in Melissa! This place is located in the new little area close to Braum's and Wingstop. Went here the other morning for breakfast and it was quite delicious. I was worried it was going to be slammed because they just had opened; but it wasn't! However it was a weekday. I did try and go on a Sunday with my family and the wait was entirely too long, but I get it it was Sunday and they're new so everyone was trying to eat there! Great value and excellent breakfast. Carnitas skillet was seasoned well, flavorful, and a good amount of food. Pancakes could use a little work on the recipe to tailor to my tastes but still very good. I searched Yelp and found this location, glad I did. It was your breakfast lunch cafe with abundance of menu items to choose from your breakfast eggs and meat to waffles. I ordered hash browns, with the apple sausage along with scrambled eggs and pancakes. Everything came out promptly and was delicious. Order a bacon ranch panini and was a little suspect when the fries arrived hot (great) the sandwich Luke warm ... the chicken was cold and chewy inside. Few bites and more the same. Sent back for a remake. - my issue is if you serve non eatable food (chicken) replace, would you not comp that portion of ticket based on the experience!? Though the eggs were poached perfectly and the bread was almost toasted enough, the Hollandaise was a little off. Had dinner there tonight around 5:30. I ordered from their "all day" breakfast menu. They either brought me food that was from the morning of or was microwaved. If you can't provide fresh food, either take it off the menu or go back to being open only until lunch is over. Avoid any place that would provide this kind of food to paying customers. read more

We have eaten breakfast and lunch here. While lunch is pretty good, breakfast was fantastic. It is reasonably priced for a good amount of food. Breakfast: the orange juice is fresh squeezed by this awesome machine you can watch, but you pay by the glass. The eggs were cooked perfect, the hash browns were crispy, and the pancakes were super tasty. I also recommend the skillets. Lunch: Sort of light on flavor but great portions and had a few highlights. The fries were nice and crispy, the chicken fried steak was large, but the burger was a bit too well done. I've now been to Sunview Cafe three times since recently moving to Melissa. It's just amazing!! Finding a really great breakfast is always a hit or miss but not at Sunview! The food has been constantly fabulous and they don't skimp on the portions. But beyond the food, the people are incredibly welcoming and kind and the place is spotless! Although all the food is temping their omelets are insane! My family has made Sunview a part of our routine and now look forward to every visit!! read more

Could not have been better! We had brunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had one of their skillets and my wife had a scramble. Portions were very generous and the flavors were outstanding! Our waitress was as sweet as could be and one of the best I've had in quite some time. The restaurant was spotless and the decor very welcoming. Prices were in the $10-$12 range for most breakfasts. I once again left disappointed. The first time my has browns came out burnt I mean they were clearly burnt with black mixed in with very dark brown. When I questioned our server about see said some people like them crisp. I could not believe that she considered those crisp. Today I ask for white toast with my breakfast. It was white alright, nothing was even remotely like toast. It was buttered but I wish I had my phone and had taken a picture of it. Iwas like a piece of bread that was left out overnight. I had to hunt done my waitperson to show her what she served. Now I know the servers are at the mercy of the cooks, but they are the last step in quality control.
