We utilized Michael and his crew for tree trimming and removal services in June and wanted to let time slide by before sharing my experience. A good tree trimmer and cleaner envisions how the trees will grow back and how that will impact your maintenance, views, and charm of your home and yard. I can say that Wild Oak Tree service did all of that AND ensured that my yard was properly trimmed and cleaned up afterwards. They did excellent and timely work and highly recommend them to everyone. With all the rain this year and rapid growth, I look forward to requiring their services again :D Thanks much team! Chad read more

Our experience with this company was deeply troubling. Their unsafe work practices caused damage to our property, and when it came time to take responsibility and make the necessary repairs, they stopped responding. Based on our experience, I would strongly caution others against working with them. read more

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Wild Oak Tree Service. We hired them to trim trees on our property, and during the work their crew damaged our fence. Accidents happen, and we would have been completely understanding if they had simply taken responsibility and fixed the damage. Instead, the most frustrating part of this experience has been what happened afterward. We have repeatedly contacted the company and given them multiple opportunities to come back and repair the fence. We have been told it would be addressed, followed up multiple times, and continued to get delays and avoidance rather than a resolution. At this point, we have spent far more time chasing them than any customer should have to spend trying to get a contractor to repair damage caused by its own crew. A company's professionalism isn't just about completing the original job -- it's also about how they respond when something goes wrong. Based on our experience, Wild Oak Tree Service has failed badly in that regard. We gave them every reasonable opportunity to make this right before leaving this review. Unfortunately, they have not done so. I would not hire them again and would caution others to think carefully before doing so. read more

Quoting was good process, minus an hour late to appt with no notification. They didn't finish the job and strung us along that they were then eventually ghosted. I now have to pay again to have stumps ground and clean up the mess they left. They lie and say they are using a tree specific sealant, but I found empty cans of cheap acrylic spray paint. Also missed dead branches from one of my trees. read more

Late-Late for the estimate, and terrible professionalism on sight. Never finished the job. really sad, I have more work for someone who is worth it but I would never pay these guys again. they did half assed work, left a mess, and generally were horrible all around. Don't take the chance even if they offer less. read more

If there was an option for zero stars, I would give that. I scheduled this company to come out last Saturday for stump grinding, and no one showed up. No call, no email, nothing. Since then I have tried reaching them through every channel possible -- email, text message, and phone call -- and have been completely ignored. The owner, Mike, will not even take my calls. It goes straight to voicemail every time, meaning he is actively rejecting the calls rather than just missing them. I also tried the contact form on their website, but that appears to be a fully automated system that no one actually monitors or responds to. This is some of the worst professionalism I have encountered from a business. They are completely unreliable and not trustworthy. If anyone needs to reach the owner directly to file a complaint, his number is 512-966-3550, though don't expect him to actually pick up. Avoid this company. read more

Review: Wold Oak Tree Service: I want to let folks know what a wonderful experience I had with Wild Oak Tree service. Having over 12 heritage trees and many others that needed trimming, they did a terrific job. Their timeliness, quality of work, and clearing up the yard were fantastic. The price for the work was very reasonable. I wIll assuredly use them in the future. read more

Don't trust these guys. They say one thing and do another, or lack thereof. They took advantage of my elderly parents, crew was dirty, lazy and took naps on the property while they were supposed to be working. When I contacted the owner Mike and Jesse his fall guy, and no results. Took $7000 to trim a few trees, they didn't even complete the work they took their own pictures of. When I asked him to come back and take care of it, just got the run around. Run don't walk, find someone else. read more

Do hire this company, unreliable , untrustworthy company, they use the very simple words in your quotation and they complete not do what you want like cut off the branches closed your house and you should add more and more money . They went way above and beyond what I asked for and were very reasonably priced. Mike, Jesse and the crew were very professional and easy to work with to work with. The crew did exactly what I asked for and I'm very pleased with their work. read more

What a nightmare! They first came out after a day of rain and I questioned whether it should be rescheduled to to health hazards. I should have insisted but was schmoozed by the onsite manager. At the end of they had broken off 3-13 inch limbs of my aloe Vera, dropped a big branch on my1 week old fence, dropped another branch on an iron chair(ruining the arm), then driving out made and 8 inch rut in the grass by the drive and another rut by my gate. Jesse the sales guy promised all would be remedied. It is now a month later and my fence is still crumpled. The team he brought did fix the rut on the drive but not by the gate. My chair arm is still ruined. When I texted Jesse (3 times) fixing the fence was put off. Through out my talks with Jesse I pleaded with him not to take advantage of me...and yet here I am. Do not do any business with this company unless you have a written contract for every single thing they promise. I would not recommend this company because of their lack of professional conduct and their proven actions to take advantage of me as a single senior. read more

this joke of a company came to my home destroyed my trees. when I asked for 2 trees to be trimmed in a smaller shape like a half circle. what I got instead they raised the canopy 6ft high and 2 uneven tops of the trees. I never asked for that the trees are now an eye soar in my front yard please don't use the incompetent company and tree trimming jokers. they will me up your trees. read more

