Tears of Gratitude…read more Our yard was seriously attacked by the last ice storm in Austin. I called our wonderful tree service, Marcus, "Just Trees" and sent photos of our damage. He sent his guys today. They, a team of four guys, arrived at 4:00 PM EXHAUSTED. I surveyed the damage with the foreman, Pablo, and he looked at me, as if I wanted him to fly me on his back to Mars, and finally said, "We will do our best to address the major concerns, and then we can come back..." I left at 6 PM to have dinner with a friend, the sun was quickly setting, and there was a 35' Oak tree, bi-truncated laying on the ground, a 40' Pecan tree with two major branches fallen, a row of Oak branches...I thanked him profusely and left. I came home at 9:30 PM and used by BIG ASS Flashlight and reviewed the work. I immediately began to cry...These hardworking, amazing guys, had cleaned the ENTIRE yard. I can't fathom the depth of character and commitment to work that these guys employed. Anyone else might of said, well, it's getting dark, we're exhausted and we will come back...Not these cats. I feel so blessed and so fortunate. There are GOOD PEOPLE in the world, and these guys are on the list!

The Just Trees work that deserved a 2-star review on 6/25/2023 (see the review) was an aberration…read more Today, Tree Service sent a different crew to my home and--without charging me--this different crew spent 2 hours doing an excellent job of clearing all the deadwood out of my trees that the previous crew sloppily left. I'm still broken-hearted that the original crew cut down without reason two big limbs on my heritage live oak that were not supposed to be cut down (basically, cutting the whole limbs down saved them time). There's a lesson to be learned: Be sure that the crew chief who is responsible for work on your trees understands exactly what work he is supposed to do, and make sure he receives permission before doing any additional work that you and the arborist have NOT approved of. I'll definitely be using Just Trees in future. Chris Poth is surely one of the top arborists in Texas--and he's as principled as he is knowledgeable.

He and his team were efficient and thorough. Took two days to chop down three trees (1 dead, 2 live) with grinding. They even cleaned up and mowed my lawn and cleaned up all the leaves as well as cleaning up all the driveways. We had some large trees and there was debris across three driveways including our neighbors. They did cut an underground hose I was completely unaware of while grinding one of the tree stumps, but Arturo came by a week later and fixed it. They are responsible and have insurance in case any of the workers get injured. With the grinding of the stump and roots, you can't tell there was even a tree there. Keep in mind that they grind the roots about foot deep, so we had to contact the city to mark any gas pipes or electricity lines which wasn't hard to do (city sent someone promptly in a few days)

The Amigos crew did an excellent job! The boss, Rocky, did a walk thru on the job before hand…read more Rocky did another walk thru with the crew foreman. The crew did exactly what we wanted them to do-- and they DID NOT butcher our trees! The Amigos crew went out of their way to minimize the cutting to preserve the tree canopy. The result is tree limbs off the roof, brush cut back away from the house and a yard that looks much neater. All of those things are important for the neighborhood that we live in. For all of the work that Amigos did on our trees, the price was very reasonable. Five stars for sure!