Wild Oak Tree Services did a job for my neighbor for a very good price. I was very impressed with the way they tied a tree so it fell precisely in the narrow space between our houses without bumping into anything so I decided to hire them too. Jessie went out of his way coming after the end of his day to do the estimate at a time that worked for me. He knows his stuff and made recommendations based on tree health and type. He pointed out that someone had "topped" a couple of my trees that were growing in an ugly tangle and explained that they would never grow right after that. He gave me various options to work within my budget and even threw in removal of some smaller trees. The team was friendly and hard working. I wasn't able to watch most of it but I will say they removed some very difficult large broken branches that were waaaay up high; hauled away a tremendous amount of wood in their chipper truck, and got the job done quickly with a smile. Juan did a surprise extra cleanup of leaves and branches from my driveway and back porch, nice! Many thanks to Jessie, Juan, Miguel, and José! read more

I found this company on the computer. I'm a property manager and we are set to pay out companies within 30 days if not sooner. My invoice came in while it was time to pay the owners and her contribution to pay out this invoice was being refunded back to the owner. the system was seeing this as rent income. Unfortunately, the bill just kept getting bigger and bigger. I decided to pay it out of pocket to avoid any more late fees. After explaining the situation to the owner. He told me that his late fees are there to protect them from situation like mine, Which I totally respect. Original invoice was $890. The job was completed on June 7th. By the 21st it was a little over $1400. Mike was able to bring it down to $1040.which I'm thankful for. However, If your a property management company I don't recommend that you use them if your set up like we are. I stand by by client and can't charge her their late fees, knowing this was a system error. so I had to eat the difference. We manage over 800 properties and I have not ran into a situation like this. Over all they did a great job came out right away and would recommend them. But, I can't use them again with in my company. read more

Unreliable, untrustworthy company! They will string you along on the date of service as well as the price! Go elsewhere!

I used Wild Oak Tree Services last week and let me tell you it was money well worth spent. Mike's crew did an amazing job! I liked the fact that I didn't have to be home while they worked. Crew was very respectful of my property, and they cleaned up after themselves as if they were never there. These guys are awesome. Definitely will be using them again and no doubt I will be recommending them to family and friends. Very satisfied customer here! Esperanza read more

After a really bad ice storm in February 2023 that left far to many of my huge oak trees damaged & broken along with just as many huge cedars trees that were damaged & split wide open, I decided I needed major help getting the 1.20 acres back in order. After having 5-6 different tree service & arborists come to look at the job, I decided on Wild Oak Tree Service to do this job. First Jesse prepared a very reasonable estimate, and within a few days Juan & his fantastic crew of men showed up and immediately got to work. These men were the hardest workers I have ever seen and they did a fantastic job. I am so happy with the end results, & they cleaned up the property after cutting all the broken limbs and hauled it all away. I would highly recommend this company and for someone who never gives a five star review, this company deserves a stellar 10 stars Do not even hesitate to hire these guys, they went above and beyond my expectation, you won't regret your decision to hire Wild Oak Tree Service in Austin Texas they are absolutely the BEST !!! most sincerely, Lisa S Bybee Canyon Lake, Tx read more

Do not hire! Completely unacceptable job! We hired Wild Oak Tree Service to trim dead tree limbs hanging over upper/lower deck and roof! The dead branches over the lower deck were not even touched. I sent photos, and asked Mike over and over again, to come back and do what he agreed to do! He lied by saying he called my cell phone several times to set up a time to return, but I have never received a missed call from his number! It has been two months, and now Mike completely ignores my calls and emails! See photos! read more

**Do not hire** Wild Oak Tree Service. We had a horrible experience. Was quoted $1800 Total by the owner Mike Ruiz. Down from 2k. The crew came and left early without completing their work. Many trees were left incomplete and when I asked the field supervisor he said they would need to come back another day to complete the project and clean up. The owner Mike Ruiz got involved and everything went downhill from there. He was insisting that we pay for the incomplete project and also kept sending different invoices much higher than the $1800 total that he agreed on. When we said we would like the work completed and the correct price to be invoiced before paying he began to get agitated and abusive. He also claimed that we were given a $4,000 estimate and a $2,000 estimate and that we chose the cheaper estimate. A complete fabrication. Never happened. $4000 would cover my house and both neighbors. Not only was Mike not willing to complete the job and honor his $1800 total quote he began to harass us and although he never met me or my family he made inappropriate comments about my wife and children. I was completely shocked! I have never experienced a person that is so bold. Why would someone speak this way to his customer? When I refused to pay until the work was completed and the invoice was correct Mike then began to threaten to file Theft of Services charges claiming that we would go to jail. Who does this? He also kept taunting me. Super immature. Once he realized his threats and insults were not going to work he decided to return to complete the project so he could get paid. The absolute worst customer service and zero resolution experience. I hope this review serves to warn potential customers of what they could experience if they do business with Wild Oak Tree Service. We are completely disappointed. It's also ironic that both neighbors were waiting for me to let them know if we were happy as they need tree trimming performed as well. Of course I could not recommend. I have attached the threatening letter that he pulled from the internet and sent to us as a means to collect on an incomplete job. I am still blown away by the tactics. Even though the price was still higher than what he quoted it was worth it to just pay him off to be rid of him and the Horrible experience. Of course, I am sure he will have a totally different story. See the attached legal info he pulled from the internet to threaten us with. read more

Came quickly. Did the job as I asked and most importantly cleaned up including some old piles of tree branches I had on my back patio.

Unprofessional, late, lied, damaged property and was disrespectful towards my spouse. Do not use these individuals please head my warning.

The crew did an excellent job when they trimmed our numerous Cedar trees. They even took out some invasive species for me. I would highly recommend their services, friendly, efficient, and affordable. read more

Mike and his guys were great! They put me on the schedule right away and just in time because a branch fell off the dead tree a few hours after I scheduled them. I got multiple quotes and their pricing was great. I had just put sod in but, they made sure to be careful with it and left may yard looking like there was never a tree there in the first place. On top of it all they took a second stump out at no extra cost! I highly recommend them and you won't find a faster, more professional tree service out there. I plan on using them again to plant a couple trees here in the near future. Use them if you need any tree service! read more

I don't write reviews but I thought it was important to share what I didn't find. After speaking with him I looked up the certification for this new company and could not locate any credentials. Owner is a helpful and knowledgeable salesman but it's very deceitful to make such false statements about being certified/licensed so I was not comfortable conducting business with them. Always do research. Buyer beware. Upon closer look the 5 star reviews/reviewers even seem questionable. read more

Not a bad company because they eventually got the job done, but they are really bad at communicating with the customer and keeping their word. They showed up the first day to give an estimate on my tree that had fallen at the beginning of the month, and even stated to us that by paying a security deposit of $500 we would be "securing" our appointment a week later for it to be removed. Come the day of the appointment they completely no showed. we called, texted Mike Ruiz, and even sent emails. No response until the next day, I was told they had scheduling issues and moved my appointment to the NEXT week. Come the day before my next appointment I called them to be sure I was still scheduled, they assured me they would be there at noon. Come the next day they no showed/ no called again.... it was frustrating that they would not return any of my calls, emails, or text messages. I had been out $500 already which was supposed to "secure" my appointment, and after reading other reviews I was sure they would refuse to give me a refund on my deposit. I called mike the next day and asked why they didn't show up, I was told that they scheduled more appointments than they should have and they couldn't do too many a day. He then told me they would be there the NEXT week "for sure, no questions asked." I then asked him what if they don't show again? Mr. Mike Ruiz told me that I would be " entitled to a full refund, and he would do the work for free" . The next week came and again....No call/no show/ no reply. They ended up coming the next day to start and finish the job. I never expected him to keep his word about doing it for free, I mean if they couldn't do it for MONEY IN HAND....why would they come for nothing? after I received my bill, I never heard from mike. Sorry about the story time, but I want to warn everybody before they use this company. They lie, wont return calls/ messages, and are very unprofessional. I would rate 0 stars....but they did remove the tree. there are better companies, please for the love of god do not use Wild Oaks Tree Services. read more

I would do a negative if it was possible. My husband called and talked to this company yesterday. They came out & chopped our tree that was damaged in the recent storm. They were to come back today 10/26/22 to clear & haul away the tree. Multiple calls were made today starting at 10:10am with the last call being at 5:52pm no show. The person on the phone stated they would call & find out what happened (still waiting on that call and the offices are close). We will NEVER use this company again. Unprofessional & lack integrity. Don't start a job you can't finish. read more

Our neighbors used this company a few months back. We loved the way their trees looked after the trim job. The neighbor highly recommended them based on price, professionalism and knowledge. We hired them to remove one tree and do extensive trimming on 8 more. Jesse showed up on time for the initial evaluation/ estimate and gave us an expected time line to finish. They completed the work on time and as promised. Highly recommended. We will be using them to maintain the great job they did. Much appreciated!!! read more

This company ignored the no-soliciting sign at the entrance to our neighborhood and the no-soliciting sign two inches below my doorbell. I then told them about the no-soliciting policy in our neighborhood, yet they continued to solicit. I later found out other neighbors had advised them of the policy, to no effect.
